RPG STORYLINE: Lost & Found
Oliver takes it upon himself to explore the lesser traveled parts of the Hogwarts castle by taking the long way to his History of Magic class. However, his curiosity gets the best of him and he finds himself terribly, terribly lost. Oliver, always prim and proper, is too proud to ask for help and tries to find his way back to familiar territory himself, only getting more and more lost. Someone better find him, unless he'll face the History professor's wrath.

Donny was wandering the corridors as he usually did. He did feel a little bit more familiar with these halls now that he was in his second year, but there was no telling what you may find around a corner. He chewed his flavored bubblegum, as he strode along, not a worry on his mind. Not with his homework. Especially his homework. History Of Magic class was not his specialty. Why does it matter what happened two thousand years ago? And why should his free time be wasted writing foot upon foot of parchment about the goblin rebellion when he could be practicing for the Quidditch team?Β
As he strode, he couldn't help but notice the pictures on the walls whispering to each other through frames, going on about something. He brushed it off. Careless was his game today.Β
"Shouldn't you be in class?"Β
He heard one ask him. But he just soughed and went along, forgetting about all his academic worries. All until-
"Ouch-hey!" he said. He stumbled into a small first year who seemed to be lost in the corridors. Donny stood back and brushed himself off. He also seemed troubled, even if he was unwilling to show it. "Do you need- um, help?" he asked, rubbing his head under his wild curly hair. Donny thought this little mishap must've been what caused all the commotion between the paintings. They always bossed students around, even if they were stuck behind a canvas and paint. He looked at the small kid, who appeared to be a slytherin again, wondering what to do...Β

"..." Oh, damn. The worst possible outcome for this situation, for someone to have found him! Oliver had his back to the voice still, his narrow shoulders bunching up beneath the thin cloth of his robes. He turned around stiffly, his sneakers squeaking awkwardly as he shuffled around. Oliver squinted up at the other boy, taking note of his Hufflepuff garb with a slight smear of scrutiny. However, his ears still burned a deep crimson, the color spreading down to his cheeks. "I'm not planning on being truant, I swear," he assured, clutching his grip on his history book.
He couldn't gauge how old the other boy was, which only made him more nervous. Just how respectful should he be? He just ought to play it safe and hope that this boy wasn't the type to blab off to the teachers- which Oliver probably was going to be in the future. Ahem. Oliver took a step back, tilting his chin up to peer up at Donnovan. "Er..." He was hesitant to accept help, out of the pure stubbornness residing in his heart- a both good and bad trait. "I-..." Oliver only pinkened a little more. "Ionlyneedhelpfindingthehistoryroom!" He blurted out, all in one breath, eager to get the entire sentence out.

Donny looked down at the slytherin boy, who appeared to be very tense. He also seemed very reluctant to say anything, just until-
Donny smiled at bit at this...statement, if that's what you could call it. He remembered when he was in his first year. Everything was so very urgent to him. He was never late to classes, never late to lunch- he's still not late for lunch. But now he just, didn't care as much. He shuffled around a bit, and fixed his face, trying not to look so smugly at the first year. "First of all, your on the wrong floor." he said smartly, pointing downwards. "It's on the first floor, next to defense against the dark arts classroom." he finished, squinting at the boy's obvious troubled facial expression.Β"Ionlyneedhelpfindingthehistoryroom!"
But he still couldn't help but wonder what got this boy here in the first place. Did he really just get lost? Or was he snooping around for something. Donny scratched his head and looked at the boy again. "Second of all, I don't speak parseltongue, so whatever you just said, makes no sense."Β he said, grinning. "And that's not all your snooping around for is it? Looking for a classroom?" Donny also said smugly. He was honestly really bored, so messing around with a little first year couldn't hurt.Β Β

There was a streak of annoyance wobbling at the peak of his expression, indicated by the furrow of his thin brow. Oliver considered himself no fool, but this Hufflepuff boy was brushing across his nerves. He wouldn't have it, though he shied away from confronting against the superiority of an older student."The wrong floor...?" he mumbled under his breath. Oliver flushed a deeper red color, pink in the ears as well. Those damn shifting stairs, confusing whether or not he was even climbing towards the correct corridor. Oliver winced inwardly at himself, trying to restrict his urge to be sarcastic or snap at the other boy.@Donnovan Perrywinkle
His head snapped up at the accusation. "I'm not snooping!" Oliver cried, holding his textbook flush to his narrow chest. He regretted having told the fact he was lost, now that the boy had this smugness smeared around the edges of his body language. Oliver decided right then that he absolutely despised being a first year. He was still wobbling into puberty like a drunken, scared man, and was at least a full two inches shorter than everyone in his year, with floppy sneakers that squeaked over every surface he walked. "I just-..." Oliver was even more resistant now, groaning deep in his throat. "The History of Magic classroom..." he sighed out.

Donny grinned, his arms folded at the young boy. Why was he so intent upon going to this class anyways? History of magic? Donny himself never learned anything from that class, except that the human mind could slip into wonderful nap in a matter of seconds while learning about the goblin rebellion. "Hey, um, kid? Your not missing out on much!" Donny said truthfully, not knowing his name quite yet. To be honest, Donny wasn't going completely anal on all of his classes now that he was a second year. Sometimes he would just let some assignments...slip his mind?
"Besides, what have you got to learn? How not to become a Goblin?" Donny said smartly, looking down on the short slytherin. He twiddled his fingers as an idea came to mind, maybe a sneaky one? "Hey, maybe do you wanna, skip your class and do something productive." he said, maybe lying a little bit. He for on was on break, and he was bored. So maybe a little venturing out of the normal box of school?Β he didn't think this would change this little slytherin's ways though. He was very to himself, and didn't want any help. "That is, or course...if your not scared of breaking the rules, huh?" he said,Β smiling.Β

Oliver frowned deeply, his expression sort of like a very disappointed old man despite his youth. "I've still got to know stuff for final exams, don't I? I need good grades," he insisted. His mind was subconsciously shaping his opinion of Donnovan, taking into account the fact that he seemed to be the type to so easily brush off classes. "And- it's Oliver. Not kid." He correct primly, though the tension sloughed off his shoulders a little. Speaking of missing assignments, Oliver was missing more and more of his history lesson as he lingered on. He still was terribly lost, so the best hope he had was to manage to excuse himself from the conversation and-
Breaking rules...? Oliver blinked. He blinked again. Huh? He couldn't comprehend it. The thought finally sunk into his brain. "..." He looked gobsmacked, his head twitching as he tried to compute what was being offered. "You want me to..." He loosened his grip on his textbook. "You want me to skip class... on purpose? To do what?" Oliver had gotten lost on accident, he wasn't snooping for some trouble. What if he was caught? What if the teacher took away house points? What if-? Oliver still sort of looked shocked, caught between following his own curious nature and obeying his strict morals.
