Short Synopsis:ReducioThe first book starts in Cairo in late 18th century. We follow a young thief and orphan called Nahri, whose life is turned upside down when she accidentally summons a daeva who takes her to Daevabad, the city of her ancestors.
Nahri gets pulled into different conflicts in Daevabad, makes a bunch of new friends and enemies and gets to know herself, her ancestors and the influence her name and power give her.
Personal Opinion: Currently reading the third book and it's one of my new favorites. I adore the world and the characters, every book has me on the edge of my seat.
Rated somewhere between adult and YA, there's no spice, but sometimes graphic description of injury, surgery and death.

ReducioPersonal Opinion : Not easy to read, it's a really big novel, divided in two books. I watched the film before reading it, and it helped me understand some parts. Even if it took me quite long to finish it, I really enjoyed the reading. (And the ending made me cry, so it's obviously a good story lol)Edmond Dantès, a young sailor, is wrongly accused of being a Bonaparte supporter by jalous people, during his wedding day . He'll spend 14 years in prison, where he manages to meet Fariah, who will teach him lots of sciences, history and all, and moreover, making Edmon the heir of his tresure, hidden in Monte-Cristo isle.
When he finds a way to escape the prison (no spoil here eheh), he locates and takes possession of the hidden treasure a few months later, and then later purchases the island of Monte Cristo and the title of count from the Tuscan government. Having become wealthy and powerful, Dantès impersonates various figures. He sets out to guarantee happiness and freedom to the few who remain loyal to him and to methodically take revenge on those who falsely accused and imprisoned him.

Personal Opinion: A great book but after reading you may keep thinking "Am I an elf?" But nevertheless it is a great book in my opinion.

Book name : Fall of Giants

Short synopsis :
It's during the first world war. Five different families who have different contacts from everyone. It's the sorties of different social classes, different personalities, loves stories, lots of emotions. There are two other books : WW2 and the cold war.
Personal Opinion : A large book (1000+ pages) but all worth it. I recommand it 100%, and cannot wait to read the other books.

Personal opinion: Honestly, I was very surprised about how good this book was(thank you op-shop!). I can’t wait to read the others.

Personal Opinion: Tbh I was never a fan of festive themed books until this one, it begins slightly boring but at almost the climax, it suddenly gets quite interesting, filled with fluff, comedy and characters with weird names. Love it!
