Today, Rosaline planned to buy her supplies for the new semester. She thought she probably needed a couple of days to finish her shopping list. Julian happened to get a day off, so the entire Everhart family could go together.

Diagon Alley always made people feel busy, especially in the summer season, students from all around England crammed in here and prepared for their new school year.

There were too many things to buy, so Rosaline’s mother went ahead on her own to buy potion materials. Rosaline’s father and she went to buy other stuff. Julian had come here many times, but he always felt novel for regular products in the Wizard world. His favorite stores were Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes and Flourish and Blotts. On the other hand, Rosaline’s favorite store is Quality Quidditch Supplies. She had been interested in Quidditch for her whole life (Maybe this is too exaggerated) When she was seven, she started to play Quidditch with her elder cousins. Though her cousins were already in Hogwarts and had been Quidditch players for years, they taught her how to fly with patient.

“Dad, I want to go to Quality Quidditch Supplies! I heard they have some new models.” Rosaline said with joy. Julian nodded with a smile.

Rosaline held his hand and dragged him forward. When they reached the store, Rosaline stared into the shop window, eyes shining, wanting to see the new models.

“It must be nice to own a Moontrimmer.” She murmured with admiration.
Julian asked, “Is Quidditch just like soccer? I still can’t figure it out to this day.” Rosaline began to enthusiastically explain the whole Quidditch rules again. As she eloquently spoke all the rules, she noticed a boy with fluffy, curly hair near her. He looked about her age. She thought he must be interested in Quidditch too.
Hope I got a chance to talk to him.

Through the last few hours, Milo had been dragging his dad from one store to the other, his eyes wide with curiosity with every new shop he discovered. The teen’s hand was clutched in his father's palm as they walked through the streets, his gaze eagerly darting from one side to the other, until it was caught by a sign: Quality Quidditch Supplies. Focusing his attention to the store, Milo couldn't help but shrug his palm from his dad's grip and walk closer to the building, eagerly leaning to look through the window to the inside, taking in the sight of the different balls - his eyebrows shooting up at the sight of the one with wings -, uniforms and especially the brooms, each with its own distinct design.

He had to take a long breath to not start bouncing in place from excitement; so, this store sold stuff from a magical sport? With brooms and balls with wings? Milo immediately looked at his father, blinking his eyelashes in a silent pleading; the older man, just in the middle of answering a call, just gave him a grudging nod and a sigh, before bringing his phone to his ear and starting to answer whoever it was, taking a few steps away. The teenager just gave him one, two looks, before he turned back to the store, ready to push the doors open and get inside, before he stopped on his tracks when he heard the voice of a girl, probably close to his age, talking about rules and more rules of the sport.

With his interest immediately picked up, he stayed in place, taking in everything she was saying; he couldn't help but sigh dreamily, a scenario already opening in his head, where he was flying on a broom and playing that sport. Quidditch, if he heard correctly. When she was done speaking the rules, Milo couldn't help but let a comment escape through his lips, louder than he meant it to be, “...Huh, sounds more like a weird mix of handball and rugby, with brooms.”

A shiver ran through his body when he noticed that now he had two pairs of eyes on him; a small, nervous smile opened on his lips as he snickered lowly, fidgeting with the fabric of his own sweater. “oh, huh… Sorry ‘bout that. I wasn't meanin’ to listen in…” He cleared his throat as one of his hands comes up to twitch a curl of his hair on his finger, his cheeks growing warmer with every second that passes. “Sorry, again. Ye explains really well, though. Quidditch sounds awesome.”

As Rosaline explained the Quidditch rules to her father, she noticed the boy near her was listening intently. She didn’t think too much of it. He might be interested in Quidditch!

When she finished explaining the rules to her father, the boy made a comment. She and Julian turned toward the voice. She was a little startled. She didn’t see this coming, but she liked the comment and thought that was funny. She chuckled and replied, “Yes, yes. I think that’s a terrific simile! The brooms really are the difference.” She looked at her father and teased him, “Was this example good enough for you?” Julian laughed and said, “Oh, I finally can get it now.” He said to the boy, “Thank you for your brilliant idea.”

Rosaline thought her little wish had just come true. She liked to talk to people, especially the ones who might share the same excitement about the new semester.

She tried to make a conversation. Though she was an introvert, chattiness was still part of her nature, “Hello, it doesn’t bother me at all. I’m glad we got a chance to talk. It seems you are really interested in Quidditch! I’m Rosaline, by the way.” Rosaline introduced herself beamingly to the boy. She noticed he was a little nervous, so she did her best to keep the conversation going. “What’s your name?” she asked nicely.

Rosaline wondered if he was a firstie like herself. She held back the question so she wouldn’t come across as rambling.
