Yeah. My mom uses a mix of vinegar and alcohol (she’s a nurse). She also does something with garlic where she boils garlic in a pan or something like that and lets the garlic oil cool. Once it’s cooled, you put it in your ears and let it sit for awhile. If your ears are swollen and painful, definitely get them checked out at an urgent care clinic or by your own doctor.
If it's water that's in your ears, really the best home remedy is to put a bit of rubbing alcohol in the ear, swish it around a bit then let it drain. Alcohol will actually absorb some of the water and promote drying.
I have heard of using vinegar mixed with alcohol.
Obviously, don't go poking or sticking q tips into your ear.
And no, you shouldn't normally hear your own pulse. That would be something to address with the doctor.
