A Seat On The Train Closed

Theresa hugged her bags closer, this was all so confusing. Her family had followed the directions from that strange letter, going to the "Leaky Cauldron" pub. There were so many... witches and wizards, they must have been called, they had the same abilities as her!

None of them could figure out where they had to go next, luckily there were a number of people who were happy to help them. They were taken through the back of the pub and out into an alley, the wizard had tapped some kind of code into the bricks and suddenly the bricks moved to create a path. After that they wandered from store to store, using the list provided in her acceptance letter to figure out what they needed to buy.

A few hours later she was on the train, she had managed to find an empty compartment where she would be able to process everything that had happened. Last month she had received a letter telling her that her powers were normal, that she could do magic! And now she was sat on a train, on her way to a magic school where she would learn about a world that she never knew existed. Underneath the fear and confusion, she was excited and happy. She finally had a chance to explore what she could do.

May was in the train. It was already moving. She had all her bags. They were so heavy, that she seemed like a penguin carring them. It was such a tiring day, but that couldnt stop her smile on her face. Well, she felt bad too, and sad. Leaving her parents was difficult for her tho. She could see their face, when she went to the other train to London. But, when she arrived there, they said that she would have to do a test. But the problema was, that May didin't know anything about magic.

She was trying to find a comparment for herself, to write in her top secret diary. But all of them were full. None of them were even with just one person in it. Oh, no, she was wrong. After searching in all the train, she finded a comparment with only one person, but May was shy, and scared of anything. She was even more scared of asking the girl there if she could take a seat at this comparement. what if she was mean? If she was she could be in Slytherin. How did she know that? Well, May was this type of intelligent girl that was such a bookworm that she had only books in her in her Trunk. May stayed there, with all her bags, waiting for a response from the girl.

Theresa glanced up, there was a girl standing in the doorway, she looked almost scared. Clutching her bags like a lifeline, watching her from the doorway. She smiled, gently asking her "Would you like to sit down?" She moved her bag from the opposite seat. Theresa understood the fear of the unknown-she had been feeling it herself moments before.

It was surprising how much the other girl had been carrying with her, she had much more than the letter had specified. Theresa had managed to fit it all in a single suitcase. Thinking about it again, she probably had some things that she wanted to bring from her home. She would have too, but she wasn't sure what she was allowed to bring.

She shook her head, no need to think about that now. It was very possible that she was about to meet her first friend. Turning in her seat, She smiled at the other girl as she asked "so this is my first year, I'm pretty nervous. Is it yours too?" It would make things so much easier for her if she had a friend going into the school.

Theresa smiled at the girl and waited for her response.
