It was a crisp Sunday morning. There were few clouds in the sky, with the sun occasionally peaking out from behind them. A gentle wind hit the audience. It was the kind of cold that felt refreshing, in a way. The grass had a slight frosty sheen to it as the cold winter weather started to approach. There was evidence of ice on the grounds of the quidditch field. But that did not matter. That did not affect the burning passion and love that each and every student present had for the sport. Besides, no one actually played quidditch whilst touching the ground.
Today, it was a battle of brains as well as quidditch. Ravenclaw and Slytherin would be tested in both ways today as they faced each other. The team's tactics, their ability to team work and their abilities to perform their individual tasks will all affect the end result. Ravenclaw had one win under their belt already. This game would help ensure their overall win or be the comeback that Slytherin wanted. Only time would tell.
Could Emma Hill of Ravenclaw secure her team's victory once more - or would Dan Palmer of Slytherin be able to snatch the prize and start their comeback?
Professor Jensen stood in the audience, wrapped up by her winter coat and nuzzled into a very neutral purple colour scarf to avoid any house bias. She was not big on the sport, to be honest. Watching children take a bludger to the face or having them knocked off a broom with a fifty feet drop was not exactly her idea of fun. But she was not here to have fun, she was here to do her job. The Head of House was positioned towards the center of the audience stadium, ready to cast a spell at any moment's notice.
She could not stop the children from falling off their broom, nor could she help them to get back into the game. But she could cast a spell last minute to help break their fall, to ensure that their fall did not hospitalise them, that they were taken off the pitch immediately and tended to by the school's finest healers.
It was game time.
This thread is now under the moderation control of Saskia Nicholson.

Ravenclaw vs. Slytherin
It was game time once again. Erin Ryan was one of the first onto the field. In her last game against Hufflepuff, Slytherin had a good start but ultimately she found herself to be a target of bludger attacks after the Hufflepuff team determined she was a threat when they realized she had a powerful arm that could one-shot most of her opponents. It was likely they would be targeting her again.
She kicked off the ground and took flight. She was a mediocre student but a skilled flier. The quidditch armor was heavy, limited her mobility. She disliked it. There was a prideful part of her that believed that she would fare better without the armor. However she begrudgingly complied. This was not about winning, not for her at least.
Ravenclaw was, for the most part, beneath her notice. A bunch of nerds. She was not even certain she wanted to beat any of them down. They were not death witches, well any of the known quidditch players at least. Shame @Kaegen Deathmote was not here. She would have broken his legs and finally had the captive audience she so desperately desired. She would scan the field and see (insert first Ravenclaw to post). They seemed awfully suspicious. Shame for them, she had her first target unless that party-pooper Captain had a better idea.

Erin plans to inflict violence.
Just a trick of the lighting they said...

Ravenclaw vs. Slytherin
To Alexx, it was about winning. Slytherin won against Ravenclaw in the past, but lost to Hufflepuff? That didn't seem right. Not even a little bit. It was time to redeem themselves, and Alexx planned to help out. Well, of course she did, she was on the team. But this was more than that. This went beyond a goal or an aspiration. This was vengeance. This was war.
Mounting her broom, Alexx went up. She wasn't nervous this time; she had her game-face on. At the end of the day, the goal was always to make Tex proud. It was just time to put that plan into motion. She wouldn't tell him about their loss against Hufflepuff; not at all. But she would tell him about her helping kick bird butt.
Though she found the girl, considering the one time she had seen her, a complete nutcase, Alexx passed a faithful nod to Erin, hoping to boost team moral. Erin was hell on... A broom. She's glad she wasn't a Ravenclaw. Those poor birds would get beaten out of the sky if they weren't careful.
Of course, Alexx had her share of a good moment under her belt. Though it was a brief moment of glory, knocking Serena out of the sky was an achievement that she wouldn't soon forget. Even if it amounted to little to nothing, she proved that, though small, she was fierce.

Ravenclaw vs. Slytherin
Dan finished dressing in the locker room. Putting on his uniform, putting on his guards, taking off his shoes, keeping them off, and putting his clothing in the locker.
However, he noticed something off after he did so, one he didn't see at first for some odd reason.
In place of his school broom, he found a brand new, fresh bought broom. A Swiftstick, if he remembered his brooms correctly, which he should; he'd stared at them for long enough. There was also a note attached. 'To the best barefoot captain in Slytherin. From Ruby Cazares.'
Dan was in shock. Ruby had...
He took his new Swiftstick out, and inspected it properly to make sure all was as it was supposed to be. Finding that it was, he went out with his team, mounted his broom, and took off flying, and got into position. He was NOT gonna let everyone down this time.

The blonde scanned the field, eyes finding the familiar purple haired girl. Her eyes narrowed. Did Erin have something to do with the giants at the ball? In Dymphna’s mind, she was guilty. Why else would she go around spouting nonsense about death, to try and inflict it herself via the giants?
Honestly, Dymphna thought she would feel better if there were someone to blame. The ball was now over, her injuries mostly healed but she was bitter nonetheless. The scar, she was told, would likely be there for the rest of her life. Her grandmother Eithne, a half-Veela, cried when she told her what had happened. Was it because her life had been in danger or the scar? Dymphna was afraid to ask.
Mounting her broom, she soared upwards towards the goals, preparing for the match ahead. Slytherin could be brutal, particularly Erin and she didn’t want to let her guard down.
ACTION: Get into position.

Ravenclaw vs. Slytherin
To be completely honest, Ruthie had confused the dates of their next Quidditch match. She'd been so bogged down in homework and exams—not to mention the aftermath of the masquerade ball which continued to haunt her dreams—that the rest of it had all seemed to fade away. Even the upcoming Christmas period did not phase her. If anything, other people's Christmas cheer was an unexpected distraction.
And so, she wandered out to the pitch admittedly a bit frazzled. She wished she'd had more time to prepare, more time to strategize, more time to eat breakfast. But you couldn't be great all the time. As she gripped her broom to kick off into the air, she considered her team, this wonderful group of individuals who'd worked so hard to defeat Gryffindor earlier in the term. Some were born born great with natural ability like Emma, their Captain. Others had achieved greatness like Lavinia and her hat-trick or Neculai and his successful catch. And still others, like herself, had greatness thrust upon them. But no matter their background or state of mind, she believed in this team and the greatness they could and would achieve.
Action: Getting in position.

Last game was amazing and Lavinia was ready to continue that streak of winning so she walked out on to the field with determination in her eyes. She had never been the star player before so when she walked through the halls and people were asking for her autograph it came as a shock. She did not know why they wanted hers and not her other teammates. But she did it anyway while sending them on their way to see her other teammates.
This game she really wanted to win and for her team to preform to their best ability again. So that’s what she was going to do on her new Comet 180. Beat the guts out of Slytherin. Nothing could stop her amazing team. They realized that Lavinia did not have a broom so they all pitched in to buy one, what team could be better then that? No one.

Ravenclaw vs. Slytherin
Their last Quidditch game had been an absolute flop. They had failed. Koko herself had not done too badly, but she felt as if she could have done more for the team. She could have cheered them on. She could have done more. Still, however, Koko knew that now was not the time to dwell on past mistakes. Now was the time to learn from them and beat the crap out of some Ravenclaws.
Slytherin had already beaten Ravenclaw before; why did they have to prove themselves once again? It didn't matter. They would still do it, right? Of course. Even if Ravenclaw had an insane beater and a plan - they were the House of wisdom; when did they not have a plan!? - Koko was sure that Slytherin would also be able to beat them. Resourceful and clever, that was what they were. They knew what they were doing.
Koko had entered the Quidditch Pitch with a smirk on her face. It was best to appear confident; perhaps to try and intimidate her enemies? Yes, that would work. her blonde hair was tied back with the green scrunchie that her brother had sent her, and she was clad in her Quidditch robes. In her right hand was her Nimbus 1700, not even looking worn out from the few months she had used it. It had served her well so far, and she hoped that it could serve her well once more.
Koko's arrogance had faded into a calm feeling that filled her entirely. The team knew each other; they worked well together. That was what mattered and what would ensure their success.
The girl's amber eyes brightened as she took in her surroundings, making herself familiar with them before the match started. Not that she was unfamiliar with them, though. She just wished to know them like the back of her hand. She wished to know the best shortcuts and the most efficient way to play her part.
Koko let out a sigh and straddled her broom, kicking off from the ground and flying up to take her position by the goalposts, where she could see quite a lot. Observation was important, especially in her role as Keeper. It was what made her able to defend the goals at all.
Defend she would do.
As strategized.

Ravenclaw vs. Slytherin
Today was the day when the second match of quidditch would happen, and River had been keeping track of the days. As the team began to step out and take their position, the redhead gave a smile of encouragement, as she took her given spot, the bench. To be perfectly honest, River didn’t mind being benched all that much, she liked getting a preview of what was to come, in case she would be needed through the game.
The only thing that she wasn’t the biggest fan of, was the fact that the nerves had more time to creep up her spine and settle deep in her bones before her potential need to step up and play. Being nervous wasn’t usual for River, but for some reason, playing quidditch in front of this big of an audience made her skeleton shiver slightly, but one thing was sure, it would not stop her from giving it her all.
Sure, Slytherin had beaten Ravenclaw once before, but that must have been from pure luck.
She knew her team was awesome, and they all had the same goal for the day; kick some snake butt.|| Action ||

Ravenclaw vs. Slytherin
This was it.. Lark's first match. Even warming a spot on the bench still made her heart race. The night before had been the longest ever and she had made sure to put herself to bed much earlier than usual, wanting to be fully rested for the day! Not that she expected to be put in, it being her first game and all but still.. Even with the chill in the air didn't seem to effect the young Ravenclaw. She was much too excited to even realize the tip of her nose had started to turn pink.
Streaks of blue tangled with flashes of green as the players flew around the pitch. Peeling her eyes away from the spectators, Lark adjusted the leather strap around her knee guard making sure it was secured. She didn't recognize any of the Slytherin players, except for one with recognizable purple locks.. Erin, the same student she had roomed with over the Summer. The rest however she may have seen around the castle but no one she knew outright. Although... Lark felt a bit uneasy as her eyes settled on another familiar face, had that been the girl Dale spoke to that the ball?
A rush of energy surged through the auburn haired girl, a streak of silver in her bangs. Containing her excitement was starting to interfere with her ability to change appearance. Focusing her attention on the players overhead she cheered for her teammates as they rose into the sky one by one. This all still felt very surreal.. even having practiced with Ruthie. Here she was on the pitch.. in uniform with her own broom even. Madness! But thrilling!
Lark had taken a seat next to River, giving her a nod as she sat. She wasn't sure if River was as nervous as Lark felt.. Turning to face the players on the field, Lark couldn't help but grin. This was going to be one heck of a game.
Action: Bench warming and focusing on the game.
