Pet Blue Eyes & Shifting Skies

Isla hated shopping, maybe the amount of things someone could need to survive a year at school bugged her, but the Diagon Alley wasn't among her favorite places.

Her brother found a way to make her go with their parents to shop a pet for her Why would I need one? I'm good on my own, she wondered, today her outfit was simple, an off shoulder pink shirt and a black skirt. The natural brunette now had eyes so dark they almost seemed wine, rather than her normal chocolate brown ones, and her hair, no longer brunette but rather milky chocolate. "Stupid metamorphmagus condition" She muttered, without noticing how her brother was leading her to the Magical Menagerie.

Lost in thought, the black-eyed girl let her brother lead her, the doorbell making her snap her head to her brother, confused at how the single sound had made every animal look at them. Her brother sensed her uneasiness and quickly left the shop.

With no other option, Isla started to wander around the rather big place, earning curious glazes from the shopkeepers, she didn't notice, too focused on the group of ferret playing around in a cage, but one, a rather small white ferret. The ferret was laying down, but its blue eyes were staring at Isla, whose eyes shifted again, no longer black but blue, the same shade of blue as the ferret's.

She stepped closer to the cage, every ferret's attention now on her, but the girl just had eyes for the white smaller one, she slowly opened the cage, even thought they could bite her, and gently approached her hand to the ferret, it seemed younger.

Isla didn't care where her brother had gone, right now, she had just decided what she wanted, even though her parents would have liked an owl better, she was sure she wanted the ferret. A soft dim of light started to leak through the windows, it was late, the lights in the street lighting themselves up.

"C'mon, little ferret, I want to get you home with me" She said, almost like if the ferret could understand her, she laughed, "Like it understands me" She said to herself, scoffing. The scoff died on her throat as the white creature slowly approached her, wrapping itself in her forearm.

She let out an exited squeak, gently petting the ferret. She walked over to the shopkeepers, "How much for it?" She asked. "Her" The old woman corrected her.

"Alright then, how much for her?" After the woman had answered, and Isla had paid for the ferret, she started to think on a name for it, "What about Luna? Or Marshmallow? Or Pearl?" She wondered, leaving the store
