Dropped a Book then made a Friend Open

It was a chilly afternoon throughout the corridors of Hogwarts. Most students were in the midst of making their way towards the Dormitory's or the Great Hall to relax and unwind as well as escape the cold as it sets in for the afternoon. For a Friday afternoon, most tend to forget about their studies for now but for one particular Ravenclaw, the work doesn't stop until Saturday hits. Alan straight after his class, immediately packed his equipment and made his way to the Library. The young lad had set himself up a small den in the corner of the room surrounded by a stack of books and bits of parchment with scribbled out notes.

As Alan muttered to himself reading bits and pieces from his potions book he was currently neck-deep in a slight cramp indicated the lad needed a break. Alan took a minute to stretch and gathered his thoughts for a moment, pushing off his seat to look for more reading material to compile for his homework. As Alan strode by the shelves he made note of how empty the Library was with a handful of students here and there it was virtually deserted that you could hear the sound of a quill dropping.

After searching through the potions section for what he needed. Alan returned with four books in a neat stack. The Top as he was returning slid off dropping onto his foot causing the small boy to gasp and say under his breath "Darn it!" Although a Hiss it was enough to catch the Librarians attention causing them to step out, holding a finger across their lips screeching "Shush! not too loud boy!" Alan gulped and nodded, the anxiety flowing through him as he stuttered "S-S-Sorry...w-won't h-h-h-happen a-again" offering a nervous smile he lowered the books onto the large table he made what one could describe as his fortress of books. Distracted from the Librarians dismissive callout Alan seemed to have forgotten to pick up the book that dropped to the floor, looking around frantically he didn't seem to realise it was behind him.
