A Sporty Evening
Stephan's firsthand experiences with the wizarding world were certainly far more than most muggles would ever experience, but compared to most of the students who resided in non-muggle families, his encounters were little to none. His mother was a witch in her own right, as well as his brother, but his mother utilized little magic and much preferred to keep up with muggle happenings than wizarding events. His family never watched Quidditch events on the television, instead crowding around the living room area to watch less magical and definitely less wizardly sports. He most certainly adored those muggle sports. He loved the action, the intensity, the fun. The young boy knew he needed more of it amongst the constant stream of assignments that kept coming the short first-year's way.
The idea came to him when he settled down in the Gryffindor Common Room. After he had deposited his fair share of homework from the week in the boys' dormitory, he slumped into a chair. There, he saw a ball in the very corner of the room. It was plain, discreet, yet unlike any that were used in any sports he was accustomed to. It resembled something more similar to a dodgeball, really. Stephan eyed the room. It seemed about as public as any of the chess tables or books lining the shelves. He scrambled up out of his chair and picked it up. Looking behind him to see if anyone would object, starkly claiming that it was theirs, he found no respondents. It clearly had no name on it and was most definitely not someone else's. Blue eyes gaze back towards the ball. Then, towards the door. Soon enough he found himself strolling right out of there and out into the courtyard, jubilant with anticipation.
Already so excited to play, he came up blank when he thought of any sports he knew that he could play alone. None that would be much fun, at least. The first sport that came to his mind was soccer, a game he played quite a lot at school. But that required at least two people, and he knew that he himself wasn't two seperate entities. Looking around, he finally spotted someone. Running up to them, slightly out of breath, he asked, "Hey, know how to play soccer? I can't play it alone."

A Sporty Evening
Once Adlai was approached by the boy and he asked his question her eyes lit up. “Do I!” She exclaimed her eyes darting to the ball. She loved sports, her father had surrounded her with them since she was born. Mainly exposing her to tennis and gymnastics but of course she’d know soccer from school.
“What kind of rules are you playing by?” She asked knowing that not everyone played soccer the same. She learned that the hard way when her family moved to Wales from Iceland. The memory of her classmates yelling at her, saying she was playing the wrong way still haunts her. However she’s learned and now makes sure to ask questions.
Adlai looked down at her appearance. She wasn’t wearing pants and the shoes she had on weren’t fit for sports, she’d have to change before they started to play, that is if he wanted to her to play. She knew she must have brought some sporting clothes, after all she couldn’t spend her whole life in skirts and dresses like some women do.
Adlai then looked at the field. Since it was close to winter time it was soggy but that wouldn’t stop her. She’d just have to be careful where she placed her foot.

Once he heard the words, "Do I!", his face lit up with a broad smile. He wasn't sure how many students at the wizarding school were all too aware of muggle-happenings, especially when it came to a more trivial thing such as sports. Stephan knew that there were plenty of people coming from muggle families that attended Hogwarts, but he couldn't be certain that any others would be as interested in sports as he was. When he heard that the girl in front of him was glad to play, he could help but show how glad (and slightly relieved) he was.
When she inquired about the rules, Stephan thought for a moment. He's always played soccer the same way: the way that his school played it. Two goals, two teams, one ball. The only rule scuffles he had ever experienced was other boys lovingly yelling whether or not the goalie was in the crease, and there wasn't enough people playing to worry about goalies. Wonder if there's, like, wizard-soccer! Maybe there's three or four nets, even more than one ball! There'd probably be magic, too, coming to think of it. Maybe that's where the confusion is!
"Alright, so obviously we have one ball. You're your own team, I'm my own team. Let's see..." he looked around the field, before dropping the ball and dashing to the other side. Using his shoe, he drew a line in the muddy ground, splattering his black school shoe with lovely patches of brown. "This'll be my goal! If the ball makes it past the line, then a goal is scored," he nodded, affirming his own words to himself, "You can make your own goal over there!" he pointed back across the field, before he sprinted back, grabbed the ball, and placed it in the middle of the field, right where you would assume the game would start.
"Come over here when you're done! We'll count off, then it's free reign." He said loudly, messing around with the ball while he waited. Realizing the whole time he's just been using the word "you" to refer to her, he cupped his hands around his mouth and asked, "By the way, what's your name? I feel weird just calling you, 'you!'"

@Stephan WisniewskiAdlai nodded as the boy explained the way they were to play the game. It was simple and she liked simple. If she had to remember a whole rule book she was sure to back out of his offer immediately, even if it did seem rude. However her head was already throbbing from having to remember what on earth the magical currency was and how many coins could equal one coin!
"By the way, what's your name? I feel weird just calling you, 'you!'"
“Oh! I’m Adlai, Adlai Rod.” She said smoothing out the wrinkles in her skit, leaning back to make sure she wasn’t slouching and put her hand out to the boy. “And you are?” She asked thinking it only right to return the question. After all she didn’t want to call him just ‘you’ either.
Most of her unconscious habits she had learned from her mother. Especially nervous habits such as lip biting and the twiddling of her fingers, some reason nail biting wasn’t one of them.
But especially when she smoothed her skirt and leaned back. Her mother had done, her grandmother had done it, her great grandmother had done and so on...
As to why? Well that was simple, their mother’s had all bagged at them about first appearances and that they shouldn’t slouch.
OOC: Sorry for the late reply, I was on the road all day.
