Misleading Love Letters
@Rafael D'Spacito & @Alex Tyler
It took every bit of Jack's nerve not to look away from the glare that the Gryffindor boy was fixing him with. With enough practice, one's voice became simple enough to manipulate, since one could hear oneself speak. Facial features and unconscious body language was more difficult to master due to the fact that one wasn't usually aware of what one looked like or did while interacting with others. He could only hope that either he wasn't unknowingly somehow giving himself away, or that Rafa was too occupied with his own problems to make sense of Jack's behavior.
He answered Rafael's rhetorical questions with a wry laugh, raising his palms in a defensive gesture. "Hey, I never said I was any sort of gentleman," he pointed out. "I'm just an observing bystander. But can you really call that solving your problems? Seems more to me like you're just letting your emotions get the best of you." Tapping his head with an index finger, he asked, "Did it ever occur to you that maybe not everyone knows that you're in a relationship, being all of 11 years old? And yet there you are, going so far as to assume she's even trying to mock you for it by confessing her feelings. Most people would simply be flattered and, if not interested, politely decline. Does this girl really deserve the wrath you've subjected her to just for being ignorant and brave enough to tell you she likes you?"
Yes, Jack thought, reminded irritably of Alex's irrational and contradictory behavior, Yes, she actually does. But it's not like you know that. Yet. He might have been starting to get an idea, though, if it was true what Rafa was saying about Alex's notebook having incantations. He needed to get either her or that notebook away from the hall and them as soon as possible lest the crazy girl managed to do something stupid.
The Slytherin boy swiftly sped-walk toward the notebook that had been thrown across the room, scooped it up off the ground, and pocketed it, determined not to return it to its owner until everyone else was safely out of range. It was all fun and games until someone started using magic. It was already detestable enough that Alex was using physical force on the guy. This was getting way out of hand.
"If everyone's just ready to go at it, I think it's time to leave. Alex, I'm turning this in to the Gryffindor Head of House. I can't believe you were actually gonna try to use magic on a fellow house member of yours."

Misleading Love Letters
@Jack Burnnet and @Rafael D'Spacito
I take the letter from Rafa's hands and examined it, I certainly didn't write this, I do not write sappy stuff like this. I suddenly realize I need to stop picking fights and try to find out what kind of jerk did this, but first I need to get my dads journal.
I stride across the room with every intention of getting my dads journal but Jack swiped it up. That's okay first I need to get to the end of this so I let him keep hold of it trusting that he is probably trying to make sure I don't do anything stupid.
Jack tells me we should go but I shake my head
"first I'm getting to the bottom of this and I was only planing to use it of this kid attacked me I was gonna use a protection incantation on us. And if you turn it into the head of house you better believe there will be hell to pay"
I say as I look down at the letter reading it over
I look up to Jack and then look back down to the letter in my hands. This isn't even my handwriting, not even close to it, this handwriting is neat and organized, mine is chicken scratch. The thing is I recognize the handwriting though so whoever sent this must've sent me a letter in the past, I pull out every letter I have in my bag and put them on the floor and lined them up seating myself on the floor in front of them.
I have a letter from Jack, one from Alan, one from Artemis and finally one from Erika.
As I attempted to pair up the handwriting and thought about what to do with the writer of the letter, then I noticed that the handwriting matched Jacks.
Damn him. Fresh anger and apprehension raged trough me and I clenched my jaw.
"Jack you ass hole"
I get up and stride over to him with sure steps, once I'm in front of him I push him
"what kind of jerk messes with people like this"
I'm enraged with Jack and with a bitter expression on my face I punch him in the nose.
I thought I could trust Jack, why do I have to be so foolish. I stand there my hands balled into fists and I start to realize that despite my anger I'm actually hurt by this the fact that he would be cold enough to make me look weak, he did this to hurt me I know it. So I'm going to fight him, that way I can hide the hurt under anger.
I run at Jack screaming trying to keep the ears out of my eyes.

Misleading Love Letters
The chills of the winter’s evening was almost unbearable given that Aurelia hadn’t worn enough layers for the day. The temperatures were more bearable in the Great Hall as she drained a steaming bowl of stew but nothing beat the warmth of the Gryffindor common room and was where she planned to head to next.
If it weren’t for the loud commotion that demanded her attention as she made her way across the small hall, she would have been on her way up the stairwell. But that wasn’t the case as what she witness was the abhorrent act of a girl throwing a punch right into a taller boy’s torso. The scene that unfolded in front of her was bizarre but not unfamiliar to the ex-prefect. If Aurelia were still a prefect, she would have intervened by now but she wasn’t and there was no need for her to unless things escalated further. For now, she watched inconspicuously at the sidelines.
Unfortunately for her, it seemed to have with the appearance of another boy. With Aurelia was in the middle of figuring out what the situation was about, the girl screamed, “Jack you ass hole,” right before charging at the boy. With much reluctance, the ex-prefect finally stepped in. However, she wouldn’t put herself in the way of danger, instead she spun her wand and pronounced the incantation of the softening spell clearly, “Spongify,” she’d aim the girl’s fist. Of course, it wouldn’t stop her from throwing the punch but at least it would reduce its impact.
“This is no way to settle and argument. Gryffindor does not have to lose unnecessary points because of your recklessness and inability to control your impulses, girl.” Aurelia said collectively, glaring down at the younger Gryffindor. Although she knew that the girl was not the only one at fault, she was the only one breaking the rules by initiating physically.

"UUUUUGGGGHHHH'
now I have another Gryffindor intervineing, I hate Jack.
"That Jerk had my dads journal, I need it back its the only thing I have of his"
I didn't tell her about the letter but all that matters right now is that I get the notebook back. It has all the maps to the secret passages and the incantations he learned. I need that journal, Its the only thing I have of his, the only thing he ever gave me that origonally belonged to him.
"Jack I'm warning you I need that journal, it was dads"
I'm silently begging Jack to just give it to me, I don't want to hurt him despite him hurting me and taking the only thing dad gave me.
"Jack I don't want to hurt you or anyone else here, please just hand over the journal...please"
I'm actually crying now, between Jack betraying my trust and him taking my dads journal Iv'e actually started to cry.
My chest is tight and I'm shaking from the sobs.
"please"
I'm sobbing harder now, I miss dad so much.
I let my myself slowly lower to the ground
"please Jack....Please"
I'd be suprised if anyone heard that last part I've gone so quiet. I cant loose the only thing dad gave me.
I'm not crazy I just see the world differently to the people who think I'm crazy

"If everyone's just ready to go at it, I think it's time to leave. Alex, I'm turning this in to the Gryffindor Head of House. I can't believe you were actually gonna try to use magic on a fellow house member of yours."
It miffed Rafa a bit, this boy coming in and acting like he knew exactly what was going on. True, he had a point – the girl had to have been insane, considering using magic on him. But it wasn’t like it wasn’t even any of his business, any of this – that was simply between him and Alex, and whoever the bloody hell had written that damned letter. What does it matter to him, anyways? Why is he even bloody here? His stomach churned, just thinking of the Slytherin. Here he was, trying to change the subject and walk away, when he had no place in their conversations. Who does he think he is? A prefect, or something?
“You shut up,” he told the other boy rather sharply, holding his index finger out warningly. He was really done with his annoying, small-minded sort of nature. “Before I get really angry." Perhaps he had a code against fighting or hurting women, but that said nothing about men. Or, boys in this case. He looked over the Slytherin with disdain, an annoyed look flashing across his face. Rather tired of entertaining the Slytherin with his attention, he decided to ignore the other boy for the time being, turning back to the Gryffindor girl with an inquiring sort of look.
He hadn’t even realized that Alex had taken the letter right from his hands – she was now pacing the floor, reading it carefully. “First, I'm getting to the bottom of this,” she told the Jack kid in a determined voice, which brought a spiteful grin to Rafa’s face. “And, I was only planning to use it if this kid attacked me,” she added, talking about her dad’s journal of course. “I was gonna use a protection incantation on us. And if you turn it into the Head of House, you’d better believe there will be hell to pay.”
Damn. This girl was pretty bloody crazy. Though, he had to admire it just a bit – a lot of his old friends had been the same way, kicking ass and taking names. And while he may have not agreed with her tactics, he recalled something his father had told him many years ago. You can always respect people for being themselves, he had said. Even if that meant they were complete and total assholes. They’re not hiding themselves – only being bold. Because of this spark of respect, he decided to ignore her last comment. Instead, he stated, “I don’t fight girls,” kind of dejectedly, rubbing his neck with a yawn. This whole situation was starting to tire him – he’d never liked mysteries.
He watches as the girl examined a few letters she had pulled from her backpack. There were four of them – he couldn’t exactly tell from where they originated, though, from the distance he stood at. What he did notice, though, was the shadow that had fallen over Alex’s face. Her jaw was clenched tightly, fresh anger on her pretty features. Somehow, Rafa knew something terrible was about to happen. But he wasn’t at all prepared for what she was going to say next. "Jack, you asshole," she growled in a low, dangerous voice. In one of her hands she clutched a letter, a very familiar signature neatly written on the bottom. Jack Burnett.
What the actual fuck? He looked over at the other boy, his face contorted in complete confusion – it didn’t make any sense at all. What possible reason would he have to commit such an act? It did explain a few things, though – why the boy was here, butting into conversations he should have no part in. At first, Rafa had taken it as a sign of arrogance, but now, as the moments passed, his perspective slowly began to change. He didn’t know how to react – his mouth was agape just slightly, his eyes full of question. “…what?” he mumbled a bit dumbly, too frozen in shock to do much else.
In the midst of his shock, he had nearly missed Alex’s attack - Alex had run at Jack, her fists clenched tightly into balls. She looked like she was out for blood, and at the momentum she was moving, she was going to get it. Rafa’s shock quickly wore off in that moment, and in a split second of reflex, he whipped out his wand skillfully, holding it in front of him to protect Jack. To his dismay, no spells came to mind. Thankfully, he didn’t need one – another voice rang through the room, tearing through the chaos like a knife. “Spongify,” Aurelia Nostrésvace called out in a sturdy voice, her wand held steadily in front of her.
Rafa’s insides filled with a thankful sort of feeling, looking upon the third-year. She used to be a prefect right? he reasoned. Surely, she would be able to sort this mess out. “This is no way to settle and argument,” she told Alex sternly. “Gryffindor does not have to lose unnecessary points because of your recklessness and inability to control your impulses, girl.”
Rafa realized that, with those firm words, he had felt a spark of reluctance. If Aurelia was here, she was sure to get to the bottom of their little problem. But the idea of upsetting her brought him a funny feeling – he almost felt as if he had something to prove to her. Why he felt this way, he couldn’t be sure. He just knew he didn’t like it – not one bit. “What are you doing here, Aurelia?” he asked in a strange sort of way, almost defensively. His eyes held confusion, his lips pulled into a tight frown.
Things had only gone downhill from the moment the whole incident had started – first with the yelling, then with the fighting. And, while he may have had a part in starting the whole skirmish, he certainly couldn’t be responsible for the throwing of fists. This situation was only turning for the worst, he realized. He was almost sure of it. He couldn’t really explain how he knew – call it the dread pooling in his stomach. Whatever it was, it kept his shoulders tight, and his wand held firmly in his hand.
His thoughts came true in a moment more. Alex had put her hands out in front of her, muttering something in a language he couldn’t recognize. It was the strangest thing, almost like Latin or something. But before he had a moment of time to deduct what exactly was going on, the girl was cast against the wall behind her forcefully, for reasons that couldn’t have been natural.
“Mierda!” he exclaimed out of reflex, quickly running towards the wall she had crashed into. He really hated his conscience sometimes, always turning off and on in the worst of moments. “Are you okay?” he muttered a bit rhetorically, helping her up. In the case that she had damaged her insides, it would probably be a good idea to get upright. He looked over her quickly, checking to make sure no limbs were pointing the wrong way, and no blood marked her body. As far as he could tell, she was fine – from the outside, at least.
Under the assumption that she was okay, his concern turned to anger. “What were you bloody thinking?” he told her sternly. “What if you had actually used that to Jack?” The mere thought of such ill use of a spell horrified him – he bit his lip in an angry way to prevent any more stray words, what with Aurelia in the room, and the situation as dire as it was. It wasn’t the time to explode. If he were wise, he would control his emotions and let the pros handle the issue.

I probably haven't collected my allowance yet.
