With a mother who gave lectures on topics such as ecology and biodiversity at their local university, Mila had quite extensive knowledge on ecosystems, and she fully supported the efforts put into recovering the ecosystem of Hogwarts. Since her mother was a Muggle, the young girl was not as familiar with magical plants. Her dad had taught her some basics when she had been interested in learning more, however, it was nothing compared to the knowledge Professor Toussaint had. Besides trusting the professor's knowledge, Mila also just really liked the lecturer, so she was more than happy to help out with the errand.

This, together with her love for nature, led to the girl carrying as many potted seedlings and seed packets as she was allowed to take over the grounds. She had waited till the weekend to make sure she had as much time as possible to plant the seed and seedlings. Today was the first time she was participating in the errand. However, if it were up to her, it would not be the last time. When receiving the seed packets and potted seedlings from Sarai, Mila had begged to get as many things as she was allowed to. If the professor had asked her, the child would have planted all the several hundred different wildflowers, ferns, sedges, and mosses by herself.

Maybe next time she will get more and be able to plant some things near the Great Lake or at the campgrounds! Getting lost in thought, she considered all the amazing options where she could plant things next time and forgot to focus on her current task. Only when she almost tripped over a little twig on the grass did her attention return to the current moment. After looking around for a minute, the young girl settled for a nice place near the east side of the ground to plant some of her seedlings. After placing all her things on the grass, she sat down herself. With no plan, not even a concept of a plan, Mila started digging. Plans were overrated anyway. She just needed to make a hole and place a seedling in it, how hard could it be!?

After digging a hole about the size of her fist, the young seer suddenly stopped digging as she remembered her old friend Muddy. Muddy was a small worm she had befriended a few months ago, just before meeting Raizel. After having a small (one-sided) conversation with the small creature, Mila put them back onto the grass, not too far from where she was currently digging. If she wasn't careful, she could maybe ruin the house of Muddy or his family! Even worse, she could maybe hit a poor worm with the small shuffle. That idea greatly upset the student, and she quickly looked into the hole to see if there was anyone in there. After a few seconds, Mila spotted the top of a worm peeking out of the earth. Carefully, she reached into the hole with her hand. Making sure not to apply too much pressure, she picked up the worm and placed it in her other hand.

"Sorry, little one," she said softly. "I did not mean to ruin your home!" The worm was quite small. Probably younger than Muddy had been when she talked to them. Maybe it was the baby of Muddy! Wouldn't that be cool? The age of Muddy was unknown to Mila, but she hoped they were still alive and thriving. Worms sometimes reached an age of 7, so the change was quite big. "Say hi to Muddy if you see them!" she told the little worm before placing him back on the grass a few steps away from where she had been digging. After making sure there were no other worms, the young girl continued digging her hole and placed the first seedling in it.

Oonagh had heard about an errand hosted by the school's herbology teacher. As she had found herself to be rather free and missing her life back at home, she found herself able to entertain the idea of doing the work in exchange for a hit of familiarity. The veggie garden patch in their backyard was her mother's priced possession that she cherished and often employed Oonagh's help for in exchange for some loose change that Oonagh could then spend on some popsicles at the corner store near her school. Whereas her father was more invested in the little planter boxes with kitchen herbs across the patio railing. Figured, as he made the world's best salads.

Be that as it was, the little whirlwind was excited to get started with a task more than familiar to her. She took as many starter pots with little seedlings as she could carry in her arms, which were, with some difficulty, nine to be exact without stacking and squishing the seedlings too much, and made her way to a spot that was further off the grounds and less occupied by students.

It was however then that she realized that while she had been able to carry all the starter pots just fine, there was no way she could set them all down without them all tumbling out of her arms when she had to inevitably crouch down to place them on the ground so she could begin to dig little holes. Thus began the process of trial and error of wanting to do this by herself. She tried slowly lowering herself to the ground in multiple kinds of way or even trying to bend forward a bit to just lower the pots to the ground. But no matter the way she moved or tried to achieve this task that proved to be far more difficult than she anticipated, the little pots and seedlings were either slipping, or at risk of being squished or falling out of her arm entirely and part of her assumed she would be standing there all day until she spotted a girl that had some vague familiarity, as if she had seen her before, which as it was a school she probably had.

"You there! Dark, curly hair, talking to the bugs, take some of these pots off me so i can sit down," she called out, by now a bit annoyed at requiring assistance. Her mom and dad always scolded her on carrying too much at once and that it would cause troubles at one point, but she liked to just ignore that advice and would continue to ignore it even after this day. The benefits of being done faster ... usually, far outweigh the con of having to walk twice or thrice.

Feeling like a proud mother, Mila stared at the first seedling she had planted. After making sure it had been tucked in well, the young girl nodded happily. Hopefully, her hard work would contribute to the improvement of Hogwarts' ecosystem. After debating between two names, the little seedling was named Sally. It was important to give the plant a name so it could grow confidently into its own person, or well, plant. Realising all the other seedlings needed names, Mila started to prepare a list in her mind as she started digging the next hole.

Being so consumed by digging the next hole and thinking of the names of her future children, the first year did not notice the other student struggling to set down all the pots of seedlings by herself. Only when the girl suddenly called out did Mila's mind jump back to reality. It was easy for the young girl to get lost in her own world. "You there," the voice had spoken. Surprised by the words, she looked up quickly, her curls bouncing around her as she turned around to face whoever had spoken the words. "Dark, curly hair." Was the other student talking to her? "Talking to the bugs." Yes, definitely talking to her. Had she done something wrong? That seemed unlikely to the young girl. She had taken the utmost care to make sure the plants were treated with all the respect they deserved. Maybe she wasn't allowed to dig here? Even if she wasn't, the other girl seemed to be about her age and hold little to no authority, so that couldn't be it.

Due to her own racing thoughts, she had almost missed what the other student had asked of her. "Oh," Mila replied, quickly wiping the dirt from her hands on her pants. "Of course," she scrambled up and hurried towards the other girl. It hadn't occurred to Mila how rude and disrespectful the other student had been in her request, so she happily helped the other. "Let me take these from you," she said while trying to take some of the seedlings from the other's pile. Very carefully, she would place the ones she got from the other's full hand on the ground near them, just far enough that they wouldn't accidentally step on them.
