Ellie sighed and got up as her name was called for the audition. Of course she was first. She noticed one girl come through the door just then, Avery Gray. A couple of other kids followed, first year. One of them introduced themselves as Roman. She looked to the other people around as she got up to go in to the audition room. There was a lot of people here now but she only recognized Avery Gray, who she had had a brief interaction with.

It felt scarier, walking into a room to do her audition rather than just doing it in front of everyone, at least then she could pretend it was just a concert. But of course, this was much bigger than a concert, especially because she had no clue what she would be ‘judged’ on.

Ellie entered the room and sat down. She set up her music and waited a little before starting to play. Ellie looked at every note before playing that she had in a way, ‘translated’ from the treble clef to make the song sound more exciting(the viola part was rather plain). Taking a breath, she began playing the notes. The song had the beautiful melody that was almost rock tempo, but then went into a soft melodyclick the link to listen.. Having not really liked the soft part of the song, Ellie decided to play up until that part, making her audition still one and a half minutes to two minutes. She was almost at the end when her fingers slipped and she played the wrong note. She had played the note for the viola part, having practiced it so much. Hoping the auditioner wouldn't notice, she went on like it had never happened.

Once finished, she took a breath. The song had been sort of fast and she had made a couple small mistakes that would hopefully be over looked.

OOC note: I hope this is good! lol, I almost forgot to make her mess up... no one is perfect!

The door widened and more people began to file in, their faces a mixture of emotions - incredulity, nervousness.. well that was understandable. They hoped they could, in due time, make everyone feel loved and included.

"You didn't miss anything, don't worry!" they commented, seeing the saxophonist walk in.

Korinna walked over, smiling, to greet the saxophonist as well as the violinist and flautist who had just arrived. Some of them seemed a bit shy and.. they just wanted to make sure that they, especially, felt comfortable and included as well.

They were startled by a sudden question from another boy - he hadn't brought an instrument, perhaps he was the pianist?

The question was.. slightly rude.. but that was alright. "We'll be starting soon, thank you for asking! It's nice to meet you, Roman. I'm so glad you've decided to join us." they nodded at him, then turned towards the rest of their fellow students, inhaling and exhaling slowly.

"After Ellie, we'll have Charlotte, then Eonaria. As far as the order goes, i'll let the person know who to call next once they've finished their audition." they gestured towards the violinist and vocalist. "For now, I suggest you get to know your peers and unpack your instruments. I look forward to meeting all of you and hearing your music!"

Korinna swung the door open to meet Ellie, taking a seat on the chair in front of her. They'd.. they'd never done this before.. and who were they to judge someone's playing?

Palms sweating, they nodded at Ellie to start whenever she was ready, a piece of parchment and a quill in hand.

They smiled as she began to play, the beautiful melody ringing throughout the room. As Korinna jotted down notes on the parchment, they noticed that there was.. a wrong note in there somewhere, but of course everyone slipped up from time to time. It seemed a little rushed.. hm..

"Thank you Ellie! Results should be owled to you soon. If you could uh.. call Charlotte for her audition, that would be wonderful."

Audition Pieces: 2 Scales and Seitz Concerto No. 5, 3rd Mvt (from Suzuki book 4)

Charlotte looked up as someone called her name. It was her turn. She took her violin and her books and walked to the room. She took a seat. Her breath quickened, and she felt butterflies in her stomach.What if she messed up really bad while playing? At least not everyone was watching. She opened her books.

She began to play 2 scales, which sounded okay, since she'd been playing them for awhile now. But that wasn't what she was worried about. As Charlotte flipped to the Concerto, she stopped. She hadn't quite mastered it, and there were still parts that needed to be improved.

Maybe she should just play another song that she was more familiar with. The concerto was hard to play, with lots of challenges, and the worst part was the long double stop passage. If she played a different song in her book, it would sound more simple, but it would also sound a bit better. She hesitated again.

It's fine. I'll play the Concerto. What's the worst that can happen? Charlotte took a deep breath, and she started. The beginning sounded pretty good. A sweet melody filled the room. She continued playing, trying her hardest to hit every note and get the rhythm right. When she got to the double stop part, she messed up a little and sounded kind of scratchy.

But Charlotte kept on going, and when she finished the song, she was satisfied. She'd play a hard song. It wasn't perfect, but it was okay.
