Help from a cat lover
@Paris SolielIt was the first week of September. Classes had just started and Tori had to get used to her new subjects as well as her new pet. Tori wasn't much of a cat person. She was used to taking care of animals like mice. She never knew how to take care of a cat.
While she was looking for Athena, she had a cat comb in her hand. While she was combing the cat's fur, she accidentally pulled one of its furs. When he did this, Athena hissed and moved away. Currently, she had left the common room and was looking for her cat.
"I think I made a big mistake by getting a cat. I wish I hadn't made that choice." Her clothes were covered in cat feather.care was really difficult.
While he was thinking, she saw her cat and sped up. She also saw someone else. She immediately went to the two of them.
"Athena, I finally found you. Well, I'm sorry if my cat bothered you." She spoke in a slightly apologetic tone. She didn't know if she was upset with the cat or the person in front of her as she spoke, but she had her head down

Help from a cat lover
It was free period after Paris’ first charms class of the year. She walked slowly, thinking of how she had enjoyed the class (working on engorgement charms), but it was an eye-opener as to how much she had forgotten over the summer.
I really should have remembered that wand movement; it was my favorite from last year. I’m really gonna need to step it up before transfiguration tomorrow. Better study my books tonight…
Paris furrowed her brow as she thought and absentmindedly chewed her lower lip, looking at the ground and not paying much attention to where she was going.
She blinked and in the short moment her eyes shut she felt something soft rush past her legs. Spinning round, Paris watched as a fluffy whiteish-grey cat whisked around a corner. Paris followed at a measured pace, so as not to scare it.
Paris caught the cat up into her arms and smiled, holding the cat against her chest. She thought of her cats at home and scratched the cat’s chin. The cat purred and relaxed in her arms.
Paris heard running footsteps and looked up as a Ravenclaw girl came around the corner and caught sight of them, halting when she saw the cat. Her voice sounded winded and slightly out of breath, but also concerned for Paris’ reaction to the presence of what was apparently her cat.
“Oh no, don’t worry about it! I love cats and this little girl is beautiful,” Paris reassured the girl, and rubbed the cat’s paws as she spoke. “Is she yours?”

Help from a cat lover
@Paris SolielThe girl next to the cat had multi-colored hair and dark brown eyes. For a moment, Victoria thought she was a Metamorphmagus like herself. But then she thought it might be dye in her hair.
"Yeah, I am. But... I don't know if it was a good idea... I mean, I'm not a cat person and the cat idea was really a sudden idea."
She sat down next to her. It seemed like a good idea to talk things over. She still had the cat comb in her hand. When she looked at Athena, she looked very happy with herself.
"My pet rat ran away from home this summer and maybe I'm not ready for a new animal yet. It's something I decided right away."
She spoke absently. Her mind had returned to the summer vacation. She had locked herself in her room when Vick left. Victoria stroked Athena's head thoughtfully. At this point, she realized that the girl did not even know her name and had not even introduced herself. As she thought about this, she was sure her hair was turning gray involuntarily.
"I'm so rude, I haven't even introduced myself yet. My name is Victoria. What's your name? Tori couldn't help but ask the question on her mind. "Is your hair dyed? It looks great. Are you a metamorphmagus too?
Help from a cat lover
Paris smiled at Victoria’s mention of sudden ideas, as she knew quite a bit about those herself. She nodded in acknowledgment of Victoria’s question.
“No it’s okay you’re not rude. Victoria is such a pretty name. My name’s Paris. And no, I’m not a metamorphomagus, this is just dye. But that’s so cool that you’re one!—”
She spoke quickly without a breath but realizing that she was speeding up her speech, Paris stopped herself from talking before she went rambling on her random and disjointed train of thought.
She thinks back to what Victoria had said before her question and spoke again, her words more measured now.
“I’m sorry your pet ran away; that’s really sad.” Paris’ brow furrowed in concern and empathy; as she had known the loss of pets in her own life. “What have you thought of cat ownership so far?”

Help from a cat lover
"This color suits your hair. It's a good sign that you're different from other people. Another sign is that its name is the name of a city."
She spoke thoughtfully. Normally, she spoke energetically and cheerfully, but these days, her mind was really foggy.
"I don't know much about how to take care of a cat. I've watched cat care videos on the internet, but I'm still having a hard time. Do you know what the internet means?"
She stood up and showed off her clothes, which were Victoria's cat feather. It was covered in fur. It was one of the downsides of looking after a very furry cat.
"I was scanning Athena before I came here, but I made a very wrong move and she left the common room."
She said looking at the cat comb in her hand. "Can you help me out a little? You seem to get along well with cats."
The idea of Paris helping her in this matter would be very useful to Victoria, so she hoped she would accept. Athena was lying comfortably in the girl's arms. Victoria's hair involuntarily turned pink when she saw this cuteness. Maybe they could get used to it.

Paris smiled at the conpliment. She was unused to receiving praise, and she liked that this compliment seemed to reflect her individuality.
“Yeah I know what the internet is. My mom is a muggle and that’s mostly how I grew up. The internet can be a good resourse, but often has conflicting ideas or opinions on how best to care for a cat. I have found that the best way to do it is through trial and error and seeing what works best for your particular cat.”
Paris’ interest in the topic shone through in her words, making them sound enthused and sincere.
Paris nodded to Victoria’s question, “Of course, I’d love to help! I have several cats at home and they are definitely one of my favorite animals.”
Paris rubbed Athena’s chin and held out her hand for the comb, gently brushing it through Athena’s thick and fluffy fur on her back and neck.
“I’ll show you how best to get the stomach and underside best, but do you want to try first?”
As Paris held out the cat towad Victoria, Athena gave a tiny meow at the sudden movement. Paris smiled softly at the sound; it made her miss her cats and home, which was unsusual—she hardly ever got homesick while at Hogwarts.

Help from a cat lover
Victoria was overjoyed by the girl's response. She really needed help. She sat back down next to Paris and watched intently. Athena began purring as a result of her scan. As Tori watched, she remembered the time she had scanned herself.
"Last time I tried this, she ran away. Do you think I can do it?"
She carefully picked up the cat. She picked up a comb and began to carefully comb it. Athena hissed at first when she picked it up, but when she started combing it, it began to purr.
"Am I doing it right? Which part of she's belly would be better to scan?"
She spoke with a touch of curiosity and fear. She didn't want to do anything wrong to her cat. As she scanned, she glanced at Paris occasionally, waiting for reassurance as to whether she was doing the right thing.
"I have a little difficulty with my cats daily feeding times and how much food they eat and I feel bad when they bring me dead mice. Is this normal or will I get used to it?"
While saying this, she thought that she was disturbed because her own mouse had escaped, but she wanted to get rid of this psychology.

Paris was glad to hear of her concern. It meant that despite not fully knowing what to do, Victoria truly cared for Athena and wanted to do her best to look after her. After all, it was the first step (and in Paris' mind, the most important) in being able to successfully care for an animal.
"I know you can do it. Cats are sentient and have feelings just like humans. I think it's possible that Athena wasn't sure what to think of it when it felt like you didn't know what you were doing, so she might have gotten spooked. But based on the fact that she's purring, you can tell that she wants you to keep trying." Paris nodded at Athena; the purring cat seemed content.
Paris gently flipped Athena in Victoria's arms so that her belly faced up. Athena squirmed a little, but as Paris directed Victoria's hand, she settled. "Usually in between her front legs is a good spot; her long fur will sometimes mat in her 'armpits', so it's important to keep it as untangled as possible."
Paris tried to smile reassuringly at her when Victoria would look up cautiously, as if worried that she would mess everything up, but at the same time, Paris was willing her cheeks not to flush under the girl's gaze. It was an interesting feeling to be trusted with knowledge and experience like this, especially since Paris was pretty sure this girl was at least a third year. An older girl with confidence in Paris' skill? It felt almost surreal. And maybe a tiny bit embarrassing.
Paris grinned at Victoria's comment about Athena's dead mice. It was such an endearing thing that cats would do! "Yeah that can be pretty normal for cats. It just means that they love you and they want you to have first pick. As to if you'll get used to it... I mean maybe? It's normal for cats, but some people are always disgusted by it. I personally think it's adorable but it's not for everyone." Paris laughed a little at the thought.
