Donny couldn't hold it back. He might as well have casted the spell on himself, for he was laughing uncontrollably hard. The way Jack fidgeted around, and howled with laughter must have been too much for the young Hufflepuff.

"Ha Ha Ha!"

Donny howled, holding his own stomach and trying to push out words. "Y-you fell-f-for it!" he laughed, his glasses falling off the edge of his nose as he screwed up his face. Donny grabbed hold of himself, still giggling and grinning at the helpless first year. "Oh, alright! I've had my turn!" he said, as he drew his wand again. He was going to play fair, just as long as he could have his fun! At least he wasn't the infamous Kaegen Deathmote who didn't mess around with spells as kindly as Donny. He pointed his wand at Jack-

"Finite Incantatem!"

He said, casting the spell upon Jack. It was the counter-spell for minor curses and hexes, so as long as he had this, he could pretty much undo many of the spells that would be potentially cast in this friendly duel. The bolt of light softly approached Jack, and seemed to suck any presence of hexing in him. "Your welcome!" Donny said jokingly, pulling Jack up by his hand. He stood back and laughed, his wand arm on his hip. "BEAT THAT!" he announced...

That was anything but funny. Jack's sides still hurt from the spell. Revenge was all he had on his mind, and no dancing feet spell would cut that. Hmm...he could make him float. Maybe some green sparks could be effective? Suddenly a rather evil idea struck the boy. Fire. Oh, how he loves fire. He knows that he can still put it out, but it might just give his elder a good fright.

A small chuckle escaped the boy. "You're very funny, but maybe next time think about the consequences." Jack reared back and punched Donny directly in the shoulder. This would make a great distraction. With his off-hand, he held his cherry wood wand. Under his breath, he whispers, "Incendio..." he flicked his wrist in a flame shape, before aiming directly at the edge of the boy's Hufflepuff robe.

Jack was immediately prepared to put out the fire, but he was excited to see his new play pal react. The fire was obviously dangerous, but with their abilities, it would be a null point. The first year huffle grinned wildly as he withdrew a couple of steps, and raised his wand so Donny could see. Also for the record, Jack was absolutely prepared to pay for any damages that his elder would sustain.

Donny finished laughing abruptly and totally forgot to put his wand at the ready, when it happened like that. He felt the punch on his shoulder, an obvious distraction. And- Incendio. He heard the words well. The flame shot right out of the end of Jack's wand, and hit the edge of Donny's work robes. It sat for a while, and then shot up, the bright light glinting in Jack's eyes. It seemed as though he really was trying to gain vengeance, and with a rather dangerous spell too. Donny did the only thing he thought of doing in the unexpected moment. It all came out-

"Oh-ee-ii-FIRE!"  He said, or yelled rather awkwardly, hoping and jumping on one foot. He blew with his lips at nothing in particular, and waved his arms in circular motions, stomping his foot, and attempting to put the hot flames out. "Oooh! Ouch ouch!" he said, sucking his teeth, and finally, though very much embarrassing, began to roll about the floor. He'd learned in muggle school that you were supposed to stop, drop, and roll, in this situation-but seeing as he was in Hogwarts with an array of spells and other options, he must've looked quite dumb. But the flames stayed still. He saw someone in the corner of his eye coming towards him... @Andrew Vance  , @Emerly Pine, and @Erik Tharaldson

It was kind of a complicated story how he'd ended up walking to class in the company of not only the owner of the pet rat he'd encountered during his first Quidditch game, a pleasant sort of fellow named Andrew Vance, but also perhaps his biggest nightmare, a somewhat classist Pure-blood by the name of Erik Tharaldson. He wondered how on earth he'd managed to happen upon two such wildly different acquaintances, nevertheless Emerly at the moment didn't want to question it too much. Maybe Erik looked past their blood statuses? He could only hope so.
The trio entered the classroom in quick succession of each other. Two Hufflepuffs and a number of other students who had just arrived for the next class or lingered from the last were strewn about the chairs and desks.
Actually, it appeared that one of those Hufflepuffs was...
rolling on the ground?
His jaw dropped and mind emptied. Where were the teachers? Emerly quickly snapped to attention, catching sight of what appeared to be a bucket of water by a mop by the door where they were standing. Without thinking, he instinctively bent to pick it up, and, purse-lipped and glare-eyed, strode over and splashed its entire contents over the Hufflepuff. That was one enormous bucket of water.
He knelt and looked to make sure he was fully extinguished. Thus convinced, he stood up and glared at the other students, particularly one who appeared to be his friend, yet another Hufflepuff who was standing a little ways away.

Entering the classroom with Erik and Emerly, Andrew sat down at one of the desks and opened his DADA textbook, hoping to review a bit for his upcoming lesson before the class started.

It was then that a noise, coming from two Hufflepuff boys - he recognized by their yellow-trimmed robes, once his eyes snapped up from the page to stare in their direction - interrupted his concentration.

"Seriously? This is a classroom," Andrew grumbled to himself, more or less to his companions as well, rolling his eyes slightly at the two Badgers' obnoxious behavior as he watched the "duel" unfold. More like a showoff attempt at roughhousing around with spells. As hard as Andrew tried to regain his focus on the page, the background ruckus certainly wasn't helping him absorb any of it, only to further steep his annoyance until it finally boiled over.

"Oh-ee-ii-FIRE!"

The Hufflepuff's alarm was loud enough to startle the attention of everyone in the room, including Andrew's, who had had enough of the disruption.

"Hey!" Andrew slammed his book down on the tabletop, calling out sharply to the two boys, even as the dark-haired one [Donny] was rolling around on the floor, trying to smother the flames of Incendio on his robe. "If you don't mind, some of us are trying to study, here." Andrew glowered in disapproval.

Whether or not Emerly did it out of sympathy for his fellow Slytherin or out of concern for the Hufflepuff, Andrew was almost taken aback when Emerly briskly strode over without a word, tossing a bucket of water on top of Donny.

Well. At least that was entertaining. Andrew flashed a grin - a more sheepish one in appreciation at Emerly before turning it into something more smug in satisfaction at Donny, now looking like a wet dog drenched in a puddle of water.

"You know you could've used the Extinguishing Charm on yourself," Andrew pointed out matter-of-factly at Donny, with a subtle condescending tone that would easily pass for one of ridicule. He remained seated at his desk, not bothering to stand up unless it required him to spend more energy than necessary in settling this matter. As much as Andrew hated being a party-pooper, if no one else was going to restore order in the classroom, which he felt rightly justified to do so, then it looked like he was going to have to step in and do it himself. Honestly, he was no House-biased Slytherin, but Hufflepuff or not, he at least expected common courtesy from the two boys [Donny and Jack] for respecting the rules of etiquette inside the classroom.

Erik wouldn't have pictured himself ever sitting next to two of his fellow housemates that weren't in the slightest pure of blood. If anyone would have told him this he would've laughed in their faces, but here he was and how he hated it. He never should've started talking to them before he knew they both had tainted bloodlines and were not worth his time. Luckily for him, though two Hufflepuff goons seemed to be taking it out on each other. He had no idea why they were attacking each other with spells, but he enjoyed it. Especially when one of them started to set the other guy on fire. Yes! Make him burn!, he yelled at the pair. Erik laughed so loud when he saw the guy in flames drop to the floor and started rolling around. This was the funniest thing he had seen in weeks! He even had to wipe a tear out the corner of his eyes because of it.

Out of nowhere one of his fellow Slytherins poured a bucket of water over him. Erik jumped up and went over to him. Hey! I was enjoying that! What's wrong with you? Why would you help a muggle?, he spat out the word like it had left a bad taste in his mouth. He looked back at the pair of Huffles as he went on all matter of factly. It doesn't matter. Now it seems like these two wanted to have a duel. What do you guys say, huh? You two Huffles against us three? I'm sure you guys can manage, right? The werewolf didn't wait for any of them to reply as he clapped in his hands. Excellent! Erik drew his blackthorn wand and aimed it at the curly haired Huffle as he spoke: Slugulus Eructo! Get them boys! He grinned at the sight in front of him. The Norwegian then looked back at his housemates. What are you waiting for? Do something!

Donny had already partially put out the flames upon his robes when he saw a flash of green from someones robes, and a large bucket of- SPLASH!

It happened too soon. A slytherin boy had dumped a bucket over water over him, leaving him sopping wet and cold. He froze for a second, and wiped the remnants of the soapy mixture from his face and mouth. He shivered, and began to stand up, his hand on the floor for support. He wasn't sure whether to thank the boy or not, because another slytherin boy had decided it was a hilarious laughing matter. Donny stood up and looked at the blonde slytherin who had strode over beside the water bucket boy.
"Hey! I was enjoying that! What's wrong with you? Why would you help a muggle?"
He said almost fluently. Donny looked at him with disgust as he began to ramble on. Now Donny was shivering, not because of the water now, but because he was shaking with anger. He put all matters aside, and shoved passed the water bucket boy. He was almost nose to nose with the slytherin, as he began to speak.

"You amused? Thought that was funny did 'ya?" Donny exclaimed, still sopping wet and standing in a puddle. He then looked at the rest of the group of slytherins who had arrived. "You all trying to prove something! Huh! You classist jerks!" He announced, eyeing every one of them. He was heated as adrenaline rushed through his body. He began to say something else, when it just happened. The classist kid spat some words to his comrades, and then-

Donny found himself clutching his stomach as he lurched forward, a slimy, green colored creature fell out of his mouth. He looked over at Jack. he didn't expect this. But he did need some help. He fell backwards, still sopping wet, as he tried to grab for his wand in-between vomiting slugs! A duel? A duel was sugar coding it! THIS, was on!

I think Jack or anyone else is posting next. And the "Water Bucket Boy" is referring to Andrew!

See... Jack was of the mindset that if he had never been hurt by something in the past, and subconsciously he was basically invincible to it. Thus he assumed anybody else would not be harmed as well. The folly of youth was strong in this one. Ever since he had learned the fire making charm, he had wanted to use it. The firebug he was at heart had come out in full force. However, Donny's reaction to his little spell was not what he had expected, and rather than calmly using a spell to extinguish the charm he had to 'stop, drop, and roll' as muggles so aptly tough their children.

In a series of events that Jack was had somewhat hard-pressed to follow. First rolling, then a random Slytherin with a pail of water, quickly followed by a snarky remark by some blood classist arse, and finally a spewing of slugs. Anybody could see this was a recipe for disaster. How did this self-righteous prick think he was? Making Donny blow sluggy chunks like that! Also, what is that spell, and how do I get my hands on it? Jack thought idly, before catching Don's look for backup. The boy was used to getting in scraps back in Dublin, and that look was universal for 'Slug this lad in the gob', or something akin to it.

With a flourish, he raised his cherry wood wand, and gave Donnovan a knowing nod. This haughty taughty snake was going down! "Verdimillious!" The wand's tip was directed directly at Blonde boy{Erik} who had just cast that slug spell on his Huffle brother! This is war!

"Yes! Make him burn!"
Emerly had barely heard the blonde Slytherin beside him. Bucket emptied and crisis avoied, Emerly was glaring around and didn't have the emotional capacity left to be shy, sheepish, or sorry that he'd dumped water on the Hufflepuff, not because he was mad at any person in particular, but because he was distressed someone had been lit aflame and folks were staring instead of helping the glasses-wearing Hufflepuff. Emerly sighed and put the pail down with a hollow noise, just as Erik spoke, "Hey! I was enjoying that! What's wrong with you? Why would you help a muggle?"
Emerly looked at Erik as if he had insisted the sky was made of cheese, "I am a muggle! Half a muggle, anyway!" the words left Emerly's lips before he could stop them. They had all started talking a while ago, but once it became obvious Erik was set in his ways about thinking both Andrew and him were beneath him, Emerly found himself wanting to change Erik's mind.
"Slugulus Eructo! Get them boys!" At any rate, maybe the blonde Slytherin was too caught up in his train of thought to have heard him.
"Oh my GOODNESS!" Emerly exclaimed, "Are you okay?" he wandered forward to Donnovan, fully intending to guide him to the hospital wing. A flash of green sparked to life and Emerly had to duck to the ground. Some of the students were already looking at the unfolding altercation, exclaiming or cheering it on. Emerly looked back with surprise at Erik, to see if it would hit, and hoping it wouldn't. Maybe it was a bit unhelpful of him to duck, but Emerly didn't know what else to do, all he could say was, "Watch out!"

Whatever. Andrew maintained a deadpanned expression, not reacting the slightest bit offended towards Erik's remarks. Emerly was new to it all. Andrew had been at Hogwarts for little over a year and could say he had been through the worst of what Hogwarts had to offer in terms of classist pure-blood students, especially being sorted into Slytherin - the House most notorious for prejudice against Muggle-borns like himself. Of course he had been depressed and sensitive about it in the beginning, but over time, Andrew had become desensitized and simply learned not to take it personally anymore.

Andrew let Donny have his rant, expecting the two Hufflepuffs to blow off some steam for having their duel disrupted. Perhaps if it was just him and Emerly, they could have straightened out the situation more calmly. But with Erik around - Andrew quickly realized - those odds were virtually zero.

Raising a skeptical eyebrow at Erik's proposal for a duel, there was hardly time for words to leave Andrew's mouth before Erik speedily shot Donny with the Slug-vomiting curse, startling Andrew as his eyes widened.

"Oy, what's with you?" Andrew sprang to his feet behind the desk, shooting Erik with a stare of disbelief. So much for trying to avoid a fight. Apparently dueling was the only language Erik and the two Huffles could speak! Which meant Andrew was going to have to communicate on their level to be able to reason with them, so he could stop this from escalating any further.

Within milliseconds of Jack's "Verdimillious!", Andrew had whipped out his wand in gunslinger fashion, pointing it straight at the Hufflepuff.

"Flipendo!" Andrew shouted, his incantation overlapping Jack's. Three syllables was shorter than five… If his spell shot faster than Jack's, Andrew intended to knock the Hufflepuff boy off his feet (and hopefully some sense into him as well), which would perhaps throw off Jack's aim at the last second, for the jet of green sparks to barely miss hitting Erik.

For the record, Andrew wasn't jumping in to "save" or "protect" Erik from harm, only to separate both sides of screeching toms from each other so he could try and cool the situation. If circumstances were different, Andrew would've enjoyed watching Erik get blast in the face with Verdimillious.

"Give it a rest, alright?" He glared at Erik and the two Hufflepuffs, stepping in between them. "Listen, we're not here to get in a fight or anything," Andrew attempted to explain. "Well, maybe he is." He gestured with a head tilt in Erik's direction. "But can't we just-?" He cut off with a weary, exasperated sigh, wishing he could get back to reviewing his textbook before class started. "Can't we do this after class? You guys wanna duel, we'll do it in the courtyard or something. After Slug-boy's all cleaned up." He glanced over at where Donny was throwing up slugs onto the floor. A mix of disgust and contempt crossed Andrew's face, devoid of his usual feelings of sympathy. Perhaps the Hufflepuff did deserve it a little, for overreacting and getting all up in their faces earlier.
