Extrovert. Honest. Reliable. Creative.
These are some words that describe a very happy and golden retriever-like personality. When you hear a golden retriever-like personality you think of a very energetic, very jumpy person. But this doesn’t describe her at all. She’s not afraid to speak her mind, and she’s most definitely not a nervous sort of person. She has an enormous social circle and is always eager to expand it! Always an extrovert, she tries her best to be a hardworking, practical, and organized witch. She’s ambitious. But these are only her good traits. After all, one cannot have light without having a few shadows too. She’s competitive, which technically isn't a bad thing, but sometimes makes her a bit difficult to deal with. Reckless to a fault, though occasionally that comes in handy. She’s insecure, sensitive, and a perfectionist. Sometimes, she’s also very stubborn. She can be occasionally envious, and stagnant when she doesn’t want to do something. But all these things make her human. And most of them are faults we all have. All in all, she’s a happy, bright, occasionally stubborn, competitive witch.

The wanting was almost too much. She wanted to learn everything, read everything. But it was difficult not to get frustrated when she couldn’t understand it all. She felt like the world was practically conspiring against her by making it so hard to learn. She wanted to be able to read in dozens of languages, to know by memory books like 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, and The Mysterious Island by Jules Verne. But sadly, it wasn’t that easy. Learning a new language was difficult, let alone trying to learn dozens. And the frustration was palpable. She just wanted to know it all at once, in a rush. To be able to learn everything and just get it. Just know it and know that it made sense. That it made sense to her. But, it couldn’t be that way. Sometimes, she just wanted to scream out loud at how aggravated she was because of it. The yearning to learn everything, but the inability to do so disheartened her. It hacked her off, made her feel miffed and vexed. Or irked. So many words for a feeling of discontent. But she wouldn’t be discouraged no matter what. She would try. Because, after all, if you never fall, how will you learn to fly?

Avis takes root in many languages and cultures. One of the most common interpretations comes from Latin, in which it means “bird.” In the old Roman culture, birds were seen as symbols of good fortune or messengers if you will. They were linked to good omens and positive things. It can also be traced to the old Germanic name Avisia or the Roman name Avitius. In medieval England, the name was popular due to the influence of Latin-derived names after the Norman Conquest. But there are more. It could have also been a variant of the Dutch name Aafjes. In Portuguese and Spanish, the name Avis refers to a town in Portugal called Avis. Some say it’s the old French avis, which is less commonly known, which comes from the Latin visus. Meaning “sight.”



Maeve comes from the Irish name Méabh, which before spelt Meadhbh or Maedhbh. It means “intoxicating” or “mead-woman.” It could have been related to the important role of mead in ancient Irish ceremonies and the goddess Medb’s association. Maeve is also very strongly linked to Queen Medb of Connacht, who was a prominent figure in Irish mythology known for her strength, beauty, and a strategic mind. While this name is traditionally Irish, it’s often used in other English-speaking countries for its unique sound.




Greymond is a combination of Old English and Old Germanic roots. Grey seems to refer to the color grey, while “mond” is less common, it could be related to “mund” which means “hand” or “protection” in Old German. So it ultimately means “grey protection” or “grey hand.” The word “mond” could also mean mountain. So “grey mountain” would also fit the description. A unique name with an unusual meaning.

Ellie holds herself high, her back straight, not hunched. Her hair is of a light, milk-chocolate brown, with natural streaks of blond all over her head. She dyes the tips purple, which gives her a unique hair-style. She has blue eyes, bluer than the sky, the sea, and all the bluebells in the world combined. She has bright, long, curly lashes and freckles all over, dotting her nose and smooth, porcelain-like skin. She often likes to wear her hair in braids and loves to wear, bright, summery colors. She’s not too tall yet not too short, just right.
