Dear Bertie Bott and Liverpool's Pink Runaway,
I'm so sorry for taking so long to respond to your owls, honestly I've been studying adamantly, my dorm mates couldn't even knock me out of the stupor I was in. The books I was reading were so enticing and I couldn't help but read, read and read some more! If you couldn't tell already reading is my favourite thing to do. I like to draw as well but its nowhere near as interesting as reading. I'm usually that girl sitting in the quiet darkish corner of the library on the muggle beanbags.

Bertie Bott, that sounds so great! Congratulations to him! I'm a little jealous of you both, you're able to go home for Christmas, my parents are in Azkaban so home is so empty, going there is the WORST feeling ever, its such a big house and it just echoes and its depressing, so I am spending my Christmas here in Hogwarts.

I got my first Exceeds Expectations in Potions! I got an Outstanding in Charms to! Hopefully I can keep this up with the rest of my classes as I really, really want to stay at the top of my classes, no matter how hard they are. I also agree with Liverpool's Pink Runaway, Bertie Bott, you shouldn't get older students to do your work for you. I know how hard it can be but the whole point is to learn and grow right? We'll all get there in the end. Also good luck Liverpool's Pink Runaway.

I don't really play any instruments, honestly I wouldn't know where to begin with that stuff. Well anyway, in response to both your questions, I'm doing well! I can't wait to hear from you guys again!

Hello again, Liverpool's Runaway and Clever Slytherin,

First off, I apologise for the late reply. Things happened, homework got in the way and I kind of delayed writing this letter a bit too much.

Clever Slytherin, it sucks that your parents are in Azkaban. I've heard it's a nasty place. I guess spending Christmas at Hogwarts isn't too bad, though. The grounds must make a pretty sight with snow all over. And you'll be having great meals, too. The school's food is the best I've ever tried, no joke.

So, Runaway, you're paired up with Roman Kingston in Potions? I know that fellow. He's on the Slytherin Quidditch team and I've heard of this ‘Witching Hour’ band, too. I don't take Potions with him, unfortunately, and I'm musically incompetent, so I won't be of much use in the group unless they need a manager or something. I'll pay closer attention to the people he hangs out with from now on, though. The hidden identities thing is cool, but I'm really curious.

I thought I'd also let you know that, despite the cheating incident, I got an E on my last Potions assignment. Took me long enough but the genius portion of my brain is finally starting to shine.

Winter break is going to be brilliant. I'd like to send you some postcards over the holidays, but since I don't know who I should address them to, I guess I'll just give them to you once we are all back at school.

Dear Bertie Bott and Liverpool's Pink Runaway, I am so sorry I have been gone for so long! I was preparing for Christmas at Hogwarts and then I was studying so I could stay on top of my classes and then of course I celebrated Christmas from here, then I celebrated New Years with a few older students as well who were here for the holidays. Let's see what else did I do, I rearranged my part of my dorm, I found some new hairstyles for me to try and things like that. But I am so so sorry, how was your holidays? I hope you both had a great time and I promise I am back to responding to the owls regularly!

I have some homework I need to catch up with and Bertie Bott, since you are curious about what we look like, I can give you a hint and see if you can spot me around school. Ready? My hair is very long, curly and black. But that's all I will reveal! Let's see if you can find me shall we?

Liverpool's Pink Runaway, I hope you are happy to be back at Hogwarts! Even though I know who Roman is, I don't think I've caught you around him, I have tried though don't get me wrong, but it's not easy.

Anyway I hope you both would like to still talk with me through letters! Cause I really do enjoy this I just got overwhelmed with everything I was doing and completely forgot to check for your letters.

How’s it going, Liverpool's Pink Runaway and Clever Slytherin?

Felt like two eternities since I last wrote you a letter. Glad to be back.

The winter holidays were grand. I stuffed as much food in my stomach as it could physically handle, I got an Irish National Quidditch team robe and I watched Love Actually with my Nan. The whole McCarthy family stayed in Dublin, together at my grandparents'. My cousin Garrick got kicked out of the Westford Weasels, apparently. He said he was sacked because they knew he was too good for such a lousy club, but my uncle says it was because he missed every single training session.

To be honest, I was a bit sad about leaving for Hogwarts. Then, up on the train, I bought 10-sickles worth of sweets from the Trolley and loom quickly vanished.

So, long, black, curly hair, right Clever Slytherin? Well, I'm afraid that's not too much of a clue, since 40% of the girls at school fulfil that description. Nevertheless, I promise I'll be on the lookout for a long haired girl with a Birmingham accent.

As for you, Liverpool's Pink Runaway, I wouldn't want to claim victory too early, but I believe I'm getting very close to finding out who you are. Not that I follow Roman around to figure out who he hangs out with, but the other day, I was walking on the grounds and, totally by chance, happened to see him sitting with a brunette girl.

In case you want to dig into my own identity, I'm not too tall, got short brown hair and, if you take Charms with me, you should know I'm the kid who couldn't cast Wingardium Leviosa right until mid-December. Oh, and if you take Herbology with me, I was the one who (very unwisely) put earthworms inside Professor McTavish's gloves.
