Saturday Afternoon, May 31st
The bleak and dreary grey had finally receded, the sun shone and the Great Lake sparkled as if it had been enchanted (maybe it had). Sun and warmth would greet duelists from the famed Regal Roar as they made their way to a “Roaring Party” as Galton had put in the fliers they’d all taken from last practice. Whatever their motive for attending, the captains aimed to delight, entertain and enthrall with the arrangement laid out before them.

To find the spot all one had to do was look for the banner that had been raised high in the sky reading "CONGRATULATIONS REGAL ROAR" flanked by Gryffindor flags raised ever so slightly higher. Upon arrival they would find a large pavilion in house colors setup with libations, several blankets and large pillows for picnicking (in house colors as well), and an overturned boat (not in house colors) that had been hauled over, sitting next to the pavilion.

A sweet tooth, grumbling belly or parched throat would be well served within the pavilion. Four silver platters floated about, the food for today's crowd. Three carried a feast of sweets. Two dedicated to sweets of the candy variety: sticky caramels, jelly slugs, sherbet lemons, a plethora of colorful lollipops, chocolate, hard candies - if you wanted it, it was most likely here. The other held a compliment of cake and baked-genre confections. The final tray held all foods that fell outside of the sweets category - sandwiches, a salad, bread and cheese. Next to the floating feast was a table with utensils, plates and cups as well another sporting a keg of pumpkin juice and another of butter beer.

After surveilling the set-up the last obvious component would be their Captain. Who, one would imagine, was the defining detail of the whole event. Galton the Glorious was waiting in the middle of it all, examining his work with glee and eagerly waiting to greet whoever showed up. He sported a summer robe, a pair of wizard crocs and a stacked plate of candy he was steadily snacking on.
Info: It's time for the Regal Roar to celebrate a year of intense dueling and practice with a little fun! And maybe honor it's graduating members. Who knows, there may even be a few surprises in store for our regal party-goers.

Time flies. Sere Nade's second-year at Hogwarts as well as her second year as a Gryffindor duellist had come to an end. The girl had mixed feelings she'd never felt before. Everything during her second-year duellist era went so well, maybe too well. The pride for successfully sweeping victories in every matches she had played was accompanied by a sense of worry about whether she would be able to maintain this achievement next year. The twelve-year-old didn't know how to manage the exultation that came right after all those failures in her first-year.

All the thoughts were overwhelming and Sere decided to free herself for a moment from the worries. Today was a perfect time to relax. She had several schedules and one of them was to come to the wrap-up party. Yup, Gryffindor won this year's Duelling Championship and the captain distributed flyers to celebrate it. For Sere, this event was more like a rare moment to meet all the Gryffindor duellists aside from practicing and match preparations. She was not a party girly, but it was impossible to miss this one. Also, a day party would be totally different from a night party, right?

The girl wore a blue jeans shirt and black trousers, her hair was left loose and waved together with Great Lake's afternoon gentle breeze. The weather had turned perfectly fine. From a distance, her eyes caught the captain standing there with a plate full of candy. "Oh my... Sugar rush..." she mumbled while approaching the party area.

The Roaring Party was set up pretty well; simple and semi-formal, yet elegant at the same time. Sere nodded in satisfaction; this is suited her style. It looked like she was the first to come besides the host. She hoped she would meet both of her teammates later @Siobhan McCarty @Theo Vendeberg, as well as Kim @Kim Sato -because Sere missed her senior- and... Oh! Raizel the captain! It had been a very long time since they last interacted. @Raizel Voltrouz

Arriving in front of the floating feast, the lioness chose one salt bread and one sandwich for her lunch. She thought about getting some salad later, once she was in the mood for it. Then she moved to greet the captain, "Galton, hi. A well prepared party I see." @Galton Lansdale Sere bowed politely, then took a place next to him. "The Great Lake looks beautiful today," She immediately hissed in annoyance with her own pleasantries and cleared her throat, "Uh, no no no! Sorry... that was cheap. Anyway, you're almost done with your Hogwarts life, and you're wrapping up your final year bringing victory back to our house. That's amazing." This one was not a pleasantry. "Congrats to you, Cap!" the girl said as she took a bite of her salt bread.

Raizel had never been one to take part in a party. The balls were an exception and even so, she would remain on the sides, barely interacting with anyone and recently, she only goes if someone invited her just like last time. She was in her phase where she’d rather be in the common room, or at the very least, in a place where she could be on her own, doing her own thing like doing spell practice, flying practice, studying and doing practice again… a tiring routine but with her dissatisfactions in her skills and lack of strength, it was all she could think of. She had no time for fun, no time for parties, no time for socializing. She has a lot to catch up to and she wasn’t afraid to sacrifice her relationships with other people to do so.

If only she wasn’t a duelling captain then she would’ve skipped the Regal Roar Party but it was kind of her responsibility to join such events for their duellists and she can’t have them think that she was being a killjoy for not doing so, especially when they were celebrating not only the victory of their team but also the last time that Galton Lansdale and Meenauh Silmataurea were joining them as part of the team. Might as well give them a nice farewell party, right? When she arrived at the Great Lake, she immediately scanned for a place to hang around, far from where she could be perceived by a lot of people.

Galton was prepared for this party, shown with how things were laid out when she arrived, complete with a congratulatory banner, food and beverages. She was impressed and with all the efforts made on it, enough to make her feel bad for even considering skipping it as this was a special occasion. But hey, would they even notice if one captain was not present? Not to mention, she did turn her back on them, and left the team due to certain circumstances. A hard decision to make because she did enjoy her time. It was just unfortunate that she couldn’t see herself benefiting from it during that time. Well, she was considering returning, just because it seems weird to be a duelling captain when you are not duelling yourself. That or she passes down the torch to someone who can give justice to it. Maybe. She’ll give it some thoughts after this.

Sweets… lots of sweets. “You have a sweet tooth.” Raizel remarked upon the sight of the sweets overpowering the rest of what was served before them. Her gaze fell onto Galton and then to Sere who had been there when she came over, showing her a small smile just enough for an initial greeting, conditioning herself for the long interactions that will follow. For how long will she be able to keep up this time?

The Great Lake was a place Kim had frequented back when he'd been a first year, along with the greenhouse. Over the years he hadn't spent as much time at the Great Lake, unless it was to hold a club meeting for his members. Although, trips to the greenhouse had become a daily thing for him. Kim liked to take care of the plants there, even though he didn't need to as he had no responsibility to do so. But it wasn't about duty, it was about his passion for plants and nature in general. Galton had been advertising like crazy about some celebration party for the Lions winning their dueling matches. He had put together fliers and handed them out to everyone at the last practice session.

It was very curious. But Kim had a soft spot for Galton. Galton was his idol and the one he aspired to be someday when it came to dueling. Even though Galton wasn't as good as professional duelists, to Kim he was amazing and had been his very first partner ever. So that in turn was sentimental to him. Since it was the beginning of summer soon, Kim decided to create some dessert to bring with him to the celebration. There was bound to be various food items there, so Kim thought for a time about what he could bring that might not already be there. Eventually, he came to a decision and decided upon some mini lemon cheesecake mousse desserts. Sweet, tart and just right for summer.

Kim approached the Great Lake at the aforementioned time listed on the flyer and came across a large pavilion in the distance. Wow. Galton had gone all out for this. Kim was wearing Valentin's Durmstrang uniform as usual and greeted Galton with a little nod. The outfit actually represented both Durmstrang and Gryffindor at the same time since the colors were red and white. Kim set his enchanted backpack down near the table and pulled out the container of his mini desserts. Setting them onto the table as well, Kim picked up his backpack again and slung a strap over one shoulder. "Hope you don't mind I brought some mini desserts I made. The place looks great...."

"You must have done a lot of work for this!"
He said with a smile. Kibō was also with him but not on his person this time, having slithered off to check out the area on his own. Kim glanced around, spotting Sere and Raizel there too. For now, this was a great party because only a few people were there. If no one else showed up, this amount would be great. Not that he didn't like the other members of the dueling team, he loved them all, including his teammates that he'd been dueling with for the longest time. But having too many people gathering in the same place at once... made Kim feel nervous. There were already three people there. What if the entire team showed up?

Not to mention all of the waitlisted people. The only comfort he could take was the fact that Galton had chosen to host this party outside. If it had been inside, Kim probably would have gotten claustrophobic if everyone showed up for the celebration. But as it was, even if they all showed up, since it was outside, Kim could just take a step back and distance himself. Glancing around, Kim picked up a selection of food and treats and then headed over to the overturned boat. Taking a seat on it, he set his backpack down beside the boat and let his eyes flicker around him. Most would probably sit on the ground with a picnic blanket. Not with him. At least that was what he hoped for.

Calming Presence in Effect: Figaro & Participants Affected

"Truly, what a cause to celebrate indeed!"

"I guess those dodging and live target practices really did pay off!"
───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

It really was a huge cause for celebration, and while Piérre's own sport pursuits had very much gone to Hell in a handbasket, he was more than willing to put on a good face and an excellent showing for the purposes of congratulating his, @Galton Lansdale's, and @Raizel Voltrouz' dueling team as one of their co-captains. Admittedly, Galton had done the bulk of the work when it came to planning and executing the entire celebration... but Piérre had not allowed himself to not participate in the whole setting up bit.

This was a special celebration, after all. Gryffindor had taken the Dueling Cup for the entire season, and they were saying goodbye to some of their staple teammates. While he had never had the honor of playing as part of the deadly combination that had been Galton and Meen... he had had the honor of attempting to duel alongside Meenuah (it had been a duel that was ill-fated from the start, but had caused the boy to gain an immense respect for the senior woman), and also in coaching and serving as a... well...

Honestly live target practice was the best way to go about things, in his humble opinion... and he was quite a good punching bag when there were medics on standby to get him just patched up enough to take another volley. While he was not exceptional in the realm of casting or even in strategy on the whole... it had quickly become apparent to the team that he was one of the most eccentrically optimistic individuals when it came to encouraging others to excel and succeed at their performances. Every team had to have their cheerleader, right? Well, that and also their practice dummy. And Piérre just so happened to be both a cheerleader... and quite the dummy. Two for one deal, if one would.

"Sere! @Sere Nade Hi!" He greeted one of their younger duelists with joie de vivre, waving excitedly. "Come on in!"

And @Kim Sato, a boy that Piérre himself had been keeping an eye on silently. He had had a very rough season last year... but this year had seen him perform exceptionally indeed. He came up to the Korean's side (Figaro was ordered to hang back while Piérre himself went to talk to the human), who had set himself off to the side after offering his own treats for the party, and tapped him gently on the shoulder. "Hey." A careful smile. "Congrats. You had an awesome season." The smile turned into a grin before he nodded--perhaps that was all that really had to be said... though there was much more he could say--and then wandered back into the party, ready to greet more people as they came.

"Raizel!" He called to their youngest captain. "Get over here. Giles, you too!" He picked up a glass of butterbeer, raising it towards her as well as Galton. "You both deserve to celebrate as well as managers of this team. Especially you, Giles, putting all of this on like this as well as crushing the season." It was clear, between the cunning grin and the fact that he was holding the butterbeer: the soon-to-be senior was intent on a toast.
