They settled, and she had Aurore at 21. She writes beautiful, deeply meaningful, and stylistically elevated novels for a living. She avoids discussing her husband's past, although she often mentions the strength of the love they shared.
Relation: Deeply loving. She is always present for her daughter and encourages her in all her decisions. However, she is sometimes too distracted to notice the hard times her daughter might face due to her heritage—though when she does notice, she is deeply impacted.

He lived with Eilidh in France and was committed to safe feeding practices, relying on hospital blood. He planned to turn Eilidh after Aurore turned ten, but he died under unnatural circumstances when Aurore was six.
Relation: Aurore remembers him with a soft and distant ache. Though their time together was short, she felt his presence strongly. He was gentle with her, never frightening, and left behind a sense of quiet immense protection.

Aurore Cendre was born on the 3rd of March 2014 in Geneva, Switzerland. Although Eilidh spoke openly about the love they shared, she rarely mentioned Lucien’s past; and thus Aurore grew up with many questions unanswered. Her father, a vampire, practiced safe feeding through hospital blood and lived discreetly among wizards and Muggles. He had planned to turn Eilidh into a vampire once Aurore turned ten, so the three could live together without aging too much apart. But when Aurore was about to turn six years old, Lucien died under unnatural and still unexplained circumstances. Aurore and her mother were left alone, as they had never met any of his vampire relatives, as Lucien had always remained secretive about his origins. Aurore was raised in a quiet home near the French-Swiss border, in a village named Chens-sur-Léman, facing the lake.
Aurore’s first known act of magic occurred when she was six years old, a few months after her father’s death. One afternoon, she was playing near a river with a small group of local children. Although she usually kept to herself, one Muggle girl who lived nearby had taken, as they seen each other occasionally when Aurore went to play in the park with her mother in the late afternoons. Despite Aurore’s slightly unsettling appearance – still somewhat noticeable to Muggles, though softened by makeup, charms, and her quiet manners; the girl welcomed her without hesitation. One late Saturday, they were playing tag, the girl began to chase Aurore. Determined not to lose, and not to ruin one of her few rare connections, Aurore panicked – she didn’t want the girl to stop playing with her. In that instant, she performed an unnatural leap across a rather large stream, landing out of sight among trees and bushes on the far side. The jump was not noticed by the Muggle girl, as her view had been partly blocked by the vegetation.
She was educated at home by a kind old Squib who lived nearby, while her mother occasionally showed her bits of magic. To the authorities and neighbors, her mother explained that she wanted to keep her daughter close as she grew up, especially since she was still too shaken by her husband's death to be apart from her for long. Aurore approached her education with quiet curiosity, reading far beyond what she was assigned, though she never flaunted it; she didn’t want to be seen as a know it all.
She was especially drawn to Divination and Charms. Moreover, from a young age, she also painted – mostly landscapes in a pointillist style, using dark tones; which she rarely shared, but continued to improve gradually.
She carries a quiet sadness that never fully leaves her, a weight sharpened by her father’s absence and the uneasy legacy of her vampiric blood. Though she moves through the world with confidence and charm, it’s a performance she’s started as she was still learning how to speak, and that she refined over time – beneath it, she is shy, unsure, and constantly questioning her place. The isolation she feels, only sharpens her need to succeed; she needs to prove she belongs, to earn respect, and to uncover the truth behind her father’s death.
Although she holds both French and Scottish citizenships, Aurore considers France her home. When she received her letter from Beauxbâtons Academy of Magic, her mother cried. Aurore did not. But that night, she painted the lake at dusk as seen from her bedroom, and the sky in the painting was almost completely black; only one start in the top left corner merely visible with a slightly red glow.
