Yea, he had Rascal, and then Rascal retired and stayed this past year at home back in London but I think Rascal is going to come back come Simon's sixth year

Oh, it really is! Rascal first belonged to one of Simon's best friend's, Alexa Mackenzie. When her writer decided to leave the site, she killed off her character in an accident but she saved Rascal just before meeting her fate - and Rascal made his way to Hogwarts (luckily she too lived in the Scottish Highlands) and Simon found him! Simon helped Rascal with the loss of his owner and Rascal helped Simon with the loss of his friend.
