𝓟eter grabbed his well-worn, dog-earred copy of The Outsiders out of his trunk. He absolutely loved this book, and has devoured the book way more a few times. He quite enjoyed to read, and he wondered what book his best friend has last read. He wondered why some people desperately loathed reading and books in general. What was there not to like? You literally get transported to the book’s settings in her mind! It’s kinda like a movie if you think about it.
The Beauxbâtons boy exited his dorm room, after he tied his white sneakers, his book in hand. He shut the door without a sound, and walked through his school.
There wasn’t many students as it was after hours, and after a long day of classes, Peter just wanted to unwind with a good book in the gorgeous gardens. It was his favorite place at Beauxbâtons. It was perhaps one of the only reasons he stayed at Beauxbâtons.
He opened the door, and his shoes touched grass as he made his way across the grounds. Even more spring flowers had grown from the last time he was here, and his emerald green eyes wanted to see every single flower. There was always a lovely sight to see, here. Always, there was.
Peter saw a leafy pruned tree with a large trunk, and sat down, setting his shabby novel down by his shoes. Next to where he sat his book down, there was a greedy weed strangling a wee dandelion. The yellow flower was barely two inches tall. barely getting any nutrients at all. He pulled out the weed and its large, fat roots, dirt spewing from the roots.
With that, done, the Welsh boy leaned back against the bark, picked up his book, and fingered the thin, old cover. Sure, it was old and dusty, but Peter still loved The Outsiders. He flipped to the first page and started to read.

Geneviève had been enjoying a quiet afteroon in the gardens of Beauxbatons as she studied for an upcoming Transfiguration exam. Surprisingly the gardens offered a wonderful way for her to practice this branch of magic as there was always some sort of ever changing aspect to nature of the floral kind.
Not to mention, the skies were a bright blue and the breeze was dancing along the blades of grass where she sat atop a soft quilted picnic blanket. Her golden hair was coiffed and falling across her back as her head was bent down gently while she mused over the notes she had taken in class. Her soft handwriting was illuminated in the sun with the delicate purple ink she had written the notes over after class had finished.
She loved the aesthetic of writing notes even if she didn't much care for the act of taking the original ones down. However something about relaxing with a cup of tea and some snacks on a picnic blanke was the perfect way to study and relax after a long day of classes.
She had been focusing on the Flower-conjuring charm. Sucessfully, she was able to conjure roses but she had wanted to expand her ability to conjure other flowers so as to make a bouquet perhaps. The individual veins of each petal and the fragile yet intricate descriptions that different flowers was important to practice if she wished to be able to create more types of flowers. Flowers were goregous and with the approach of the end of spring, she wanted to ensure that throughout the rest of the year she would be able to bring the colors of spring into her life.
Orchids, Magnolias, Daffodils, Wisterias. Any sort of flower was her favorite but none so much as the lavender roses that grew in the deeper areas of the Gardens. Afterall, the most perfect of those roses had been plucked for her and given to her by the most handsome boy she'd ever met. That night she had gone and pressed it between her diary and asked a professor to cast a stasis charm on the petals so that it would stay perfect forever.
She was soon distracted however, by the sound of someone traipsing through the gardens. Her head looked up and she saw a blonde boy resting against one of the grand trees in the garden to read. With a polite quip, she called out to him.
"Would you like some tea while you read?" She asked with a soft melodic tone to the words she spoke. Not her doing, just the natural way that her voice wrapped around the words she spoke.
She would never turn down the opportunity to offer tea to others. Not to mention, give the opportunity for friendships to blossom. Across the school, she was quite popular and she loved to talk with her fellow students. But she had seldom few true friends. Not those who wanted anything more than to be associated with something of royalty. Perhaps whoever it was that was sitting against the bark of the tree would want to share their interest in the gardens. Wouldn't that just be splendid?

𝓐s Peter read, he flipped each dog-eared page with careful precision, and precautions.
He remembered one time, he had been reading the poor tome, and little Marietta, Minnie, and Marie were playing when they were as young as six and five. Marietta walked on toddering legs, and Minnie and Marie, the twins, walked with their hands steadyihg each other, and Minnie tripped on a pink, toy hedgehog, the xylophone in her hands flew out, and hit his book right on the spine. The Outsiders was tossed out of the Welsh boy's fingers, and tumbled for the shaggy rug in the living room. Minnie and Marie grabbed it and stared fighting over, causing the spine to rip and be torn. Brookline, and Winnie had just walked into the room just as the spine was about to rip half-way. They raced to Brookline's insane sisters, and with Peter's help, was able to pry their sticky fingers off the book. That resulted in a taped-up book. Amy had offered to buy another copy but Peter had lightly refused, stating that the volume he had was special to him.
Just then, startling him out his daydream, a gentle melody reached his ears. His green eyes drifted up, and took in a poised, graceful girl with long, curly blonde hair, who looked she was about his year. The girl seemed nice, and she was sitting on a picnic blanket with her homework, and scalding tea.
Peter’s mouth spread in a small smile, as this girl reminded him of his two best friends. Extroverts, at the least, not giving a darn about who or what they’ll converse with, or who even cares, or who would even see.
The girl asked if the Welsh boy wanted some tea as he read, and his first thought was tea?! but he quickly recovered as some people actually really liked tea. He gave a soft nod, as he wasn’t quite sure what tea even tasted like. Peter’s mother always drank tea or coffee. Although, Iris Smith always thought tea was more healthy than the latter. His father always tasted tea as bitter or it doesn't have enough sugar I want, but perhaps Peter’s tastebuds would be different.
“Hello! I’m Peter, I usually I don’t drink tea but my mum says it’s not so bad.” Peter chucked, trying to make a small joke. He tried to conceal his Welsh accent, and it primary worked. The Beauxbâtons boy would lay his book down, careful to not place it upside down on its pages, lest it’s spine would break easier. He didn’t want to do that to his already old, taped-up novel.

Date: 04/02/25 | Time: Afternoon | CC:#FFFDD0────────────────────────────────Geneviève smiled as she offered her new friend a cup of tea. The tea set that she had picked out was designed to emmulate the bluebirds from the Sleeping Beauty ballet, with a white base that blended into a bright turquoise with a gold handle. It was supposed to be just as delicate as the variation of the ballet duet that the bluebirds danced on stage. It was her favorite tea set and she felt that it was appropriate to have out on such a fine day.
Her hands carefully passed the cup over to the hands of her companion, whose book now lay besides him rather than in his hands. Peter was his name. So Geneviève felt it was only appropriate to introduce herself in turn.
"My name is Geneviève Caussade. Of the Caussade family. It is a pleasure to meet you. Isn't it such a lovely day out? I am quite enjoying the weather but it is always nice with another." Geneviève spoke with an affluent air. The gentle breeze flowed through her hair as she took a sip of her tea and sighed with a gentle smile.
She looked over at the book that Peter had placed down beside him, unfamiliar with the cover and made a simple motion towards it. "Your book, what is it you are reading? Are you a fan of literature? I quite like reading romantic novels." Geneviève smiled. She loved the prospect of a romantic love story where the prince was able to obtain a princess, or perhaps the knight fell in love with his princess that he was supposed to guard. Anything romantic to be quite fair was perfect for her. Though she knew it was not everyone's cup of tea -she giggled to herslef as she made the little quip to herself- she still wondered what people liked to read in their spare time.
She also noticed, that Peter had a bit of an accent. Her head cocked slightly as she listened to him hide it.
"There's no need to hide a voice you have. Language comes in many shapes and forms. Geneviève said placing a bit more emphasis on her own French accent so as to invite Peter to feel more comfortable speaking with her. Geneviève knew that her own grasp of the English language was not always the strongest but it was something she was working towards. Particularly because she had her own people that she needed to converse with in a language that was not her own.
"How are you faring with exam preparation? I am not looking forward to anything aside from Transfiguration. I've been practicing my flower conjuring charm however! I feel quite confident in how it is coming along." Geneviève said as she poured more tea into her cup. The soft aroma of an Earl Grey was still steaming and hot from her teapot which satiated her need for a drink.
