· · ─────── · 𖢨 · ─────── · ·Watching the two younger students bickering was more entertaining than Koko had expected. Honestly, such entertainment might very well have been the best part of this interaction—although, depending on what the girl offered her, Koko would have to wait and see.
No, no, the ease of information was even better. A first year, suggesting they had better access to information than the seventh-year secretary of the Hogwarts Headliner? Oh, that was hilarious.
But she didn't laugh. Instead, she smiled, nodded, folded her hands in front of her and tapped her foot until—centres around you.
'Hm?' Koko raised an eyebrow. Surely, people had their things to say—you didn't get a reputation without people talking, after all. However, she was curious if what this first year was referring to was something she hadn't heard floating around the halls. People talked, and it got around, but if something new was being said, positive or negative or a complete falsehood... it never hurt to know.
Of course, thirty galleons was a far better bargain. 'Information and the money, sure.' It never hurt to have a few more ears around the castle, even if the Headliner saw and heard all. However, her coolness faltered just momentarily when the girl drew nearer to her and whispered. How... interesting. 'Similar infatuation as to whom?'
Bargaining was proving to be plenty of fun. She would have to do this more often in the future. Perhaps if Quidditch didn't work out... but it would. Alas... this would be fun to continue.
The boy continued being a bit, well, naïve, for lack of a better word. She didn't even bother to correct his misuse of her name, instead correcting his assumptions. 'Honestly, it's just nice to have potions on hand. You never know when people will want them, or when you'll have to use them.' She shrugged. 'Business? Not necessarily. Although I'll sell if someone's buying.'
This kid had ideas. Koko would give him that. She bit back a laugh and instead smirked. 'What, are you offering?' She was joking—joking, of course! She didn't have any use for a potions guinea pig; everything was by-the-book, and if it didn't work, then it was a fault of hers and not the recipe. She was hardly keen to create her own recipes. But if he really was that eager... maybe someone who cared more about his well-being needed to keep an eye on him.
She glanced back to the girl, the self-pleased smile still on her lips. 'Thirty galleons and whatever rumours you happen to catch wind of. I can send you the potion tonight; check the owlery before bed.' She wouldn't ask what they were planning to do with amortentia—quite frankly, she hardly cared—but she expected to at least hear of the results of whatever they were doing. Should some unsuspecting student become a target, well, that would just make a lovely headline, wouldn't it?· · ─────── · 𖢨 · ─────── · ·

In truth, Meiyu had deduced that should Koko be like-minded and eager to hear any tales about herself, she'd take the bait with her prior comment. It came to no surprise that the raised eyebrow of the beautiful girl had confirmed her pique in the matter, even if she had barely heard much given the few times Koko had come up in conversations in her dormitory, or whether she had truly eavesdropped whilst passing the corridors or loitering in the courtyard as part of her daily routine. Yet, she refused to falter until her end of the deal would be met. "Upon exchange, I will send promptly send an owl containing the details along with the galleons, should you agree to it." She confirmed, nodding lightly as though the deal had already sealed by this point.
She would need time to prepare and gather the information, which meant another investigation would need to be launched, better known as eavesdropping the conversations shared in their dormitory. Additionally, Meiyu typically did not carry money around with her, given there was no need to do so. Instead, she stored her saved allowance neatly in her trunk in a hidden compartment, despite the agreed sum hardly making a dent in the savings she had accumulated thus far.
Aodhan had a habit for not knowing how to keep quiet, evidently, given his loud pig-like snort that only forced Meiyu to wince with the misfortune of being in his presence and hearing such a grotesque noise. His barbaric presumption that she would ever succumb herself to the terrors that was a Gryffindor Quidditch match had been insulting to her, scowling immediately at the mere assumption. "Eye-catching on the bench? Are you hearing how idiotic you sound?" She scoffed, truly preplexed at how he came to such conclusions. "Is that why you think we've never won matches either, because you're so eye-catching that the focus is on you rather than the game? Perhaps it makes sense, your odd demeanour is enough to be considered foul play from the lions." Meiyu added in spite, though, half-lying given she oddly enjoyed his presence, even if he was irritating at most times.
He was a pawn in her own game.
That was, until he began to spew utter nonsense, once more jumping through impossible hoops to deduce the most idiotic and neanderthal conclusion — a love potion business. What an utterly useless man-child.
Stood almost as though in a trance, unable to comprehend the utter stupidity spewing from Aodhan, Meiyu's gaze moved to the beauty who had graced their presence, entering the opportunity of a lifetime, even if it meant she had to barter as though her life depended on it. For, she was beyond adamant to attain the potion, to misconstrued a singular thing. As their eyes locked once more, with confirmation that she had successfully bartered for the potion of her devious scheme, Meiyu's eyes twinkled with a gleam of anticipation for the plans she wished to quickly unfold. Promptly nodding at the instructions provided, she bit back with, "At nine thirty tonight, a black envelope with red wax sealing will left for you in the owlery."
Swiftly inching closer to Aodhan, she grabbed him by his sleeve, pulling him closer to her. "Come Aodhan, you, I mean, we have much to prepare." Meiyu whispered quietly enough for him to hear before turning on her heel and striding down the corridors, pulling the boy with her with as much force as she could do so. Phase two would soon begin and there would be little time to prepare, for now, she needed Aodhan's mind and knowledge of upperclassmen to pick the perfect subject and portray them as the perfect victim in the plot she had demised.
NOTE: Meiyu leaves the thread, dragging Aodhan with her.
TDLR: No need to respond to this as it is now concluded, bisous and thank you both!
