Calling All Pilgrims!
Open to all students! Update: Date changed to never
Info: Here!
Donny was really bored. So bored in fact, that he decided it was the perfect day to have a little picnic gathering. And what a better day to gather and eat, than Thanksgiving day. He'd arranged for everyone to bring a dish and chill down near the forbidden forest for an evening to remember. Plus, his Halloween party was a flop, so he thought he'd cheer himself up, and try one more time. He walked down to the grounds from the Hufflepuff commons, his striped scarf, and thick robes accompanying him. He came upon a few picnic tables, which should have been enough for the few people that were likely to show up, if any showed up at all. But-hey! Maybe he could make some more friends? He didn't know, besides, he really just wanted to get out of homework and studying, and actually do something with his life.
His took his pet rat "Spot" out of his robes pocket. "Maybe I can get you some scraps afterward, okay?" he said, nuzzling his nose, and placing him back into the warmth of his pocket. Donny sighed, maybe someone will show up? He put up a sign in the great hall, maybe that was enough. He sat at one of the picnic tables and sighed. "Calling all Pilgrims..." he said solemnly.

A thanksgiving... party? Although Brielle didn't quite understand it, she still thought of it as an excuse to get out of her dorm. Although the dormitory of Pansy Parkinson was beautiful inside and out, it get's a bit crammed in there, with all the girls chit-chatting away while Bri sat on her bed and simply observed. It was a boring space, she'd tell you that.
Although the air had been a bit nippy, cold enough to see her breath form infront of her, she payed no mind to it and decided to go to the picnic anyway. She figured it would make a fine memory, and an even better moment. As she dressed herself in a silky white dress with a fluffy over coat to go with it, she was already out the door, disregarding all the chatter as to where she was going out to. The flier had said to meet at the grounds at 3, though it had only been 2:30 when she had left.
She figured Donnovan would be there, after all; the host had surely been setting up hadn't he? She would just have to wait and see, no need to guess at things she thought. As Brielle walked down the hall, she seemed to look as if she had practiced her stride for years, her hands neatly folded and her steps in an easy rhythm. She looked like she meant business, that was for sure.
As she reached the small little area with a few scattered picnic tables, Brielle smiled to herself. It was a cute little spot, if she did say so herself. She then spotted a boy holding a rat in his hand, causing her to rush up to him.

Donny sat and waited there for the next 45 minutes or so, not so hopeful that the party would kick off or anything. He sighed. Maybe he should have shut it all down? Maybe he should have tried a little harder when passing out flyers? Or maybe he's just overthinking everything. No matter what he was thinking, he sat and waited, snacking on the pumpkin pie he brought without notice that a white figure approached him.
Said a girl dressed in a silky white dress. Donny was taken by surprise. He didn't expect...well this! He stood up, and wiped the slum look off his face. "Er, yeah! Um, the party?" he said awkwardly, a grin on his face. "Well duh, yeah! Um, anyways...thanks for coming!" he said, tossing his arms up at the non extravagant backdrop. "Well, wanna help set up?" he asked, totally forgetting he'd brought a yellow tablecloth, (leftover from his Halloween party flop) and some plates. He totally didn't expect a guest this early, or any guests at all for that matter. He backed up and picked up one of the few boxes he'd brought containing the "party favors"."Hey, this is the Thanksgiving picnic, right?"

When Teiki noticed a sign for a Thanksgiving feast, she quickly started forming ideas of what to bring. While she had lived in France, her mother was American and had brought some of the holidays over. So, in turn, Teiki celebrated two Independence Days. But that wasn't important. What was important was food. She had the house elves get the materials, but finding a clean space and a plate, she made mini sandwiches of different varieties. Whether it would truly feed everyone was a mystery, but she enjoyed giving a little something to the picnic.
She arrived a little early, about 20 to 15 minutes before the party, to find two had already came before her. A boy in robes, holding a pet cat. She had the vague idea that she might've seen him around the common room, but didn't think they had ever talked. The other girl was wearing a beautiful dress, which made Teiki debate her decision of a t-shirt and jeans. But she mentally shrugged, deciding that it was unimportant. She smiled and waved at the two.
"Hi! Sorry I'm early. Thanksgiving party? I made some sandwiches." She nodded at the tray she was holding, wrapped in tin foil. She quickly placed it down on one of the picnic tables.

Lusia's cloak floated behind her smoothly as she round the corner, like a flag underwater. Feeling a draft, she shivered, pulling her collar farther up her neck. A Thanksgiving party? This shall be interesting..., thought the young Slytherin, a hint of a smile curving into her lips. She had just finished a day's worth of studying crammed into three hours, something she was used to but still felt tired after, so she had decided to find something exhilarating to do. Lusia recalled a certain poster in one of the many halls and decided to see what was going on now.Interacting with @Teiki Laurent.
She swiftly made her way through the castle, heading to one of the doors leading outside. The fresh would be great, since she had been stuck in the building for so long. But Lusia was currently wondering if maybe she should've brought something, like the flier had asked. She wasn't the best cook or baker but an attempt probably would've been appreciated.
Lusia pushed the door open and narrowed her eyes at the sunlight before ducking her head. She stepped down the stairs and made her way towards where the party would be held, near the cluster of trees close to the Forbidden Forest.
Several people were already there, talking and perhaps eating, which Lusia was more focused on doing. Seeing the bright colors of fall that themed the little event the young girl wondered if maybe she should've dressed to fit. Underneath her cloak, which was black as night, she wore deep purple sweater and black jeans, completed with black boots that reached her calves, her usual style. But Lusia didn't change for anyone except herself...and sadly her father.
Lusia walked up to the table, readjusting her eye patch over her ear. There was a boy with something moving in his pocket, a girl in pretty white dress, and a girl carrying a plate of sandwiches.
Hungry, the Slytherin approached the latter, smiling politely. “May I ask, what kind of sandwiches are these?” After gazing around at all of the faces briefly, she added, “Do you know who's hosting this party? I'm afraid it didn't say as much on the poster.”

Donny had not yet finished his conversation with the girl in the silky dress, before two more party goes showed up. He set down his box, as a girl with long, dark hair approached him. She also seemed to be the first of the guests to actually bring a dish to this Thanksgiving party, so that was very pleasant indeed.
The girl said. Donny smiled, and thought of his answer. "Oh, yes of course! This is the party!" he said warmly. "Here-" he said, motioning for her to let him take the tray of sandwiches. "These look amazing! Let me just set up the table first, if you early birds want to help. I just have a few table cloths, and some dinnerware." He said, setting the tray down and motioning again towards the boxes. He definitely didn't expect people to be arriving this early, but he couldn't complain, at least they did arrive unlike his Halloween flop the month prior. Just then, he noticed another goer had arrived in a long thick cloak. They didn't look very mused, or happy to say the least, but Donny could try talking to her? She'd just finished talking to the girl with the sandwiches. Then he heard her ask who the host of the party was. "Oh-it's just me!" Donny said. He did have to admit, the poster wasn't very detailed, but he didn't really expect this many people to arrive, or notice it at least. "I kind of just-whipped it up you know, the poster. I didn't really expect...oh never mind! Thanks for coming!" he said, trying not to be pessimistic."Hi! Sorry I'm early. Thanksgiving party? I made some sandwiches."

Saoirse had been wandering when she saw a poster advertising about a dainty thanksgiving party. At first she payed little attention to it, but as the day went on, she was leaning more and more towards going. She hated to admit it, but she needed to be more social. By the time she had worked up enough courage and will power to go, it was only about an hour and a half till the party. She made up her mind to bake a sweet potato casserole.
While the casserole baked, she threw on a long red and black flannel and some jeans. She found her nearest shoes and put them on, not even caring if they went with her outfit. She pinned back a bit of her hair, and rushed to grab her scarf, almost forgetting to get the casserole. When she finally had the food packed, she grabbed her satchel and rushed out the door. Saoirse held her dish as carefully as she could manage, determined not to make a clumsy mess of herself. Once her casserole was secure, she scurried along the school grounds till she saw the gathering.
She walked forward without hesitation, a big smile on her face. "Hello, I'm Saoirse, but I go by cookie. This must be the thanksgiving party I heard about, right? I brought a sweet potato casserole." The other students who had attended didn't look too intimidating, maybe she could make a friend or two.

Teiki smiled softly as the host addressed the girl asking her about the sandwiches. She thanked him as he took the platter before turning back to the girl.
"Well, I made a bit of a variety because I could and all. There's grilled cheese, tuna salad, cucumber and cream cheese. Oh, and turkey and cheese." She blushed. On the platter, the different varieties seemed to be placed into quadrants. The four sandwich types were then split into two, vegetarian and non-vegetarian, the plate visible as a dividing line between the two OOC: Sorry if this description doesn't make sense.... She realized that she had done a variety partly because she was bored, and partly because she wasn't sure what others would like. She waved as another girl joined the group, happy that others had noticed the sign.
"Your dish sounds amazing!" She was glad that someone else was also wearing jeans. She waved, before turning her attention back to prep work. She quickly grabbed a tablecloth spreading it out on one of the tables before looking up again. Whoever was holding the food, she would indicate for them to put it on the tablecloth, while she started putting some utensils out. If another table was already being set up before she started helping, she would help work on that table, assuming that the people who had joined so far could probably sit at one table.

Her query was answered by the host himself. The only boy in the party explained about his hastily planned event before taking the tray of sandwiches from the girl. Lusia eyebrows rose slightly, since she actually wanted to take one, but then the girl told her about the types of sandwiches she had made. They all sounded good enough to Lusia, at this point she would eat anything as long as it satisfied her appetite.
“They all sound very well delicious,” she replied, noticing the girl blush. She thought it was pretty creative but before she could say this or ask another question, the girl went over to talk to another person joining the party.
Lusia pursed her lips. She walked over to the table and grabbed two of the sandwiches, one of turkey and cheese and the other of cucumber and cream cheese. She hated seafood and grilled cheese didn't sound as good as the rest at the moment.
The newcomer, dressed in a red flannel, had came with a casserole dish. Lusia agreed with the girl except that it smelled as good as it sounded. She watched from afar as everyone talked amongst each other and set up more tables. She had her own hands full, but really she didn't feel like helping at the moment, she'd rather people watch.
Lusia was ready for the games to start, the ice-breakers. Even though only about six people had joined that was enough if her own opinion to get things started. She wondered what the plans were for the event besides just eating, conversing, and giving thanks for whatever they could conjure up. Her family didn't celebrate Thanksgiving but Lusia had been curious enough to research about it.
She sat down in a chair and laid back, crossing her legs. Lusia continued to eat her sandwiches, wondering what they were to do eventually.

It was all happening so very fast! Students from all around gathered and came up to him, curious looks on their faces. The girl who ha brought the sandwiches had explained the delicious variety in detail. It must've taken a day's work, but all sounded very delicious. "I love it! And-thank you for bringing them!" He said to the girl, what was her name? "My name is Donny by the way! And yours?" He asked, right before another guest arrived, and second on the list to have brought some food along as well. It smelled delicious! She approached him, the girl who had just arrived.Interacting with @Teiki Laurent, and @Saoirse Byrne, OPEN!
She said, holding the cookies and casserole. He let the smell of it all kick in before he replied. "Oh-hello, Sa-Saoirse? Sorry! My name is Donny. And thank you so much for the dishes." he said, grinning and taking the plates out of her hands, and placing them on the now yellow table. But this was all just the beginning. He was very excited to tell them about the games they would be playing this evening. But he couldn't spoil anything quite yet! He continued to greet people as they arrived, excited to kick things off finally after everything was set up. OOC: Look below for more info about activities."Hello, I'm Saoirse, but I go by cookie.
