Wherever the wind takes her
Veronica rode in the back of her mother's car. Honestly the ride scared her. Her mother never once spoke to her, keeping her eyes fixated on what ever was in front of them on the road. She's probably happy that she won't have to deal with me for nine months. Veronica turned her attention away from her mother towards her hands, perfectly manicured nails, lightly tanned skin, adorned with a few of her rings. On her left hand she had a ring that resembled a bent arrow around her middle finger, and a single silver band was on her thumb, while on her right hand, she wore her father's class ring on her thumb, and a silver band on her ring finger. Although she'd never met him, Veronica believes that her father loved her very much, and almost never takes off the class ring.
A soft sigh escaped her slightly glossed lips. She couldn't be more happy to see King's Cross Station. The uncomfortable silence was killing her. "Remember, Veronica, we are pure bloods, and want nothing to do with the mudbloods. You stick with your own kind, understand." Not daring to anger her mother, Veronica simply nodded her head, keeping her eyes trained on her shoes. "Yes mother, I understand." Veronica had no problem with what the blood status of anyone was, she just wanted some friends.
Her mother gave her a quick hug that seemed to say, 'Do as I instructed or else' not your typical 'I love you and have fun' types of hugs. Shaking it off, Veronica grabbed a hold of her suitcase, and headed into the train station. What still bothered Veronica was how her mother despised the muggles, but still decided to live in their towns, go to their restaurants, attend their events, it perplexed the young red head.
Entering the station, Veronica had received many stares for the way she was dressed. She looked like she belonged in Beauxbatons, just by the way she was dressed. She had on black heels, and a gray suit that her mother had picked out, claiming that it 'Show's off our status as pure bloods' She couldn't really argue with her mother. She knew better. So she just kept walking, and walked straight through the wall between platforms 9 and 10.
Instead of trying to push past people on the platform, Veronica headed straight onto the train, feeling uncomfortable under all of their stares. She kept her eyes down, but her head remained high. She knew that it would give off the wrong impression, but she could care less at the moment. She just needed to find a place to sit before the train took off.
Maneuvering through the hall of the express, Veronica saw compartment after compartment full with different students conversing. She'd received a few judgmental looks, a few cat calls, and a few smiles. She was thankful for the smiles. She needed those smiles, they helped her continue with her search. Walking a bit further she caught sight of a young female sitting alone inside a compartment. "Excuse me," She opened up the door after knocking on the door frame. "Do you mind if I sit here? Every other compartment seems to be full."
