⊹ HISTORY ⊹

BEFORE HOGWARTS

Reducio
Margaux was born on a very warm morning of September 29, at exactly 6:42. She went on to grow up in a lavish yet not too spoiled lifestyle. She has an older brother, Olivier, also a muggle-born wizard, but never told her anything about the wizarding world. They had a sibling rivalry and always bickered at the smallest of things, never made up easily unless they were scolded or told to. Margaux got her name from her great-aunt, someone her mother always looked up to. Her maternal grandparents weren't always present when she grew up, in fact, her mother had forbidden them from setting foot inside their house because they'd neglected her to 'pay more attention' to Margaux's aunt, Iverna, whom she never got to get along with, together with her bratty cousin, Fioline.

For her paternal grandparents, however, Javillene adored them. They always brought her and Olivier a gift when they came over and her mother and grandmother were always chatting in the kitchen. Margaux doesn't have lots of cousin as her father didn't have any brothers or sisters and her mother didn't want to associate with her family, so whenever she was bored she'd always be outside either playing with her friends or writing a letter to her penpal, Lorraine.

Margaux and Lorraine first met when Lorraine was on vacation in Lyon when she was 4. Javillene's mother had dropped her off in a private daycare and she was introduced to a new, temporary playmate by her teacher, Ms. Rovall.
They didn't really talk a lot at first but when the topic fashion came in, they instantly clicked.

Margaux always loved fashion and always made something from pieces of clothing that were torn from unwanted clothes by her mother's clients. Her mother was a popular fashion designer in their city, her father was a business entrepreneur, he sold watches, and Olivier had taken his talent and always complained when Margaux would beg the maids not to throw out the scraps of fabric, Margaux would do the same when he talked to his friends about business or something that Margaux doesn't understand, still probably about business.

Margaux's first instance of magic was when she was 8. It was winter, a particularly cold one and she was in her room. There had been a shortage in logs in their house, she had on her red, striped pyjamas and she was facing her fireplace. The fire started to fade suddenly and Margaux, completely frustrated laid on her bed and threw her pillow on the fire. It had been an accident, she didn't know what she did and immediately sprung up and cautiously inserted her hand into the fire, she managed to get a grip on the casing and pulled hard. Miraculously, there were no burns on her hands nor on the pillow.
