Adelina Moore - First Year - Hufflepuff

Adelina is the eldest of four, with twin younger sisters aged five (Audrey and Alice) and one two year old baby brother (Albert). Her father, Anthony Moore, is a doctor who loves music and inventing. He makes little music boxes and showed her how to make them when she was 7. Her mother, Amaryllis Moore, is a healer at Saint Mungo's and she loves to paint, read and garden.

Adelina (often called Lina or Addie by family and Addie or Del by friends) had a comfortable first ten years of her life. Although a lot of her parents time was taken up by work, she didn't mind. From the tender age of 3, books were a constant presence in Addie's life, and so, by the age of 9 1/2 she had read all of the books, both wizarding and muggle, that she could get her hands on. Anything she found herself interested in, she would hone that skill until it was near perfection. Anything she didn't like however, was read about, learnt about and then pushed to the back of her mind. Because of all this, most of her early years were spent learning as much as she could, as quickly as she could, to the best standard that she could.

Adelina always knew of the existence of the Wizarding World, however, she never expected to receive her Hogwarts letter. Afterall, she had never performed accidental magic. That is, until the day before her eleventh birthday...

Addie was returning home from the library, with a stack of books reaching just below eye level. When suddenly, someone bumped into her. All of the books fell from her arms, however, rather than winding up sprawled on the floor, they hovered just above the ground. She was so excited that she rushed home to tell her mother, after picking up the books of course!
