Luka Antonov ─────────────────────────────.★..─────── The biggest mystery in Luka’s life is the identities of his parents. All he knows about them is that his father (Andrey) had abandoned him before he was born, and his mother, Katya, had died of dragonpox when he was only six months old. His moms, Eve and Sofia, were close friends with Katya and took him in after her untimely demise. Luka was raised in Plyos, Russia, after he was adopted, the town where his moms grew up. Eve and Sofia had known each other from a young age, both of them came from wizarding families of mixed blood status. They both attended Koldovstoretz along with Luka’s mother whom they met at the school. The two girls ended up falling in love and getting together in their sixth year at the school, but had to keep their relationship a secret from everyone in the school and even their families due to the LGBTQ community generally being looked down upon in Russia. Once they graduated from Koldovstoretz in 2005, the couple decided to come out to their immediate family members, who supported them in their relationship. On March 15, 2009, Eve and Sofia traveled to Norway and got married. Luka lived a fairly normal life; he was homeschooled by his grandmother (Sofia's mom) along with his two cousins, and had regular muggle friends. He was aware of the magical world but never saw any more of it than the spells his moms would use around the house. But when he was eight, he created magic of his own. It was a warm and sunny spring day, and Luka was walking back home after playing at the local park. He had been taunted by another boy there that day. As he walked down the trail, he spotted a bunch of little purple flowers by the edge of the path. He walked over to them and crouched down, inspecting the little flowers. He plucked one and held it in his palm. The small flower immediately began to wither at his touch. He flinched back in shock, but that soon changed to glee as he ran back home to tell his moms what had happened. Over the years, the person Luka grew close to was his grandfather, Sergei, Eve's father. He was quite stand-offish, but when he met his grandson for the first time, he promised to treat him as his own son. Sergei's wife and son had both died during the process of childbirth when Eve was thirteen. There had been a huge snowstorm in the area for the past few days, and by the time they arrived at the nearest hospital, it was too late. So he developed a strong connection to Luka as his father figure. He looks up to him and wants to be as strong, smart, and brave as his grandfather is. ───────.★..─────────────────────────────

For the 2023-2024 school year, Luka was homeschooled by his grandmother, but both of his cousins went off to either Durmstrang or Koldovstoretz. He asked his moms about why he hadn't gotten a letter saying he'd been admitted to either schools and the only explanation they would give him was that it had something to do with his father. Neither Eve nor Sofia knew much about Luka's father, but they assumed he had something to do with their son's vampiric appearance. They never said anything to Luka about it, due to the chance that they were wrong, but their best guess as to why he wasn't able to go to one of the schools was that his father had vampire blood..

He's fairly tall for his height, standing at 5'3. He has quite fair skin and his eyes are a darker shade of brown with a reddish tint to them. His dirty blonde hair falls loosely just over his ears, usually left unstyled. He has a decently muscular build, but the clothes he wears usually hides it well under layers of button-ups and sweater vests. When he's not in a sweater vest he's wearing a grandpa sweater. No matter the weather he always wears full-length pants and long sleeves, as his skin is extremely sensitive to the sunlight and will burn in minutes.

Luka had never found making friends or even just talking to people to be something he wanted to do. It's not that he doesn't know how; it's that it takes time and effort to build a good relationship with someone, and to him, the results just weren't worth it. He often comes off as cold and dismissive to others due to his simply not caring enough to be kinder with his words. It's not that he thinks he's better than anyone; his anxiety and self-doubt make sure of that, he just does not care. He doesn't have trust issues, but he does have a lack of trust in humans as a species. Gaining his trust isn't a difficult task, but it takes time, honestly, patience to get to that point. He makes a great friend once you do get past that ridiculously thick stoic front he puts up. He treasures his friends on a level comparable to his family. Those he deems worthwhile may experience boredom or fatigue as he rambles on about old Russian literature, near heart attacks when he appears behind them to ask if they like his newest sweater vest, annoyance when he talks about how he feels about Hogwarts, or even blood loss if he gets too hungry.
