Blowin' in the wind
A foggy and windy morning was nothing new to Chris, in Ireland it was normal to have unusual weather like this. The area around him was covered in a thick layer of white, something which made him feel uneasy and on edge for anything lurked out of his view. As he walked along the gravelled path, the frosty wind blew into his pale skin, nipping away coldly at his face. He wasn't really wearing much to protect himself from the elements, only his robes kept him somewhat warm from mother nature. But at the current time, he didn't have to worry about how cold he was. It was only the morning, and he had an entire day of lessons to furfill after getting his mail.@Kaegen Deathmote
Before he made his way up the steps Chris stopped at the bottom and turned around, looking at the treeline in the corner of his eye. All that was behind was the same white layer of fog which followed him all the way up here. With a small sigh he slowly fixed his hair to the right and made his way up the steps, one hand holding on tightly to the old stone wall along side. It wasn't long until he reached the entrance, where he slowly peaked his head through curiously. From the looks of things he was the only soul present, other than the Owls that flattered around above him. His eyes gazed over to an owl to the far right, a letter was hanging from its mouth as he waited patiently for the recipient to grab it. Every two weeks his parents sent him a letter to see how he was doing, some weeks from his father and some from his mother. Since both of them were muggles, they were still getting used to the new owling system that had been forced into their lives, yet they did the best they could.
Chris walked over to the light brown Owl and lightly patted it on the head, carefully taking it from his mouth. The front of the envelope had his name on it as well as the person who made the message. This time, his father had sent him a letter. The Slytherin smiled slightly as he slowly put the envelope into his right pocket, hiding it away from anyone sight for now. When he was about to turn around a strange feeling came over him. It felt cold and sinister, something that wasn't normal by any means. Chris turned around quickly and looked around the room, but was met with nothing. However, an unusual silence had come upon the owlery, someone or something had spooked the owls. They all stood still staring down above him, frozen to the spot in fear. Even for Hogwarts standards, this was strange...

Blowin' in the wind
Kaegen walked up the stairs rather swiftly, taking two steps at a time, leaning forward, with his hands slightly in front of him. He was being careful, he didn't trust the stairs. Nothing was going to trip him, or knock him down the dreaded contraptions. Why even have stairs, when ramps were so much easier? His internal grumbling was just another piece of fuel added to the proverbial fire, just another thing to hate.
He didn't expect to see anyone in the owlery. It had been clear that this was where he was headed, and usually there was at least one daring Gryffindor who would send an owl ahead to warn anyone of where Kaegen was going. He was beyond a half vampire, beyond a simple monster. He was the demon that wore the skin of boy he had murdered, he was some monstrous creature that had slipped past the teachers. He was almost universally despised, and almost universally feared.
He pushed open the door to the main owlery with a spidery hand, only to feel his eyes narrowing at what he saw before him. A boy, there was a student, apparently looking around. It was obvious what he had been looking for, he had been looking for the feeling that by now was clearly emanating from Kaegen. Kaegen Deathmote, the boy who had almost killed 4 students, Kaegen Deathmote, the boy who would kill you as soon as look at you. The boy who could fly without a broom.
His voice was hoarse and quiet, and sounded painful. Like a raspy whisper, like wind rustling though dried leaves.
"You. Who are you."
People didn't just not leave, people fled from him, they ran away and backed away and avoided his path. This boy hadn't. Out of ignorance or on purpose, Kaegen couldn't know, but it always meant something when he came across someone who was just standing there, who didn't want to immediately leave. It always meant something, but not necessarily something good or bad. Just... something.
Kaegen started circling the outer wall, moving away from the door. He didn't want to leave his back exposed, but it was also to give the boy an opportunity to run. If this was a mistake, if the other boy did want to simply flee, then Kaegen had to make sure that option was open.
The owls fluttered nervously, some still as statues, with the exception of the large, golden eyes that all seemed to follow him about the room. Something was going to happen

Blowin' in the wind
"You. Who are you." said a voice to the right of him, it almost sounded more like a whisper more than anything. Chris snapped his head to the direction of the voice, his icy blue eyes gazing into the troubled eyes of the newcomer. The person standing before him had the complexion of a ghost, something which would make any student at Hogwarts uncomfortable. From the looks of things he didn't look after himself either, his hair was all over the place as well as his clothes. However, one thing stood out from all the rest. This kid had a strange presence surrounding him, a presence which made a cold shiver go down his spine.
Around Hogwarts there was talk of a monster that roamed the corridors, a student dressed in Ravenclaw colours to be exact. It was said that he had no emotion for anyone or anything, a lost cause which didn't know his place in the system. According to many students, he almost killed four kids in the bathrooms by constructing a makeshift bomb. This kid was clearly living up to his name of being a monster "Chris Madson, and you must be Kaegen Deathmote..." replied the Slytherin calmly, as he brought up his arms to fold them. Chris could still feel that terrible aura that gripped him, but for whatever reason he looked unmoved by his presence and remained in the same mindset.
Kaegen slowly began to move away from the doorway and towards the outer wall, giving him an opportunity to run if he wanted to. However, that wasn't going to be an option right now, he was curious to know more about the monster of Hogwarts "I've heard a lot about you recently, you seem to be making a big name for yourself around the school" said Chris as he turned his back to the boy and walked over to a wall, leaning up against it to make himself comfortable. His eyes gazed back up to the owls that followed his every moves, all of them not moving a muscle as he moved "So, what brings you here Deathmote? I think you'll find it hard getting an owl right now" smirked the boy over to him jokingly. He was acting normal with what people thought to be a monster, but for now, Chris treated him as an equal.

Blowin' in the wind
Kaegen's stormy eyes narrowed. This boy wasn't about to leave, wasn't about to flee in abject horror? No, this boy was one of the few who didn't, one of the few who refused to notice that Kaegen was clearly the predator, clearly the monster. They flaunted their human bravado in a foolhardy attempt to not be trod underfoot, and sometimes, it worked. The ravenclaw from the fens wasn't too proud to admit that it was possible to bluff him into a retreat.
No, this boy knew exactly who Kaegen was, he introduced himself as chris. So crystal, crystal mad. Mad crystal, maybe. Names had to make sense to Kaegen, they had to fit into his idea of what a name should be, they couldn't stand alone and exist for no reason, that was foolish. A name always meant something, a name was a signature, a name denoted who and what you were. So he would mentally give this boy a name, and silently record it, although the likelyhood it would be forgotten was still high.
"I came here to send a letter, and instead am greeted by someone who is voluntarily staying in a room with me. Alone. You clearly have some idea of who I am. So run."
His cloudy eyes seemed to come alive, a angry, dark fogbank of storms. It was too alive, too real. The aura that covered him, oozed off of him, expanded and spread like the plague from him, it seeped into the shadows, made them move, it creeped into the lights and made them flicker, it lay in his eyes and made them visibly seethe with a misdirected wrath, an anger that lashed out at the world in general, not bothering with specifics, not bothering with noticing what it was hurting. Kaegen's anger was something he used for himself as a goalpost, it was something to give him a purpose. He needed his anger to keep moving, needed it to wake up in the morning. But for all of that sea of anger, he was still a creature of fear. And right now, looking across at the boy who only smirked in the face of the monster of hogwarts, he felt that fear, and that fear only fueled the fire of anger.
"I am my name. It and me will be etched into the halls of hogwarts' wretched halls now and forever. Your world touches mine only in odd glimpses, just enough to see what the other does, even if just for a second. The more of my world you know, the more it will take hold of you. This is not a path you wish to walk, slytherin."
Kaegen kept moving along the wall, spidery, clawed fingers flexing intermittently, nervous, angry, unstable. He was more monster than boy, now. Ruled by anger and fear and paranoia. He needed a compass, a map, something to point the way, and he had nothing. Nothing but the emotions he so desperately clung to.

Blowin' in the wind
"I came here to send a letter, and instead am greeted by someone who is voluntarily staying in a room with me. Alone. You clearly have some idea of who I am. So run." replied Deathmote to his question in an unwelcoming tone. His eyes seem to look at him with anger, as if it was a wild animal protecting himself from a predator. That aura that surrounded him seemed to get stronger, so much that Chris could clearly feel the plagued darkness go through his body. The boys smirk slowly dispersed from his lips, Deathmote made it clear he wasn't there to be messed with. Yet, something else replaced his warm smirk, the icy blue stare was now looking straight into the monsters stormy and twisted eyes, unmoved and cold as a stone "I am my name. It and me will be etched into the halls of hogwarts' wretched halls now and forever. Your world touches mine only in odd glimpses, just enough to see what the other does, even if just for a second. The more of my world you know, the more it will take hold of you. This is not a path you wish to walk, slytherin." Kaegen warned over to him, before slowly beginning to walk along the wall in an unstable body manner.
Chris slowly raised himself off the wall and walked into the middle of the room, his eyes still locked on his as the boy came to a stop and folded his arms "Kaegen, you don't scare me..." said the Slytherin in a serious tone, as well as being straight to the point. He wasn't going to allow Deathmote to belittle him or intimidate, like what he did to the rest of the students at Hogwarts "You were wrong about me knowing who you really are Deathmote. When I look at you I see something else other than a monster, you know what I see? A scared boy who feels they dont belong in this society." his mouth briefly lets out a sigh as he continues to look at the unusual movements of the boy. He wasn't sure if it was right to be straight forward with a lad like Kaegen, if you did anything out of line it was a high chance the kid could snap. However, someone had to be the first to say the brutal truth "We live in the same world you and I, yet that persona you upkeep to drive people away prevents you from realising that." said Chris in an almost disappointing tone as he looks at the floor for a brief second, before returning his gaze up to him "Maybe driving yourself away from the mad world you live in will help..."

Blowin' in the wind
Kaegen's lips began to curl upwards, displaying fangs that glistened with blood. It had hurt, they hadn't been unsheathed in too long, and the gums were unwilling to yield, but Kaegen was too tired, too worn emotionally and physically to stop himself. He was a monster with some flickerings of humanity keeping him from being expelled only barely, running on instincts, on fear and hate and impulse. He caused students to flee, to run before him, to avoid him, to cry at his very sight. He refused to admit his own fear, and he especially refused to allow anyone else to call him scared.
How strong did the other boy believe himself to be? How utterly mindblowingly powerful was his current opponent's ego? He had nothing that could stop Kaegen Deathmote, or at least those were the thoughts that raced through the ravenclaw's hate-filled mind.
"Where are your scars? Where was your blood when mine stained the trophies of this accursed place? Where is the pain coursing through you as you practice endlessly to make sure you can make it through another day? Where are your monsters? Your demons and death witches? What do you look at when those around me wither and fade? Our worlds are not the same. And if you would claim otherwise, show me your wounds and prove it."
They sat around and waited to die, and in a lot of cases, that didn't even happen. The monsters lived in his world, that much was clear. He had recently been attacked by several, he had escaped out of a broken window towards the ceiling of the ballroom, and stayed on the roof. It had hurt, it always hurt. No one else felt any of that, no one else bled as much as he did. It wasn't fair, it didn't make sense. Unless, of course, you counted in that they were simply standing in different worlds. There was a veil that kept the realms apart, the same sort of veil that kept everyone from willingly staying in the same room as him.
"I'm not so sure your eyes work."
