August Adventure (Part 1) PV Linda Ramirez Reopened

Reyna nodded her head to everything Linda said. She didn't have any doubts and didn't see anything that they needed to change. And so with what they had, the two of them set off. They had agreed on everything and after finishing their food, which was already clearly finished anyway, they headed to the grocery store. It was easy for Reyna to find the items, she had been here quite a few times. She did most of talking and handled all the muggle money. It was a new experience for Linda she could tell. She highly doubted she had ever been to a grocery store.
But she didn't linger. Any questions Linda had would be answered at home. She wanted to be careful in the store. After all, you never know what could happen. At her house things were complicated for others to understand. Inside the house, there was no magic. Outside the house though, in the forest area, that's where Reyna, her mom and her grandparents practiced their magic. That way there was no exposure to muggles. Like her dad for instance. However, he knew about the world, he just, rarely ever saw it actually happen. She loved her dad for not questioning it.
The two of them winded up back home with everything needed. Reyna had picked out some red and yellow frosting, some gold sprinkles and obviously the things on her list as well. These would be for decorations. All the m&m's would be red and yellow in the cookies and the decorations on the lava cake, which usually didn't have much decorations on it would also be red and yellow. A great way to celebrate friendship.
As she set out the stuff she had bought and put the money away, she asked Linda, "Now that it's safer to talk about this, do you have any questions about the stuff at the grocery store? Or should we just get right to baking?"
Reyna was happy to explain but part of her just wanted to get on with it. After all, time was precious and time with her bestie was even more precious. She grabbed some aprons and gave them to Linda to start off anyway. She took out some tools that she had handy. They would be doing this the muggle way after all. She wondered how Linda did it when she baked. So she added on, "You bake using these tools right? Not with magic," she questioned.
I guess as the day was going on they were learning more about their personal lives, something only the truest of true friends did. And Reyna was quite happy with this. This day just couldn't get better. Or could it...?

After shopping and talking about muggle money they finally arrived back home to bake. The baking process was smooth and relaxing and the finished product looked amazing. "Mine's going good!" she replied, "What you made looks so good! Or what we made." She smiled. It was a we for sure. We. Reyna stood back and admired the work. "We should take a bite at the same time." she added.
She grabbed the cookie and passed one to Linda. Taking a bite at the same time, she savored the flavors and the decorations in her mouth. "Soooo goooooddd!" she mumbled through another bite of cookies. She could eat all of them right now. They really were a good team. She tried some of the other things while cleaning up the kitchen.
Later, they played some more games and then her parents came back home. She made sure that they tried the cookies and cake. She needed them to taste how good it was. Just as good as Linda and her friendship. She smiled.
Later after dinner while everyone was going to sleep she thought of this. Sweet cookies and cake. As sweet as their friendship. No wonder the cookies were so good. Because they made them together. Together made everything better. And she had plans for tomorrow too. They would swim. And for breakfast... they would have cookies and cake. And of course some healthy stuff. She giggled. The cookies and cake sounded so much better though.
With those good thoughts in her head, she fell asleep again, another amazing day now behind her.

The next few days passed by in a whiz. The two of them swam in the pool, ate their desserts, and made many memories. They recorded them with photos and stuck them in a journal. The last day before they were going to head to Greece, they spent the most of the day packing.
"You ready for Greece?" Reyna asked Linda. The week had been incredible and Reyna had gotten to know Linda so much better than she ever could have imagined.
And the fact that this week was just continuing was a miracle. They would have 2 more weeks in between with a few galas and balls in between that both of their parents wanted them to go on. Her mother was accompanying them on the trip there and had already packed. She assumed Linda's parents were going as well. "Hey are your parents coming on the trip as well?" she asked.
She took a long look at the house and the bedrooms. She was going to miss her room for a little while. While she was in Greece and then Linda's house after that. It wasn't the longest time because school at Hogwarts was a lot longer of a time away from her house.
Sadly she could not take her dog and her cat with her, so this likely would be the last time she would see them. She would take her cat with her to Hogwarts though.
"I'll miss you Aurum." she rubbed her fur. She scooped up Genie and ruffled her fur. Genie wasn't going nowhere. She loved the little moments she had with her furry friends and her non furry ones.
She loved her life and would not wish for anything more.

Reyna smiled. They were leaving for Greece soon actually tomorrow morning and it was getting to be evening now. She could hear her parents chatting downstairs and the dog and cat chasing each other like usual. “I also can not wait. We can watch the sunset together! And swim in the ocean!!!” she sighed. It was going to be a wonderful trip.
Reyna nodded her head as Linda explained how she was going to get there. “That’s right we have to go to the ball first! Do you have a dress in mind?” she asked. She wasn't sure whether she was excited or nervous. As a half-blood she wasn’t quite sure she fit in with the others at the ball as most of them were pure-bloods or wizard-born like Linda. Either way he hoped it would be fun.
“No this is my first trip with a friend actually! It will be really special. You know you’re probably one of the closest friends I’ve ever had. The only other friend I had before you was a girl named Hazel and she’s a muggle. I’m not sure where she is now though.” she paused. She hadn’t seen Hazel in a while. They used to be neighbors but she had no idea where she was now. She wished to see her again. And she wished she could tell Hazel of all her adventures she was having. Hazel would have loved to hear about that.
Pushing those thoughts away from her mind she grinned at Linda and asked, “You ready for dinner? We have a big day tomorrow!”
