As the train finally squealed to a stop, Adeline collected her things, and popped the last of her licorice wand into her mouth. The young girl then stood from her seat on the train, and began the walk down the aisle to her second year at Hogwarts.
The nerves had returned full force, causing her hands to tremble ever so slightly at her sides. The girl pulled at the hem of her skirt in an attempt to straighten it, and herself out in the process. She peered over the heads of her classmates, eyes scanning the aisle for the exit. It had been a while since she had been around such a large group of people. It was unfamiliar. Stifling.
Just as Adeline was preparing to step out of the train, something, or rather someone, caught her eye. Curled up, peacefully asleep in a cabin, was a beautiful blonde haired girl. Addie stepped into the cabin carefully, lingering a moment to decide what she should do.
She looked young- younger than Adeline. Most likely a first year. It was undeniable that the girl was quite pretty, even asleep. If only Adeline could only look so angelic. She took a step closer to her, before carefully reaching out to tap her on the knee.
“Excuse me, but….” She trailed off, cautious not to scare her upon waking. “.. you should get your things, and come with me. “ She smiled gingerly at the girl.“We made it to the station. “

Teresa opened her eyes to see a young girl infront of her. 'Was it time to leave the train already?' "Oh hi...Is it time? I am so sorry! I fell asleep and oh the wonderous dreams I had of Hogwarts! What's your name?" I say as I sit up straight and rub my eyes and start packing up my diary that I fell asleep and drooled on. I began tucking it into my bag alongside quills and half-eaten chocolate frogs.
"I was dreaming of making new friends! Even finding secrets in Hogwarts! That would be fun right?" I look at my face in my vanity mirror. I start laughing at my crazy hair mess. My curls tangled and making shapes all across. I get my hairbrush and quickly began brushing it. One of the chocolate frog jumps back up to life and begans hopping around. I frantically go behind it with my brush still stuck in my hair.
I finally wrestle the frog down. Huffing I get up and shove it back into the bag. I began brushing my hair until the tangles were gone and hastily put on my reading glasses. "Today is just crazy- I wonder which house I will be in! My father was in Hufflepuff but I don't know much on him." I grab my trunk and wand. I stand up ready to face this new chapter.

The girl awoke with a start, her sleepy blue eyes meeting Adeline's. "Oh hi...Is it time? I am so sorry! I fell asleep and oh the wondrous dreams I had of Hogwarts! What's your name?" The girl asked as she collected her items, and stuffed them into her bag.──────────────────

"My name is Adeline, but you can just call me Addie, if you like." she smiled softly. It was hard not to be reminded of herself as a first year.
The blonde girl seemed tied up with the current task at hand.
"I was dreaming of making new friends! Even finding secrets in Hogwarts! That would be fun right?" She says, taming down her wild curls in her vanity mirror. As a chocolate frog springs to life from her bag, Addie can't help but chuckle a bit. The girl was a bit eccentric- just like her.
She remarked one final time, before standing, and preparing to exit the bus. "Today is just crazy- I wonder which house I will be in! My father was in Hufflepuff but I don't know much on him." The girl seemed eager- excited. It was official- Adeline liked her.
"My mom was in Huffle." Adeline began. "Dad was a Gryffindor- I never understood it personally.." She trailed off, realizing that speaking of her dad might be insensitive considering the girl could not relate.
"I'm Ravenclaw, myself." Adeline spoke, changing the topic away from her parents, eyes glued to the castle looming in the distance. "I think it's the coolest house." She grinned, flicking loose hair over her shoulder.
She turned back to the girl as the stepped into the aisle. "What's your name?" Addie asked, gesturing for her to step in front of her and into the hallway.

I smile at her and reach out a hand.'She seems so nice! I hope we can be acquaintances! Better yet friends!' "Teresa Norton at your service!" The train blew its warning whistle. A sharp note that sent teresa plugging her ears to make sure it does not burst them. The whistling stops after about 3 minutes of it and by then Teresa knew it was the whistle to make sure kids get of the train as they were at hogwarts! "We will be late if we don't get off now! But hey! since your mom was a huffle maybe she met my dad!"
"Oh wow....Look at everything! Its so amazing! Its better than the books! or paintings!" A sudden rush of cold wind blow my neat hair that i spent brushing into complete mess. One side of my hair began flying in all direction while the other stayed perfectly still. I start laughing at the absurd hairstyle the wind just made and get my brush to start brushing it out"Welll..I believe this is where we stop...any advice for me?"
I brush my hair until it was in the original position again. I tuck the brush into my bag and pull out my reading glasses. I push it onto my nose so that it sits still and finally let out a sigh. Hoping no one would notice you get a piece of candy and slip it onto my mouth. I did this whenever I was scared. The sweetness melted away my fears just like it melted away the sugar inside. "I want to be in Ravenclaw Adeline... So That I might be with you! you seem so very nice..." I stand there waiting for Adeline and further instructions to Hogwarts.

The energetic blonde was called Teresa. A lovely name. She was enamored with the sights and sounds of the station, and as calm and collected as Adeline tried to keep herself, she was downright giddy too.
Teresa continued to wrestle her sandy curls in the wind, turning back to Addie. "Welll..I believe this is where we stop...any advice for me?" Adeline ponders for a moment before her thoughts are interrupted by the first year's soft voice "I want to be in Ravenclaw Adeline... So That I might be with you! you seem so very nice..."
It was wonderful to know that the girl liked Adeline as much as Adeline liked her. "That would be the best, huh? I really think you would like it in the tower." She lowered her voice ever so slightly to a more serious tone. "Honestly though? Be yourself... and don't be afraid to ask questions!" She paused for a moment. "Take it all in, you will only experience this year once."
As Adeline watched the girl's long blonde curls twist in the wind, a thought struck her, causing a toothy smile to spread across her face. With no hesitation, Addie slipped her lengthy blue ribbon from her braid and offered it to the first year. She ignored the fact that her own hair was now tangling in the wind. "Take this." She leaned in closer "It will be your good luck charm."

I smile warmly at her and reach out a hand, My hands shakes slightly due to the nerves that I faced all day.'Wow, Really I cant believe it...' "Thank you so much!" The train lets out its final warning whistle. A very sharp sound that makes me even more on edge as I have to get out quickly to get to the ceremony. "Oh thank you Adeline...You are the best I-I really don't know what to say-"
"Oh wow....Look at everything! Its so amazing! Its better than the books! or paintings!" I tie the ribbon like into the left side of my curls. Then I slowly start walking towards the area where all first years stood. I stop and look back at Adeline. She can't believe how kind someone could be even when they just met and are this cool."Thank you ...I hope I can be as good as you!" I wave my final good byes to my hopefully new friend.
I feel suddenly unwell. I shift from one side to another just waiting to know if I would be put in the correct house or not. It was a scary decision. "Thank you Adeline...I'll see you in the Great Hall!" I turn to go towards the boats.
