Lost, cleaning and the dark
3rd of september 2025
Madelynn was walking through the hallways. She was lost, again. She wondered how this had happened again. Maybe, because she had been cleaning the place and then lost track of where she was. She felt guilty for getting lost as she knew it was probably past curfew. She didn't want to bother the prefects like this. Neither the professors.
She was also afraid of the dark, but that did not stop her from trying to find her way back whilst still cleaning a little as she walked. She saw the trophy room and her eyes were big. She saw dust and she started cleaning. She couldn't help herself. She had been given the chance to go to such an amazing school as this, the least she could do was clean. And she would turn herself into the prefects tomorrow morning anyways. Since even if she would go back now she still would have been out past curfew. And that was not fair, neither honest.
She then saw a book lying on the floor. She wondered who's it was, she read the name and it said Sage Willows. Wasn't that one of the prefects? Maybe she was missing her book and needing it right now! Madelynn panicked slightly as she thought about that. Especially as her legs had frozen when she heard a sound and now she could not bring it back to her immediately.
She mustered up all her courage. "For Ms Willows!" She said and she started running, trying to find her.
(OOC: I got permission from Sage to godmod this small thing)

ooc notes-Through the hallowed halls of Hogwarts, winding up to the trophy room on the third floor, Sage walked to complete her patrols. There had been very few times when she actually caught someone for breaking curfew, maybe tonight would be another one of those nights. Maybe not.
Just the other day, Sage had lost one of her books. Three days into school, that had to be a bad look. Maybe she’d find it while out patrolling, that would be a miracle. With her luck, some troublemaker might have stolen the book, giving the prefect a hard time. She sighed and shook it off.
Just then, Sage heard a noise. What sounded like footsteps pattering against the floors, coming from no other than the destined trophy room. She made sure her prefect badge was shiny and displayed, hurrying towards the noise. Was that a voice she heard? Calling her name? Maybe the Hogwarts ghosts were up to something.
"Hey!" the third year called, squinting at a young blonde girl. “It’s past curfew, you should be in your common room."
She sighed and removed her prefect badge from her clothes. "Sage Willows, prefect. Go on and tell me your name, I need to know who I’m giving detention."
She stood with her arms crossed, waiting for the girl’s reply. Just then, her brown eyes took note of the book she was holding. Could it be her missing book? She’d wait for the rule breaker to speak up herself. You have been caught! I will be owling you the details of your detention and posting the thread here shortly.
