Hearing Prat mention that he would be interested in having a sister seemed fitting for his demeanor. She had no doubt that if he was to have a younger sister, or youner brother, that he would be a protective older sibling. Though not in the way that would seem overprotective or outwardly even. If she had to guess, she figured he would be the kind of brother who protects his sibling by expecting the best of them and nothing less.
In that, older brother way that existed.
"I think you'll like being an older sibling. Its a responsibility, not just to your sibling but to yourself." She commented as they spun around the floor in silence for a while. He had mostly ceded control to her so she took the lead that he offered and brought them around the dance floor. When he had made the jibe about Toaster being fat, she was in far too good of a mood to argue with him and simply let out a laugh she hadn't realized she was holding in.
"He is rather chunky isn't he? I don't know what gets into him but I've never seen a greed like the one in his eyes when I bring out his food bowl." She continues to giggle as she remembers how it is to feed her cat. Toaster's eyes would widen to the size of dinner plates as she poured the preportioned cat food into his bowl and would gobble it up with the fury of a thousand dragons before crawling all over her legs and demanding more. Too often did she give into his whims and give him an extra treat or two and too often did she find him rooting around in his food bag. The greedy thing-
But Prat had asked about her other pets and she was reminded of her St. Bernard, Porter. He was really her father's dog but he was the kindest and most friendly dog that she had ever met. Massive too, but that seemed normal for her family. Tall people, with large pets.
"I have a dog too. His name is Porter. He's a working dog but he's very cuddly. He's big too but only because of his breed. Do you know what a St. Bernard looks like?" She asked. [rolor=#A94064]"If you don't I might have some photos in my dorm room. I could show you sometime.[/color]
Speaking of dorm rooms, she was beginning to grow very tired. All the excitement of earlier and the adventure throught the castle had worn her out. She slowly guided them off the floor and to an area where there wasn't as much movement so that she and Prat could decide exactly how and where they wanted to end their night. It had been very lovely but she knew he likely wanted to go talk to friends, and she needed to prepare for classes in the morning. Her homework was done, she just wanted to get a good nights rest before the start of the hustle and bustle of the week.
"I had a really good time tonight Prat. Thank you for coming with me to the ball and then keeping me company even when I was in my own little pity party. Were you going to stay any longer? I think everyone is still kind of celebrating the night." She asked as she finally let go of his shoulder and his hand. The warmth disappeared and she looked at him curiously.

Are you going to eat your feelings?

@Siobhan McCartyGreat Hall; Spring Ball
─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────Responsibility;
The word carried a weight that the young viper did not shy away from. It was something he had been raised to respect, and in his own way, he had come to crave it. Responsibility meant a chance for him to prove himself, to show he could handle what other might not successfully handle. He often leaned into it, sometimes even piling more onto his plate than he could shoulder. Not because it was easy, but because, to him it was a way to seek some amount of validation from those he respected or admired.
If he was going to be an older brother, it was soon going to be more than a title to him, he fully intended to take the role very seriously. The idea of him being protective and dependable, the kind of presence someone could look up to was a hard image to draw in his head.
There was however, pride in that thought, but also pressure, and he welcomed them both. But then again, he doubted he’d be raising the kid. His parents were perfectly capable of doing that and were far more present at home then they were during his childhood. He could swoop in for the "fun parts," maybe teach the child how to punch someone in the face and run away.
That train of thought was so consuming to the young boy that he nearly missed the part about the cat, until Sio's laughter pulled his head back into the present. Her laugh was soft, carried by the momentum of their current situation. He chucked, brain imagining vivid thoughts of Toaster as she painted him as a fat cat.
Toaster in all honesty was a fat cat; possibly a master is art of manipulation with how Sio did not see to ever put the chonky boy on a successful diet. He imagined Toaster lounging smugly in the corner of her room, soaking in the attention and probably all the food.
Her mention of Porter, the St. Bernard, made him instantly feel warmer, specially with thoughts about his half crup, Neoth. Cuddly, dependable, there was clear evidence of my people liked dogs so much. "Yes, I do know St. Bernard. I'm not from fucking Krypton, London has dogs." he said with ease. "One day I'm gonna open a dog and cat cafe. Massive massive place filled with dogs and then make people pay to spend time with them. But they'll leave happier than when they came in."
The music of the ball still echoed faintly behind the duo, laughter, chatter and other noises weaving through the background. The two had slowed down, movements now fainter as Sio guided them towards a quieter corner, her energy less explosive than the earlier rush of the night. When she finally let go of his shoulders, he caught the tired curve of her smile, and the words she gave him, acknowledging how she had a good time in his company.
He found himself giving her a nod and then realizing she probably can't see it, after which he switched tactics. "I had a good time too" he said. "Thank you dragging me around, and even with your pity party, I can't say I hated most of this." The entitled smirk returned, bit lighter than usual, slightly more of teasing nudge than a jab this instance. She asked if he'd stay longer, and for a moment he weighed the idea. The noise of the event pulled faintly at him for more, but his mind still ran through the night he'd spend and he wasn't sure if wanted to extend his hours away from his bed any longer. "Not sure yet," he half heartedly admitted with a shrug. "Might leave to my dorms now, or perhaps stick around if I find suitable company. But tonight was good, thank you."─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX641
