It's the first week into the summer holiday. This is the time Hana's been waiting for since the last month - freedom, or a little expedition around London on her own, or maybe with some friends she'll find randomly. She's in her family estate in London, not a gigantic one, but large enough to just call it a mansion or a manor. She never understands why they need such a big house but guess it's the perfect place for a party or a sleepover. Anyways, she is in her room, procrastinating when she suddenly thinks about her desire of exploring Diagon Alley and buy stuff, useless stuff. Getting up from her bed, she walks to her wardrobe, finding an oversized white t-shirt with a graphic of a dog on it and a short denim skirt. To be honest, this isn't exactly Hana's style but she doesn't even want to care anymore. Finding a pair of clean long white socks just scattered on the floor, she picks it up and wear it with her silver runners which she knows it's going to turn black by the time summer ends.Date: 15 July 2025

"Mother, father, I'm going to go out for a while, I'll come back at night, trust. And bye brother, though I don't really care about you" She teases. Walking a few steps down the stairs, she slightly trips, gripping the handle firmly. "Stupid stairs" She mutters under her breath. "Oh shoot, my wallet" Then, Hana rushes back to her room, making sure she won't trip again and snatches the wallet on her desk. After 5 minutes of going back and forth to her room to get her lucky necklace, bracelet and her hairclips, respectively, she's ready to go.
"Diagon Alley" she mutters throughout her 15 minutes walk to Diagon Alley, which sounds like she's part of a cult and is doing some sort of ritual. It is summer, we all know that, and it's exactly noon when she arrives, and that makes the temperature hotter. And it's not a good thing. Hana always know there's a good ice cream shop and summer time is the best excuse for her to eat a million balls of ice cream.
And there she is, walking into the Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour, and looking at that pastel colour of the decorations of the shop. "Darling, what would you like?" The lady asked. Snapping her attention back to the lady, Hana quickly scans through the different variety of flavours and replies, "Ah yes. I want a butterbeer flavoured one and a raspberry one. After saying this, Hana takes out her dark green coloured pouch with a tiny embroidered serpent and hands the lady a galleon. She still remembers last summer, when she got her letter, the whole family thought she's going to get sorted into Slytherin for sure, like her father and brother, given her inner cunningness and ambition, so they gave her this pouch as her gift. But well, now, she got sorted into Gryffindor, and she doesn't want to make this pouch a waste so she's still using it anyways. That's why we all learn a lesson that you shouldn't give a person gift unless you know it suits them.
After getting her ice cream, she sits down on the chair inside the shop. Stretching, and yawning, and eating the ice cream. She starts to think: Mmm... what should I do next? Chaos or just chill? Ugh.. whatever, I just I'll just let this day be a chill day. There is no one here to cause chaos with me and it's not fun. I need to learn to be chill. And today will be my first day of trying.

_______________________________________________________________Korinna whisked into Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlor, smiling as the door bell jingled cheerfully in her wake. She'd actually never been in here before. Not that she could remember, at least. Perhaps her mother had taken here there when she was younger? maybe?
She'd been hanging out around Diagon Alley to take a look at school supplies, even though school was still about one or two months away. She was incredibly excited for school to start -- and yeah, maybe she hadn't made that many friends in her first year, but the second year would be great now that she knew her way around and such. Not to mention the incredible second year classes?
Korinna walked up to the counter, smiling at the person in the front. "Hello! I'd like a -" she paused for a moment, gaping at the menu. "- a mango and matcha please."
After paying, she wandered around, looking for a place to sit. The small pastel parlor was quite packed, which was to be expected, since, well, everyone got icecream during the summer. Not to mention this was the most popular icecream place in diagon alley? It would be a miracle if they managed to find somewhere to sit down.
Her eyes caught on a girl who looked about her age, sitting alone at a table. Against her better judgement, she walked towards her - perhaps a fellow hogwarts student?
"Hey! I'm Korinna.. would you be alright with me sitting here? I-I feel like I may have seen you around somewhere. Or maybe not. Do you go to Hogwarts?" She was definitely bluffing now, pretty sure she'd never seen this girl in her life. Maybe they didn't go to Hogwarts, there were certainly other wizarding schools out there. That was the assumption though, since, y'know, what other wizarding school would you attend in Britain?
They sighed, threading their fingers through their hair nervously. Why was she being so forward? Why were social interactions so complicated??

Hana continued to sit in the Ice Cream Parlour, eating her ice cream, lost in her own thought. But the silence shattered as someone walked towards Hana and asked if they could sit there. Hana looked up from her cup and glance up and down at the girl, she does that every time she meets a new person. It was a girl, a girl who looked the same year as herself.Date: 15 July 2025

"I'm Hana, Hana Suzuki, or whatever you'd like to call me. I don't really mind if you sit with me so go for it. Eating one more bite of ice cream, she continued, "You've seen me around Hogwarts? That's cool. But I never seen you around there. Moreover, did you just ask me if I attend Hogwarts? I definitely didn't attend Hogwarts, I go to Mahoutokoro, travelling 15000 kilometer to here by my own, strolling through a street that I don't even know. Yep. And Hana's sarcastic comment was out again, people really need to get used to that if they decided to be Hana's friend, to be honest. "But I'm rather curious, which school did you think I go to, if you think I'm not from Hogwarts? I think most people will think I go to Mahoutokoro, given my Japanese surname." Hana leaned back on her chair and looked at the girl.
"So, Korinna, you say. Tell me more about yourself. But if you don't want to, it's alright... Do I sound really weird asking you to tell me about yourself? I didn't freak you out, did I? Hopefully I don't, I wouldn't like to give someone a heart attack the first time I meet someone, it's not a good thing, right?" I must sound really weird, why is it so hard being an extrovert, but honestly, I'm too done to care about anything at this exact moment. I'll just eat one more bite of ice cream, pretending I'm totally fine. Right, a bite of ice cream.

@Hana Suzuki @Korinna NightshadeClaire wandered around Diagon Alley with her headphones on. It wasn't until her third year at Beauxbatons, but Diagon Alley was the best place to buy new items. She had gotten permission from her parents and headed to the ice cream parlor.
When Claire entered Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlor, the cool air felt cool on her face. Compared to the cold weather outside, it was nicer here, but it was also more crowded. She took a deep breath and got in line.
When it was the girl's turn, Claire stopped the music and ordered a Waffle Dish Sundae. Her mouth watered uncontrollably as she watched it being prepared.
When her ice cream was ready, she started looking for a place to sit, but the tables were already pretty full. Forgetting that he still had her headphones on, she walked over to the two girls. Both of them looked a little younger than Claire.
"Hello, can I sit next to you? Everywhere is full and the crowd makes me uncomfortable."
Her French accent was evident as she spoke. Her blonde hair was falling into her face, and she didn't stop it. She gently held her skirt and began to play with it as she waited for the answer. Claire hoped that both of her daughters would respond positively.

Not long after the first girl sat down, another person approached them. This time, it was a girl who looks a wee bit older than both Hana and Korinna. And it's the same question again, asking if she could sit with them, with the strong accent of her, Hana knew straight away that the new girl is French. A Beauxbaton student, I assume, maybe I can even have my French improved. "Sit." Hana gestured to the free chair next to her. "As I said, I'm Hana, Hana Suzuki, what's your name? And I assume you're French, right? Are you from Beauxbaton?" Looking at the girl's blue eyes for a second, she continued. " So, why are you here in London? Just for fun? I think you came to the right place, Diagon Alley is certainly quite an exotic place"Date: 15 July 2025

It hasn't even been 5 minutes when two girls, who Hana doesn't even know, came and asked to sit with her. Well, Hana of course loved the attention from others but she's also curious why they decided to come to her instead of the many other tables in the ice cream parlour. Whatever, I guess I'm popular, after all. But I really need to go around Diagon alley after eating this cup of ice cream, I still need to go around and buy some stuff that I like. I didn't even come here since last year.

Korinna startled at the arrival of another but smiled at the older girl who had just approached the table."Hey! Y-you're more than welcome to-" they paused, glancing at Hana. Thankfully she responded the same way. After all, it wasn't like she'd been sitting there all along. Was it her place to decide? "Nice to meet you! I'm Korinna." she hastily finished.
Turning towards the two, the girl listened attentively as Hana began to ask about Beauxbatons... that seemed a little.. forward.. but honestly Claire sort of looked like someone who would go to Beauxbatons? It probably wasn't a good thing to assume ethnicity or hometown by looks or name, even though.... But ah, Hana had just been saying something about Mahoutokoro earlier? Even if it sounded heavily sarcastic? Dunno, a lot of people were heavily sarcastic.
Lost in thought, they waited for a pause in the conversation and quietly asked;"So uh. Where do you both go to school? Hana you mentioned Mahoutokoro earlier? Were you being serious about that or a-" they flushed and curled back into their chair, eating their icecream to distract from the ongoing conversation.

"I'm just joking when I said I'm from Mahoutokoro. It's just that my grandfather, grandmother and all of my ancestors went to Mahoutokoro. But my father was born in the UK so he went to Hogwarts, so as me and my brother. So yea, I'm from Hogwarts. I'm a Gryffindor, by the way, second year in this September. Not going to lie, but I'm actually quite excited for that." First year wasn't a typically good year for Hana, she just went to classes, met some friends. But nothing really special happen except for the part where she roasted marshmallow inside the common room or joining in the rule-breaking club. From the moment she stepped out of Hogwarts and into the express, she prayed that the next year will be a more chaotic one. And hopefully, it will happen.Date: 15 July 2025

Snapping back to the two girls in front of them, Hana notice the slight shock face of Korinna when she asked the other girl if she's French. Am I too straight forward? Did they think I'm rude assuming someone's ethnicity? But that girl really give off the artistic Frenchy vibe. Hana knew maybe people might think she's rude but that's just her - asking straightforward stuff even sometimes it seems dumb or not sugar-coating her words, she hates those.
Anyways, Hana focused back on eating her butterbeer and raspberry flavoured ice cream, still waiting for the French-looking girl to reply. I better eat this ice cream now or else it's going to melt in this scorching temperature

When Claire heard both girls agree, she smiled slightly and sat down in the empty chair. She placed her waffle ice cream on the table and began eating it, trying to catch up with the other girls' conversation.
When she realized that she was too lost in thought and hadn't answered the girls' questions, she looked up from her ice cream and started talking.
"Sorry. I got lost. My name is Claire White and yes, I go to Beauxbatons. I've heard a lot about Hogwarts. Do you really live in different houses?"
She asked, her curiosity getting the better of her. She had no idea what Mahoutokoro school was about or what the two girls were talking about.
"What were you talking about before I came? What is it about Mahoutokoro school?"
She continued eating his ice cream. She didn't want it to melt because she was so caught up in her conversation.
"Do you like listening to or playing music? What kind of music do you like?"
She was a little more relaxed talking and not as shy about what to think or she was thinking less and she was relaxed. She waited curiously for the two girls' answers.

"It's alright, no need to apologise. Hana looked at the girl as she sat down on the empty chair across Hana herself. "Hogwarts, you say? We have four different houses - Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff. I am a Gryffindor and Korinna here is a Ravenclaw. What do you mean by living in different houses? Like, we don't have a house house, but we do have our own common room and we sleep in our respective dormitory." After a moment, Hana continued. "So Claire, you do go to Beauxbatons, what is school like in France there? Do they provide those fancy French food to the students? Care to tell me more about it?"Date: 15 July 2025

Almost finishing half her ice cream, Claire asked Hana about what she was talking before. Hana replied, "Uh. The Mahoutokoro thing? I was just joking because a lot of people here thought I was from Mahoutokoro of my Japanese looking face and heritage. Well, I don't blame that for that because if I were someone else, I will probably asked if I'm from Mahoutokoro. But just to clarify, I'm born here." No matter what, I'm still gonna think I'm a Brit through and through, I mean, I prefer fish and chips to sushi. "Music? I play the piano, don't really like it. And to surprise you all, I actually play the bagpipes too, it's fun, but it's not when it's my brother who's teaching me. So, what instrument do you play?

She laughed lightly at the mention of fancy food, but let her thoughts trail off. She was really only half-listening. It was so nice to be in the company of the two girls, and...
"Oh! I didn't mean to imply that.. only.. you brought it up.." the ravenclaw stammered. "I.. i'm chinese. Though I was also born here. I can relate to that."
She turned away, if only to distract from the awkward topic at hand, and was kind of grateful that Claire changed the subject. It wasn't that they were ashamed to talk about heritage but.. augh. What else were they supposed to say?
They perked up at the mention of music. "That's so cool!! I-I like listening to all sorts of music, of course. I've sort of been into muggle music lately even though my parents would totally dissapprove." that was definitely true. "B-because i'm a pureblood, and y'know. Muggle music is a no no." Her eyes twinkled with mischief.
"But I also play cello! I've been owling some people over the summer and i'm hoping to start an orchestra club at hogwarts next year..."
