Out Of Breath
The young first year had spent the entire day literally running around Hogwarts exploring and figuring out her classes. she was excited. Her day at hogwarts was certainly a filling one, but Kendra decided to finally take a rest, near the great lake. She sat among the edge of the lake, gazing out and studying the water lilies that had sprouted. she smiled warmly at the plants. her love for them grew. she wondered if she could find her favorite flower growing at this time of year. Snapdragons. Kendra stood up, her legs a little wobbly from running. And started walking around the perimeter of the lake, trying to find her infamous Snapdragons. She could see many things from where she was, the castle, the observatory. it was such a site to look at. Kendra sighed, if only her parents could come here. they would love it here! her homesickness turned into a small depressing episode, 1 single tear streaking down her face. But then she stood up straighter and wiped away the tear, plastering a smile. No time to thing about sadness when you need to find Snapdragons! her lively nature gave her more adrenaline to walk across the lake further. but as soon as she reached halfway, her legs were beginning to wobble again. Kendra's legs began shaking more and more, and eventually gave out on her. she collapsed, yelping in surprise and pain. Kendra couldn't do anything, all she could do was call out for help.
"Help! Please! Someone!"

Out Of Breath
Sally had arrived at the lake with a book in hand just to relax and get some fresh air while she read.
It was a beautiful day. She could hear the chatter of various magical birds, feel the rustling of the wind and breathe in the scent of the water. Students wandered around doing various activities. She could see someone in the distance climbing a tree, a girl was walking around the lake while others formed groups and chatted.
Sally opened her book and settled down to read. She felt serene.
She had only read the first line though when she heard a dull thud followed by a cry for help. Raising her head, she saw the girl who was walking had fallen down. Sally immediately leaped up and reached her. "Hey, are you okay?"
What kind of a question was that? Sally mentally scolded herself. Of course she is not okay, she just fell down.
Placing her book to one side, Sally reached out to help the girl up. "Are you hurt? We could go to the infirmary."

The girl had been panting. and occasionally yelling. when Kendra heard a response, she immediately attempted to sit up.
and fell straight back. she grumbled and sighed. "Yeah im okay! my legs just gave out!"
it was a valid reason and a truthful excuse. Kendra looked like she went through the woods and back.
Small bits of her robe was torn, her hair disheveled in a mess, dirt smudges all over her, giant bags under her eyes from lack of sleep. yet through all of that was a smile. Kendra was having the best time at Hogwarts, back at her own home she lived in an apartment where there wasn't much space to run around. but here she could be free. Kendra had the biggest smile on her face.
"Hi! Im Kendra! a first year! Nice to meet you!!"
she held out her hand as a greeting, with an even bigger smile. Kendra attempted to blow her hair out of the way, with her eyes bright and cheery. "I was running around the school and i got too tired, but i loved it!" Kendra let out a bright laugh, it could make anyone just smile. you could see a bit of plants sprawl around her. but that's normal. Out Of Breath
Tsukiko had been wandering around, talking to various people in hopes of a friendship, but to no avail. She spots two girls at the other side of the Great Lake, and starts heading in their direction with her chin held high. She felt that, if maybe she seemed more confident, people would take a liking to her. She was awful at socializing.
She sees that one girl is on the ground, and the other looks concerned. Once she reaches where they are placed, she reaches out a hand for the girl on the ground.
"Let me help you up. The name's Tsukiko. Just now arrived and got sorted. I'm a mess mentally, but I'm making it. What's your name?"
She let her hand linger as she awaited the girl's response.
She sees that one girl is on the ground, and the other looks concerned. Once she reaches where they are placed, she reaches out a hand for the girl on the ground.
"Let me help you up. The name's Tsukiko. Just now arrived and got sorted. I'm a mess mentally, but I'm making it. What's your name?"
She let her hand linger as she awaited the girl's response.

"Im Kendra! i don't have lots of mental illnesses other then anxiety! but i took my medicine so im okay! Nice to meet you!"
Kendra wore a bright smile that could light up a room, she waved eagerly. her hair was still sticking out everywhere and still on the ground.
"I do need a little help! Thank's for being concerned!" her higher pitched voice basically emit happiness. "Do you guys wanna be my friends?!" Kendra tried to sit up again but fell backwards with a thud. "We could have tea party and sleepovers! and we could talk to each other and become best friends!" Kendra's eyes lit up. "i've never had best friends before! ah this is so exciting!" Kendra looked around her surroundings and saw a butterfly "Oh my god guys look a butterfly! It's so pretty! Ah!"
She gets distracted easily. "Im really hungry... do you guys have any food? i forgot to go to breakfast today." She looked at her legs, which were sprawled over and still numb. "Oh right im stuck-" she laughed and smiled. "Can you help please?"

Tsukiko grinned brightly, and lifted the girl to a standing position. Helping her walk to the closest tree, she leaned her against it to give her slight comfort. She takes a seat next to the hyperactive girl.
"Of course, I'd love to be your friend. You're adorable."
She gave the girl a thumbs up and a silly grin, but she just couldn't help it. Everyone here was so serious, and this girl was basically what Tsuki was like on the inside. She loved that someone could portray this so openly and not care. Maybe she could learn a thing or two from this girl.
Hearing the girl ask for food, she pulled another peppermint and creme cupcake from her messenger bag. She had made a batch before her trip, but her anxiety made her lose her appetite.
"Here you go, Kendra. I hope you like mint."
She smiled and handed it to the bouncy girl, giving her a soft pat on the head.
"Of course, I'd love to be your friend. You're adorable."

"Whoa! you are so nice! Everyone hates jokes or smiling! Lets be best friends!"
The Younger smiled and clung to Tsukiko, since her legs were still weak. she tried her best to lift herself up. "And pretty, D-Did i say that?! Im sorry!" Kendra's face grew hot with embarrassment at the previous state. a dark pink hue spreading across her face along with her dotted freckles. She continued to speak very quickly and ramble in embarrassment. "it's just that i was home schooled and i didn't go outside but i wanted to and then my dad sent me here and i was so happy because of the freedom and everyone here is just so pretty and i feel very ugly even though i know im not but everyone is a lot more pretty than i am and oh god im rambling im sorry hahaha" she spoke quick and breathy. it was so embarrassing.

Tsuki rubs her back softly to try to calm her down. Her quick and adorable rambling made her grin spread wider.
"Please don't apologize or get embarrassed. I'm flattered that you think I'm pretty. You are very pretty as well. Ramble all you want, you have a friend who will listen now."
She smiled reassuringly, hoping the girl would trust her. She had finally made a friend, and she was pleased beyond words.
"I was locked away before coming here, and never really got social interaction. I'm honestly shocked I was able to approach you so carelessly. I usually babble and can't form sentences. But... you have a calming aura. I can sense that about you. It helped me, and now I have a new friend!"
Tsuki wiggled playfully, excitement filling every inch of her body. Maybe this first year won't be so rough after all.

"oh my god i feel so flustered right now, and thank you for calling me pretty! and im also really glad that we are friends now! you are so nice!"
Kendra smiled brightly and sighed, her legs were gaining strength, and soon she will walk.
"whoa, that's really sad, i hope i can make you feel better! my parents don't call me calm! they usually call me energetic and hyper, like im on candy! i love candy and im not allowed to have it! but that's okay! I love new friends! I really hope we do lots of fun stuff together! like tea parties and sleepovers and gossiping! Oh this is gonna be so much fun!"

When Kendra said she had been running around the school and was smiling despite having fallen down, Sally couldn't help giggling. The girl's carefree nature was so refreshing and Sally felt genuinely happy in her company.
Then another girl, Tsusiko came towards them, and helped prop up Kendra.
"I would love to be your friend, Kendra. By the way, my name is Sally," she replied smiling and waved to Tsusiko as well.
Tsusiko sat along with Kendra against the tree. Sally settled down in front of them after picking up her book from where she had left it. Maybe she could chat with them for a while. The two of them seemed lovely but she was still a little scared whether she would be accepted or not. After all, she didn't normally do carefree stuff like Kendra and was generally more reserved. But she was here already, so better make the most of the situation.
And then the two of them began talking animatedly and Sally immediately felt awkward. Would leaving now be okay? It will probably be weird. So she just decided to go back to her book for a while.
