Inspiration Open to All Closed

Elia truthfully didn’t mind the cold. She often preferred it to heat from the summer sun and would stay indoors in her room with just a tank top and shorts on reading some book. Honestly she didn’t.

But it was starting to get colder than she could (and wanted to) handle.

Elia shivered as she tugged her robes closer to her body. The flimsy fabric did little to help her shaking body and Elia sneezed. The only reason she was outside was because the Slytherin common room was filled to the brim with cabin fever infected children. The library was closed today for cleaning and Elia was tired of staying indoors.

Snuggling into her robes a little more, she could feel the bark of the tree scratch at her clothing as she rubbed her back into the tree. The wind billowed and whipped around her but Elia made no attempt to move.

Elia began to rummage in her bag for something to work on or do. Sitting was trivial and her mind needed something to work on. She had her wand, neglected homework, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Muggle cards, and her fashion sketch book. Over the holidays her mother had gifted her a sketch book which allowed her to design clothing and accessories. It was from one of the muggle village shops. Elia loved it and had begun to design several dresses that Muggles called “Prom Gowns”.

The gears in her mind began to work quickly as she pulled her sketchbook out and began to work in a new piece she titled “Cabin Fever”

It was a mermaid style dress with blue chiffon fabric and white jewels adoring the sweetheart neckline.

Pleased with the dress Elia began to doodle more works all inspired by the dreary weather.
