Physical Description: Roman is pretty much the most average looking 11 year old boy in England. He's 4'9 (around 144 cm), with deep brown eyes, messy hair of the same color, and pale skin. The only slightly discerning thing about him is the small mole just below his left eye.
Mental Description: Roman is rather introverted. If someone opens up to him, he's not going to run away, but he sure wasn't the one who initiated that conversation. He really values his alone time (notably sleeping). He is definitely quite brave, but this trait doesn't tend to manifest itself in battles or confrontations- moreso in his quiet integrity, in always being willing to stick on the side of things that he truly believes will do the most good, no matter how many people will hate him for it. Building on this, he's very loyal. As said, he finds it difficult to begin friendships, but once he really knows the person, he'll do anything for them and genuinely try to be the best friend he can be. Despite him being willing to anger thousands of strangers if what he's doing is for the greater good, he has a strong fear of disappointing those close to him and will often try to overcompensate and go out of his way to show them he's "worthy", even if this means he may abandon his values (this stems solely from his upbringing).
First Instance of Magic: Roman was 4 years old, and his parents were off doing who knows what, leaving him with just his preteen brothers. Next thing he knew, Ethan and Asher whisked him off to their mum's bathroom and begun applying lipstick, mascara, blush, anything they could find onto their little brother. Roman resisted and resisted but couldn't break free- he finally got so sick of it that dozens of makeup appliances started hurtling around the room, smacking his brothers repeatedly and causing them to flee, screaming and clutching their faces. Roman's still rather proud of this moment.
Backstory/Family: While Roman's parents aren't abusive... they aren't exactly perfect, either. Both were Slytherins in their time at Hogwarts, and so were each of their parents, and their parents, and, well, you get the idea. In the centuries the Burnett family has attended Hogwarts, each and every one has been sorted into Slytherin. They made this no secret that that is what they expected of Roman (and his 8 year elder twin brothers, Ethan and Asher). Growing up, Roman never had much room to breathe. Every decision he made wasn't really his, it was his parents'; from the way he dressed and spoke, where he went to school, who he was "friends" with, and even what hobbies he had. He was, and still is, constantly being compared to his brothers, who were both in Slytherin, harvesting a bit of resentment towards the older boys from Roman's side. Mum and Dad show him love not from warmth or genuine adoration for their son, but for achievements and things he accomplish that fit their mold of a good young wizard. On top of that, the Burnetts are extremely well off and throughout Roman's childhood he was forced to attend hundreds of meaningless high-standing events and act like someone completely different. All these things have made it so that Roman has difficulty opening up to someone or even sharing an interest of his in the fear that it will be shunned immediately or he'll look stupid. And Roman's parents didn't react too well when he got sorted into Hufflepuff, to say the least. They continue to make it clear he's weak and has let down the entire bloodline with his nonsense.
