Twelfth Time's A Charm...?

In her life, Elzabeth had met a few bullies. One time a girl pushed her down because Elzabeth was wearing the same shoes as her, another time a girl screamed mean things at her because Elzabeth asked to play. But none of those girls had the chance to break her bones with magic.
Elzabeth took a few steps back as the first Slytherin yelled at James. She was scared, but anger was bubbling up faster than she could hold it back. Once Gem went flying, that seemed to be the final straw.
Elzabeth took out her wand, aiming it at the group. Her grip was so tight it was surprising she didn't snap the wand in her own hands. "I suggest you stop before you have more enemies than you can handle! Do you think your games will stop with us? If you start this you might as well be starting it with the rest of the half-blood students in Hogwarts." Elzabeth shouted.
She expected a little less laughter from the group but they seemed to find Elzabeth hilarious.
"You think we're scared of you? You were raised in a muggle community with a muggle mom, you're nothing but a waste of wizarding blood! You're a rat, getting into things you need to stay away from." The Slytherin on the far right called out. Whoever it was sounded, female. That or a very unfortunate boy.
Elzabeths face heated up and her hands shook. A waist of wizarding blood? "Cowards! That's what you are! Bloody cowards who show their faces because they know what they're doing is wrong!" Elzabeth yelled, her voice shook with anger.
There weren't many times in her life where she wanted to genuinely punch someone until they couldn't see straight but right now that's all she wanted. If someone didn't step up soon she might lose what composer she had left.

Twelfth Time's A Charm...?
Charlotte was late. Extremely late. She was aware of the time, but she ended up getting caught up in her thoughts. Now she was running as fast as she possibly could down to the lake, James' gift in hand. She nearly tripped over herself trying to get there.
She stood at a vantage point, looking at the two groups of people there. She was able to recognize some of them, but the others (who looked much older by their height) were very unfamiliar. No, she couldn't see why they were invited to James' party at all. They looked like they were arguing, but she couldn't hear anything they were saying. That was until one of the hooded figures casted a spell with a yell, seeing her cousin be flung up into the air so carelessly... That was her job- not theirs.
She started running down the hill, now seeing that these people weren't friends- but enemies. She wouldn't allow people to harass her friends like that.
"You'll never be as great as a pureblood, and neither will any of your filthy, mudblood friends."
Charlotte couldn't help but laugh a little bit. She knew the words did hurt but they sounded so stupid that she started giggling. She noticed Elzabeth's fists shaking- she figured if she wasn't going to make the first move, Charlotte might as well. Nothing got her more excited than a good beatdown.
"Shut up already, you sound like an idiot." She balled her hand up into a fist and punched one of them from behind.

Twelfth Time's A Charm...?
。☆✼★━━━━━━✮ ✮━━━━━━★✼☆。Lark's hand shot to her wand in the pocket of her skirt, her fingers gripping the cherry wood so tight it made her knuckles almost cramp up. This was not good. The hair on the back of her neck was standing on end as the intruders got closer and spoke. The air flushed from her chest as James challenged the older boy.
"Wh-why... why don't you lift your hood you fucking cowardly snake..."
Lark stood next to James and drew her wand. It was clear this group wasn't going to leave them alone. She wracked her brain for spells, she had a couple that might be useful if even just for them to make an escape back towards the castle. A couple snickers hissed from the others in the pack of Slytherin at James' challenge.
Gem was next.
Lark's eyes darted back and forth as they exchanged insults. These students looked much older than all of them... this could not end well. She didn't dare to try and turn to look towards Elz, feeling like the group would pounce as soon as they-
"Alarte Ascendare!"
"Gem!" Lark yelled as she watched her friend's body shoot up into the air before meeting the ground just as quick. Elz moved next to her, wand pointed at the group. Lark stretched out her own wand in unison, a fire raging inside of her. Why had they attacked them!? Her eyes flicked around them. There only seemed to be a handful of trees and a bush to hide behind. The castle was more than a quick sprint away... Lark looked back to the group and noticed one of them glaring at her, green eyes blazing and smile snaking across their face. This was for fun. It would be a game to these older students. Lark gritted her teeth. If only something could distract them..
"Shut up already, you sound like an idiot."
A welcomed addition. Charlotte. As well as her fist slamming into the back of one of the Slytherin. Perfect timing. Without missing a beat, Lark gave a wave of her wand and yelled the proper incantation.
"Incendio!"
Flames burst from the edge of the boy's robes, the toothy grin vanishing from his face as he cursed and started to stamp out the fire as it snaked it's way up the side of his leg. She turned her wand towards another one of the idiots who had been heckling them, her eyes ablaze.
"Ye little shit!" One of the Slytherin, a female threw back her hood and pulled her own wand from the inside of her robes, most likely to extinguish the fire consuming her friend's robes. The small anger that had been brewing in Lark's chest exploded. Flicking her wrist to the next one she yelled out another "Incendio!" spell in the girl's direction, a small spark of flame sputtering on the girl's shoulder before smoldering into a burned hole. The girl spun on Lark who leapt forward now face to face, the Slytherin's wand at her throat and snarl ripping from the girl's throat. "This is the problem when you get mixed bloods together they taint those around them!"
Lark had never had this much hatred for anyone but in this moment she almost felt blind with rage. Watching Gem be throw had been too much, it was almost as if something had snapped in the young Ravenclaw. "The only blood you're going ta need ta worry about is yer own." Her accent flared up as she snarled back at the Slytherin. Lark pressed her skin against the girl's wand, egging her on. Adrenaline flooded her veins and made the tips of her fingers tingle, muscles almost ache to be moved, activate. Lash out.

Twelfth Time's A Charm...?
@Lark Flaer @Gem Stuart @Charlotte Marie Mahr @Elzabeth GillanJames’ heart beat like the thunderous pound of ferocious war-drums in his ears. His thoughts began to fade and instinct took their place as the pilot of his actions. As Gem’s limp body cracked unceremoniously against the hard oak, fierce anger flared up in James’ chest.
The young wizard was not yet experienced enough to grasp for his wand in the heat of battle and instead pounced foreword, using the full force of his muscular body to engage the leader in a devastating tackle.
The Slytherin, prepared only to be struck with spells, barely managed to utter “stup-“ as a counter-attack when the wind was rudely expelled from his lungs. The two landed in the dirt, the yew-wood weapon bouncing from leader’s hand and rolling uselessly into a puddle of thick mud. James had handily adjusted the battle between the two to play to his own strengths.
Without missing a beat James delivered a blow to the bridge of his older opponent’s nose. A loud CRACK announcing the breaking of cartilage, followed by a generous spray of warm blood.
James lifted his arm to take a second blow to the boy’s throat but his attack was interrupted by a flash of bright white light. ”Petrificus Totalus!” came a cry from his rear, another one the attackers, a Gryffindor girl with dark brown hair, stood over James as his petrified body rolled off of his Slytherin victim.
”Typical Muggle...” she said spitefully spitting in James’ petrified face, “Fighting like a bloody animal”.
As if to punctuate the insult she gave him a hard kick to the crotch. Jame lay motionless, unable to to react but with a hard blink to the wash of thick pain that ran through his abdomen.

Just when Elzabeth thought things weren't going to go any further, Charlotte threw a punch and started a chain reaction.
Elzabeth watched, wide eyes as James was thrown into a brawl. Before she could even step away to help him though, someone struck her in the back with a spell that left her feet tied. Elzabeths hand slammed on the ground, her wand rolling away from her as if dooming her right on the spot.
"Aww, look you really are all bark and no bite." Elzabeth rolled over to try and see who was talking but instead, she got a kick to the stomach and some not so nice words.
Her lower abdomen exploded in pain and Elizabeth cried out. "Cry again, you little baby." From Elzabeths position, she could clearly see the person's face. She had a crazed look in her eyes as if this was bringing her immense enjoyment.
"Fuck off," Elzabeth grunted, swinging her arms forwards and grabbing the attacker's legs, tripping the cloaked girl. The words that were coming out of her mouth were almost foreign to Elzabeth, she never really cursed like that before but at this moment, those words seemed to only convey what she was really feeling.
Pissed off, hurt, and hyped up on adrenaline, Elzabeth was ready to beat the shit out of these kids. She managed to get the higher ground on the girl and rip the wand out of her hands but that seemed to be all she managed before Elizabeth was the victim of that girls long nails.
Her face burned where the girl had gotten a good swipe on her but she didn't hesitate to return the favor and rip out what hair she could get her hands on. It wasn't that much but the cloaked attacker let out a howl of pain.
This fight wasn't pretty by any means but Elzabeth was determined to win. She attempted to throw a punch but the attacker knocked her back with her hands, ripping a part of her shirt.
Elzabeth let out a surprised yelp, looking down at her shirt. Though she couldn't tell it right now, her face was bleeding from the open wounds. If someone were to walk in on this right now, it would almost look like Elzabeth had gotten in a fight with an animal.

Twelfth Time's A Charm...?
。☆✼★━━━━━━✮ ✮━━━━━━★✼☆。Everything was happening so fast... that was until the sound of James hitting the ground with a Slytherin made time slow for Lark. Turning her head made the tip of the wand at her throat plunge deeper against her neck the sound of her own pulse drowning out the yells of the Slytherin on the ground. It was almost like she was underwater. The spray of blood as James was positioned over the attacker reflected in Lark's eyes. How.. had this even-
A cruel laugh from the girl holding the wand at her throat made Lark glare back at her. Whatever sort of adrenaline was flooding her body seemed to be rushing from her body just as quick as it had come on. Balling her hands into tight knit fists at her side, Lark grit her teeth in response. Chest rising and falling quickly as fear started to trickle its way into her spine a spell being yelled from where James was made Lark turn.
"James!" Lark yelped as she leaned forward to help, seeing Elz wanting to do the same before she fell to the ground. A hand snatched at Lark's hair and pulled her neck back in one sharp motion sending a streak of pain throughout her shoulders. Of course they were playing dirty. They were playing. Looking at the face on the Gryffindor girl who had gone after James, the smile that was twisted across her red lips told Lark that's exactly what it was. They were enjoying this.
"Yer just as bad as them!" Snarled a voice in her eye as her head was forcefully turned to face Elz, fighting tooth and nail with her own attacker. She had blood on the side of her face and the sight of it made a tremor of fear clench at her lungs.
"Elz!" Lark tried to buck against the Slytherin still grasping her hair in one hand, wand in the other. "I don't think so!" The girl snarled again as she yanked the cherry wand from Lark's white knuckle grip. "What is your problem!?" Lark snapped as she tried to pry the girl's hand off of her hair only making the Slytherin pull sharply back, sending Lark stumbling backwards into the girl's legs and onto the ground tears forming from the nerves on her scalp crying out.
"Problem?" The Gryffindor girl who had cast a spell at James had turned to face Lark, the smile vanishing from her face. "Our problem is all of you." She spat as she walked over to Lark, hazel eyes burning down at the Ravenclaw. She waved a hand to James and the rest of her friends. "Mixing." One of the other Slytherin made a mock gagging sound before laughing. "The problem is letting half-breeds and anyone who sympathizes with 'em into this school. There's no place here for their lot. None!" The last word dripping with venom. She turned to face Elz and the girl she was tussling with on the ground. "Deal with it already!" An annoyed tone as if the girl was having trouble with a pest of some sort.
