Graci had just sent an owl to her parents, her second year starting off well, even without Zoe there to cheer her up... or hold her back.

Merlin, that really isn't right of me. Speaking ill of my sister because she left. Well... not speaking ill of her. Thinking it if anything.

It was a sunny fall day, one ripe for the taking, and not at all fit for such glum thoughts. Especially not from her, finally re-united with one of her favorite places to be. Other than with friends/family or in Greece, of course.

The corridor Graci was walking down was dappled with sunlight, pure rays of gold freckling the floors. It was far too beautiful to not be appreciated, so she slowed her pace a bit, enjoying the serenity.

That was, until there came a short burst of wind, like a spell gone astray. It interrupted the quiet hallway quite rudely. The spat cuss words doing nothing to help their case. Way to ruin poetic thoughts, that is. Expletives; Such an unfortunate, yet effective, way to express oneself.

Graci didn't notice the papers strewn across the floor till one fluttered to her feet, with a shout from the owner accompanying it. Most likely victim to the spell cast but moments before. Oof, I do not envy him in the least.

The papers were still fluttering over the floor, dancing through the air, when Graci bent down to grab them. Almost instinctively. Trying to help in whatever way she could, knowing that if she were in the same predicament, it would be greatly appreciated.

Words were printed neatly across the pages, in a script or play-like manner. Graci didn't study them much, not knowing if they were important or would be of cause to embarrassment to the unfortunate owner of them.

Upon looking up she noticed that the 'unfortunate owner' was a boy, scrambling to pick his papers up. She carefully shuffled them to sit nicely, hoping she didn't mess up a potentially careful line up.

"I believe these are yours?" It was rather obvious, considering that they were the only ones in the hallway, spell caster having fled the scene.

Graci smiled at his relieved talking, glad that he had gotten all of his papers back safely.

"They're probably out of order, but I'm glad I could help." He looked so flustered and relieved it was almost comical. So very unlike the rest of the Hogwarts kids who all seemed either too serious/mature or had issues with their parents. It was like they all needed to have good back stories in order to be interesting.

She listened intently as he described what it was, a script for a play. Close to what she had guessed, which rather surprised her. The pace of his voice was easy to follow, which must have been helpful if one regularly did voice overs and the like.

"That sounds interesting. I can't really memorize stuff well unless it's really random facts on something I'm really interested in. I've never heard of this Woodland Tales that you speak of, but it sounds quite interesting."

Graci wasn't lying, it really did sound interesting, though she suspected that most people attending the school wouldn't think so. Them and their posh pure blood selves. Even though she was in her second year and had seen how most of the kids weren't like that, there were still a select few. Very annoying and probably hated themselves, if she had to guess. Or were really good actors.

She was a bit shocked at his next sentence, this day was full of surprises. "Sure, why not. Though, if you're trying to memorize lines it might be a bit loud. And I'm sure there wouldn't be many more rogue spells flying around."

Graci didn't know why she was deflecting, it really would be quite a bit of fun. And she didn't mind talking to people anymore. He also seemed nice enough, in Hufflepuff so he couldn't be too terrible. Though I should never underestimate a Hufflepuff kid, they can be kinda vicious.

Graci followed Luke as he went down the corridors, content to talk on the long trek. {Gosh, these halls are long and many.}

"I'm sure whoever made it doesn't think it's that immature. It really does sound interesting. Do you suppose I could read through the script sometime? Maybe help you memorize your lines? Sorry if I'm overstepping."

Graci was genuinely interested, a bit of an avid reader, though less so since coming to Hogwarts. Unfortunate, really. But then again, I have all these big books to read for homework, so it's not too bad, I suppose.

"Well my random facts are as I said... random. And not many of them are dinosaur related. I mean, I know stuff about them, but none of them are altogether interesting. I'm a bit of a history Nerd though. Last year around November I actually had a whole conversation about Guido De Bres. Wait no, it was Guy Fawkes, dunno where I got Guido De Bres from."

She shook her head, chuckling at the ground, a smile on her face. "Most of the facts are either history or book related. And I know that most young adult dinosaurs were probably not much taller than lets see... that suit of armor over there," Graci said, pointing to one of the numerous metallic suits.

"I mean, taller, obviously, but not too much. Dinosaurs aren't as large as we think they were. Sure, maybe some of the fully grown ones, but even then. They did hatch out of relatively small eggs. About the size of one of those American footballs."

He asked for dinosaur facts. Graci decided to deliver.
