Hello, Virgil!

Don't worry, you aren’t bothering me. It’s a surprise you wrote to me though. I wasn’t expecting it, so it’s a nice surprise! 

My break has been nice so far. I’ve been spending a lot of time out and about, just to get out of the house for a while. One thing I really enjoy is taking walks around my neighborhood. It’s quite in the snow, and it’s really pretty so that’s a plus. 

I haven’t really thought about Christmas presents if I’m being honest. I usually get a book or two from my mom, but I have no idea what I want. You don’t have to get me a present, although I appreciate the thought (:

But if you are one of those people incessant on getting their friends presents, maybe surprise me? Is there anything you’d like?

Also, feel free to owl me as much as you’d like. It gets pretty boring around here, so I’d like to have some contact with the outside world. I’ll never be too busy to reply!

Dear Isaac,

It's good to know that you're having a good time. Things in my place are getting so crazy I don't think I can handle it; a lot of running and screaming, decorations here and there, my poor head might explode! I can't complain, though. I love being surrounded by this crazy family of mine.

Anyway, I went to Diagon Alley yesterday with my father and cousins. While I was looking around, I found something I thought you'd like. I'll send it on Christmas Eve, of course, I have to keep the mystery, but don't get your hopes up! I'm being simple here. Answering your question... Well, I can't think of anything. I'm a spoiled brat when it comes to gifts, haha. You don't need to get me anything, but thanks for the thought!

I have to go now. My cousin and his friend Varban want to play Quidditch, so that means I'm going to be a beater. One day, let's play together! Sorry for the short letter.

Dear Virgil,

I get the whole “Crazy Family” thing. Back when I used to go visit my family for holidays, it was honestly the most obnoxious setting I’ve ever been in. Little cousins and crazy aunts really make the whole thing. 

Are you really sure you don’t want anything for Christmas? It’s honestly no big deal (although overly expensive things  are out of my reach, yikes). But I’m excited to see what you got me! You really didn’t have to, but I appreciate it (:

I’m about to go on another walk, so I guess I’ll send this out when I get back.

Dear Isaac,

It's finally Christmas!

My place is glowing with an almost unbearable excitement; cousins running across the place, the smell of food is making me fly towards the kitchen and I'm over the moon wanting to open the gifts put under the enormous tree. (Let me tell you, decorating it was so difficult, due to my height and all, haha...!)

Anyways, I'm writing this letter just to let you know that your gift is on the way. (Hopefully, my owl will be able to send the gift with it, without accidentally dropping it in somebody else's head.) I hope you like it. I had quite the trouble choosing it, my anxiety didn't let me rest.

Also, I apologize for taking so long to write back. I've been having a hard time with my mother and I didn't want to end up sounding rude in any way shape or form.

I hope you understand.

Alongisde the letter, there's a large box with several smaller gifts inside. First, a wizard book, with a simple note 'This is my favorite novel to read and I thought you'd like it'. Second, a snake silver bracelet. The snake's eyes are two emeralds. And, third, a drawing of the two of them.

Ah, your house sounds full of energy. I’m sure you’re having fun. Your tree must be really big if you had trouble decorating, even if you are short (;

But thank you so much for the gifts! I love them!! The drawing is beautiful, I hung it up on my wall as soon as I got it (:

Also, the bracelet is super cool. I’m excited for you to see me wear it when we’re back at Hogwarts! And once I find time, I’ll for sure read that book you gave me. Again, thank you!
