Piérre deftly opened the door of Gryffindor commons. He had wanted to to this for a while but had not had the time to up to this point. Besides, he was feeling a little blue with all the cold and gloom that had happened ever since the ill-fated Masquerade. He wanted to make someone laugh or at least chat for a while to forget if they wanted to.

When Piérre entered the hall and closed the portrait, he found the fat lady was in her frame, and she was looking at her reflection in a handheld mirror.

”Ah, we have the troublemaker on the loose. May Godric protect us.” She said, almost exasperated.

She looked down at the first year again, squinting to point out anything wrong with Piérre’s appearance. There didn’t seem to be anything wrong with the eleven year old. His hair was ruffled playfully and his eyes were bright and verdant green, over his shoulder was slung his typical leather satchel, still a little green form the herbs he had helped Mister Bonni harvest the day before. He was the picture perfect image of an O student, even if he was a Gryffindor and not a Ravenclaw.

”A troublemaker with no trouble? Heaven protect us, he’s even wearing his uniform?

Piérre looked down at his black robes and striped red tie, holding out his arms and turning slowly, a smile creeping onto his face. He pulled his arms to himself again, clutching his schoolbooks tight.

”Yup. Ready for another exciting day of school, Miss Painting.” Piérre gave a curt bow to the portrait.

The fat lady sputtered, unsure of how to react to Piérre’s courtesy. ”Wh-What, he even has mannerisms? Who are you and what have you done with the Gryffindor boy!?” Piérre only smiled as the lady continued. ”Proper, curt, formal, and obeying the rules?!?!

Piérre nodded again, closing his eyes as he smiled wider, willing his nose to scrunch up and let his ears pique.

”Well I never... Well, you know how mischievous ones are. They start out strong, and they they burn out.” The fat lady shrugged, looking at her reflection in the mirror once again and straightening her white outfit. ”Well, run along dearest, and don’t forget the password like last time. I won’t let you in, what with Polyjuice potion that might be circling about this school nowadays. Potter, Potter, Potter...” She trailed off, rolling her eyes dramatically.

”Okay!” Piérre chirped. ”See you around!”

”Good bye, darling.”

Piérre dashed off like an intrepid schoolboy, ignoring the steps as they tried to confuse and bewilder him with their ever changing patterns. Piérre had tried to make a point of befriending over half of the stairwells, and he had had some interesting conversations with ones who complained about ‘Being walked all over’ on.

Soon, Piérre came to the main corridors, where hundreds of students were milling about, no doubt trying to find their friends or make it on time to their classes. He had been, on so many occasions, one of those individuals, worried about getting shoved against wall and abused as he had in Muggle school, but so far he hadn’t experienced such a thing, and he was quite pleased that he didn’t have to suffer like he had before finding the school of magic.

Ducking behind a pillar, Piérre loosed his red tie with one firm yank, pulling it over his head and shoving it in his left pocket. Smiling, Piérre reached into his right, and selected one of the items inside from random. Keeping his eyes closed, he tightened the new tie around his neck. When satisfied, he tucked it in his black robe like he would have with his red one, and opened his eyes, looking down at the color of the tie in question.

It was midnight blue and silver.

House Ravenclaw it was.

Humming an excerpt from The Barber of Seville, Piérre leaned into the crowd, allowing it to engulf him in its currents and carry him wherever it may throughout the school.

After a few minutes of idle wandering, Piérre finally pulled away, clenching his books tighter to his chest, ruffling his hair so that it looked borderline nerd, and approaching the closest student.

”U_um... D_do you know the way to the... uh... the History of Magic classroom?” Piérre asked in his meekest voice, being sure to slump his shoulders and avert his eyes to the ground like an embarrassed student. ”I_I was sick for a while... Missed a lot of work... Still don’t know the school well yet...” Piérre let his voice peter out, lowering his head in mock timid shame for having to talk to a student.

The corridors, a place where you could easily get yourself lost in. Although Brielle had practically the whole school memorized like the back of her hand, she still found it that sometimes she ends up in somewhere unintended.

She loved the castle, no doubt about it. It was grand.. It was marvelous. It was something, that was for sure. There were probably so many things yet to discover for her, even if she spent entire weeks looking for new nooks and crannies. Never a dull moment in Hogwarts, that was for bloody sure.

Speaking for dull moments, she spotted Piérre in a group of huddled students beside her, causing her to cock an eyebrow as she got an adjusted look at him. What's with his.. tie? She asked herself, glancing back at his face and the blue accessory back and fourth. He was a Gryffindor, she thought? She had never been that close to him, but she thought she knew him well enough to have memorized what house he was in. Now that she thought about it, she was certain he was a Gryffindor. He had said so at Maggie's movie party a while back.

As she nudged him in the shoulder as they slowly made their way through the crowded hall, Brielle whispered in his ear quietly.

"Piérre! What in gods name are you doing?!" She hissed, demanding an explanation. She thought it was funny, really- What a prank to pull, disguising yourself as a different house. She'd never seen anything like it.

Interacting with @Brielle Gray. Sorry for the really late response, I was working on Novel Month and was tight for time!

Piérre had ventured close to a cluster of what appeared to be Slytherin students which were sticking to the sides of the hallway, letting other, more frantic students who wanted to get to their classes early, get by. This was both a blessing and a curse for the young troublemaker, for while it was good that he had an easy way to escape because of the fast current of students, it also meant that he could easily be swept away if he wasn’t careful enough.

So fair he had failed to catch the attention of any students around him, and Piérre puffed out his cheeks, a little upset that nobody was questioning the little Ravenclaw student who was wandering about like a lost sheep. What fun would it be if everyone actually thought that he was a legitimate Ravenclaw?

He was about to pull away and attempt to let himself mix in with a different crowd, when he felt a light tap on his shoulder. Turning and looking up at the person who had caught his attention, he was sure to keep wide puppy eyes and an innocent demeanor. After all, he was still in pretend mode.
"Piérre! What in gods name are you doing?!"
Piérre was looking into the eyes of Brielle, the girl he had met at Maggie's movie night. He hadn’t seen her around in forever! Piérre smiled, waving brightly up at her. Bit by bit, his facade broke away. Brielle already knew his nature as a bit of a troublemaker, it wouldn’t hurt to be himself in front of her now.

”Oh, hi Bri!” He chirped, smiling in a way that caused his ears to pique childishly. ”Didn’t expect to see you here!” A truth.

The part Veela was just as lovely as all of her race tended to be, and Piérre was sure that he was getting some stares now that he was with the Veela. However, he didn’t really mind, after all, Brielle was a friend, and only a friend at that. Being as young as he was, he wasn’t exactly in the mood for a deep relationship, and after all, as far as he knew, Brielle was still with Gem, who had been rather close from what he had seen at the movie night. ”How’s Gem?” He asked, straightening his tie, ”I was just out getting some fresh air, you?”
