A teasing smile seemed to tug at the Gryffindor''s lips and William wished he could be totally oblivious to the blush that crept up his face at his own apologies. He had never been really good with those before and it wasn't now that he would start to be.

That banter, altough good, had really diverted his attention, however inattentive he might have looked before all this. After class, he set himself to an hour at the library to finally write to his parents about his plans for the holidays. He really needed to know if they wold be there and who would pick him up from the train. William liked to be organized and his parents varying timetable were not helping that matter.

When the boy anounced that he needed to go, the Slytherin perked up from his train of thought. A knot formed for a second in his stomach before he answered back, "Sure, nice to meet you. I guess I also should get going." William cringed at his unsure voice. He didn't want to leave it at that, but Elsian seemed to really need to go.

Stepping back to head away, the young boy turned for a moment. Lifting a hand he returned Elsian's last greeting with a "See you" of his own. Finally, he turned around and stalked away as the other disapered in the other direction.

He wished it wouldn't be the last time they ran into each other.
