Veda finally reached the bathroom, and went into a stall. Thankfully no one else was inside, at least as far as she could tell. She sat on the toilet with the seat down, and just cried. One thing turned into another. It wasn't just the feeling of hurt from the bully, but she missed her mom. She missed going to school everyday and being invisible. Now, she was going to a magic school where in a few years she could learn how to physically disappear.
That cheered her up a bit. She loved it here in Hogwarts, even though some people were mean. She missed her mom, but she found some good friends along the way. "Focus on the good things," Veda thought. She thought about how much she learned about the wizarding world and how excited she was to continue on this journey.
Finally, she opened the stall and went to the sink to wash her face. Veda did just that, washing with cold water. However, when she looked up in the mirror, she saw her eyes were tinted a light blue. "Dangit!" Veda murmured out loud. She forgot, actually forgot, that she was a metamorphmagi. she started rubbing her eyes furiously, trying to get rid of the color. She still didn't quite accept this part of herself yet.

Tori walked out of the rehearsal room. She always loved listening to a student play music and if it meant making new friends, she was never going to say no to that.
While walking around the fourth floor, she stopped when she heard crying and realized that the sound was coming from the Girls' Bathroom. She thought maybe she needed help. She went there immediately.
When she went to the girls' bathroom, she saw that only one stall was closed. She knocked gently on the door, but thought that the girl would not have heard so she waited for her to come out of the bathroom. She leaned against a wall and waited for the girl to come out.
Tori saw that the girl was small for her. She was probably in her first or second year. When she looked in the mirror and saw that she was talking loudly, she came up with a theory and walked over to the girl and touched her shoulder supportively.
"Hey, are you okay? I heard you crying. I was worried and came to check on you. When I looked in the mirror, I saw that you were surprised. Are you okay? Are you a Metamorphmagus? Or something else? I mean, when you see yourself in the mirror and are surprised, I don't see any other option."

Say something smart, say something smart, "Uh." Veda murmured, then flinched at herself. Really? Thats all you could say? she thought. How much more awkward could she get?
"I-I'm fine, just, yeah. I am. I don't really know whats happening, and why I can't stop it when it happens. I'm so sorry to bother you, I didn't mean-" Veda trails off, unsure of what to say next. It felt weird to tell someone because she normally kept it a secret. Not even her closest friends knew a lot about it.
"How- I mean, uh. Do you have it? Wait, thats a silly question to ask, I'm sorry. You probably just know about it and I just overstepped and-" Veda rambles, before cutting herself off again. "whats wrong with me" she thinks, then looks at the ground.

She tried to speak in a calm and reassuring tone so as not to scare the girl. If there was a problem, she wanted to listen, and she knew he had to do it without scaring the girl.
"Yeah, I'm Metamorphmagus too, and why are you talking like that? I mean, you apologize a lot. It's always good to have a little confidence."
She saw the girl's eyes were downcast. Tori guessed it wasn't just that. Tori closed her eyes and winced so she wouldn't feel lonely. That made her red hair look like a light brown, like the girl standing next to her.
"Hey it's okay. Sometimes when you're filled with emotions there are times when you need to let it out but I have a feeling that's not the only issue. Am I right?"
She realized she hadn't met the girl yet. This was very rude, so she held out her hand and spoke in a gentle voice.
"Sorry, I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Victoria, but if you think my name is long, you can say another nickname or Lena. What's your name? I guess you're in your first year, right?"

"I'm Veda, and yeah, I'm a first year. your names really pretty," she blurted out, shaking the girls hand. "I mean, no use in saying sorry because its true," she thought. The girl had this easy, kind aura, not to mention her stunning red hair.
"Yeah, its not just this incident. I think my emotions are finally catching up to me, and I miss my mom too. But I don't know what's really happening. The nurse explained it somewhat, but I think I was in shock and I didn't fully process anything. Will it always be uncontrollable? Veda asks, wide eyed.
To be honest, she felt a little lucky. I mean, the person that heard her crying turned out to be older, have metamorphmagus, and was kind. what are the odds of that? She was going to take full advantage of the information and kindness, or at least get as much as she could before she started to bother Victoria.

While listening to Veda, Tori understood the problem a little. She remembered her own first year as she spoke. Although she didn't feel any longing for her family, learning magic was a bit difficult.
"Missing your family is a very normal feeling, but believe me, a year will pass so fast that you won't believe it, it's very normal to be sad at first. As for your Metamorphmagus ability, it changes in parallel with your own sudden emotions. For example, if you get very angry, your hair will turn black. But other than that, you can change your appearance at your own will."
Thinking it would be easier to demonstrate this, she took a mirror out of her bag and handed it to Veda.
"For example, you want to change your hair. Close your eyes and focus on the hair color you are considering."
She was trying to be helpful. "This feature can develop when you grow up. For example, right now you can only change your hair or eyes, but in the future you can make changes like cat ears or a pig's nose if you want."
She spoke in a supportive tone to comfort Veda. As she spoke, he felt like he was really growing.
"But remember, you will always be the reflection you see in the mirror. When you make friends, they will accept you that way and believe me, after a while, you will start to change your hair or eyes for your own desire."

Veda listens to Victoria's words, hanging on to each one. "Did you miss your family your first year?" she asks, curious. Tori seemed to know a lot about her feelings, so she wondered if she related personally, or just was wise beyond herself. Is that how the saying goes? Oh, whatever.
Veda nods thoughfully at the girls knowledge about her..... condition. She took the mirror Victoria offered her, and squeezed her eyes shut. Veda imagined with all her might her eyes turning brown again. When she opened them, she grinned widely.
It worked! She looked in the mirror and saw her eyes her normal color again. "Good, blue didn't suit me," She thought. Veda looked up at the mention of accepting who she was. "I guess I have been pretty hard on myself. I'll keep that in mind. I should probably tell my friends that I have metamorphmagus, huh?" she says.

@Veda Lunar"I didn't miss them that much. I always preferred to stay on the fun side of things, but when I did miss them, I could send them letters by owl whenever I wanted. If you don't know how to send an owl, I can help you with that one day if you want."
When Tori talked about her past, she remembered the mischief she had done during her freshman year. This made the girl laugh unintentionally. Maybe she could be a little more mischievous. She wrote the idea down.
"If you do this, it can be good. Real friends will accept you that way anyway, but good people don't always come your way. You have to try it and see."
She felt like a big sister when she said this. Helping Veda really made her realize that she had grown up. She didn't want to let Veda lose hope.
"Have you made any close friends during this time? It's only been a month since you started school, but have you made any close friends with anyone?"
She asked like an older sister. She felt close to Veda for no reason. Maybe she was curious because she grew up alone when she was little.

"I guess if they don't accept it I know their true colors," Veda thought out loud, contemplating the older girls words. Victoria seemed really sweet, like the kind of girl you can rely on when you're crying. Kind of like a sister.
Veda never had a sibling. Ever since she can remember, her mom and dad have been separated. She grew up with her mom, but she never dated or remarried. At least, not to Veda's knowledge. Veda, being a shy kid, never was the one to ask "Can I have a sister?" like so many kids do.
I mean, I've made a few. not a lot, and no one i really connected with, you know? Like friends I can hang out with, but not share secrets with or anything."

As she spoke, she thought about every possibility that Veda could experience. After all, life didn't always go as planned. Tori had experienced this.
"We are still at the beginning of the school year. As conversations and meetings continue, your relationships with your friends will improve."
She spoke in a hopeful tone, trying to keep her tone relaxed. "Even though we're not that close, you've made a new friend now. Can I show you something?"
She examined Veda's appearance a little more closely. She closed her eyes and focused on her hair, skin color and eyes and shortened her height by 3 cm. When she opened her eyes and looked in the mirror, her hair was a little darker than she thought it would be and her wavy hair was puffy and she still had freckles. She started to laugh involuntarily.
"I guess I still can't do this whole appearance-changing thing."
She returned herself to normal, but her hair was still a little puffy. She liked this state, but she realized that it would take time for her to develop this ability.
"When you grow, your talent develops with you."
