We Meet Again
Roman was having an awful day. He had sat through the most boring class known to man (some called it History of Magic), he had fallen over in the Great Hall in front of everyone during lunch, and he was snagged his robe on some sort of flag pole looking thing, ending in him now wearing what looked like a mangled piece of fabric.
'For the love of God, get me outside.' Roman needed to go somewhere that wasn't as crowded, where he could just sit on one of Hogwarts' many benches and look around and try not to overthink. He figured the courtyard was a good place to do this- sure, there would be people there, but he could always find a nice space to sit and gather himself. Plus, he still held out hope that he would run into someone he already knew and had talked to.
As Roman entered the courtyard, he realized with pleasure it was a cloudy day, with even some mist covering the area. Sometimes the sun was fine- even enjoyable- but he didn't exactly feel like that would be the case today. Roman tended to prefer days where it was slightly cool, and where the mist felt like it was hugging him.
The boy took a deep breath and quickly found an empty seat. He looked around at his fellow students- there were probably only 15 or so out here right now compared to the usual 30+, but each one seemed to belong. They were sitting with their friends and laughing, maybe playing a game, maybe just sitting in someone's company. Part of Roman wished he was a more social person. He really wasn't a bad guy once you got to know him, it's just, he could be... blunt. He'd been told, "you certainly make an abrupt first impression" by his mum's friend, and he thought that summarized it well. He didn't hate people, he just didn't know how to talk to them.
Just then, a blur crossed the right side of his vision, causing Roman to glance over. 'Wait- is that- Angelo? I- ROMAN HE'S WALKING AWAY GO SAY SOMETHING.'
"Angelo!!!" he shouted without thinking. The boy turned around, but so did everyone else in the courtyard. 'Oh good, I've done it again.'

We Meet Again
Angelo was walking through the courtyard with his schoolbag slung over his shoulder, enjoying the crisp, cool breeze. His mind was elsewhere, however, as he was mulling over the confusing contents of his previous classes. Hogwarts academics was as terrifying as he imagined them to be, and in Charms he already found himself daydreaming. Then, he was snapped out of his thoughts at the sound of a familiar male voice cutting through the air calling his name.
"Angelo!!!" The boy called. It took Angelo a bit before he recognized Roman, one of the students he sat with on the way to Hogwarts. And his new friend, supposedly. A bit of relief filled him knowing he'd have at least someone to talk to if he wanted to pass the time.
"Hi, Roman," Angelo greeted politely, turning to face Roman completely. He took a bit to look over him, and then another moment to really look at him. There was a smear of dust on his clothes, maybe even some on his face, and his robe looked like it had been lit aflame and chewed up by a dog. Roman looked like he'd been through some wear and tear himself.
"What happened?" Angelo found himself asking, staring a bit too long at Roman's tattered clothes. Angelo assumed it was some sort of Flying class accident, or a wrong flick of the wand in Charms. "Er, well, it doesn't look that bad," he said, trying to cover up his surprise. "You... you uh, look fine." Occasional odd glances from other students said otherwise. An odd attempt at reassurance.
"How was your classes so far?" Angelo asked, hoping to divert attention from Roman's absolutely wrecked uniform.
