January was a peaceful time. Linda enjoyed the snow and was free from stress. Though she still had complicated feelings about what was going on between her and Quentin. Whatever it was, it was all new to her. What were they? Friends? But friends don't kiss and don't hold hands. Were they in a relationship? But why would it be so complicated and confusing? She didn't know.

Deciding to take a walk, she prepared herself and went out. To the courtyard where less students could be found. Snow. It was enough to build something with it. A snowman? She wasn't interested in it. A castle? This seemed more like fun.

Linda looked around and found the place where she would start building a castle. Once everyone's was ready, she slowly started collecting snow and forming it into necessary details.

It could be more fun to do it with someone else. However, she was also fine with continuing alone. If someone asked her, she would be happy to share her ideas. A very detailed castle with a bridge. That's what she was going to build.

January meant that Valentine's Day was approaching. She would need to do something for him. But what was it going to be? She still didn't know. Perhaps a simple valentine. With a drawing of them. It wasn't a bad choice.

With these thoughts she continued to slowly build first floor of the castle. To anyone looking, it was already obvious that it wasn't going to be a snowman. However, the final idea of it was still unclear. She still had a lot to do. And she was ready for it.

It was a nice Saturday at Hogwarts. Peaceful, and the outside wasn't too bad either. The snow had settled, and the sun was bright but not so much so that its reflection blinded Nora. She'd woken pretty early for a weekend day, 9 am, but she didn't mind much. She'd spent those free hours reading a Muggle book her mom had sent her, and even skimmed through her homework. She didn't actually do the assignment, but hey, weekends were a two-day event. This was only day one! She had tons of time. Toonnnsss.

Besides, Nora wasn't in the mood for homework right now. She wanted to have fun! Go outside! Maybe make a snowman. Grabbing her favourite coat (an army green one with a canvas-like exterior), some mittens and her boots, Nora walked over to the edge of her bed. She hated putting on shoes, and these boots added the extra struggle of laces. One would think boots should be easy to put on-- just wiggle them on. But with these, she had to undo the laces each time if she wanted to get her foot in. So she sat down, and Nora went through the whole routine of unlacing and then redoing them again.

Once that was taken care of, Nora shrugged her jacket on and shoved her mitts in her pockets. She'd put those on once she needed them. Heading out, she made sure to grab her wand, which she'd left by her nightstand, in one of her taller cups. She was exceptionally careless with the thing, and her parents were constantly scolding her about it. Even her friends would roll their eyes at how often she forgot it in random places. Honestly, it was a miracle that Nora hadn't lost it entirely yet. She'd lost a good share of other things-- books, jewelry, sickles-- all gone forever.

After a bit of a walk to the ground floor, Nora made her way to the courtyard. She'd planned to find some snow she could make something out of, but to her delight, she saw that someone else had beaten her to it. It was a redheaded girl, likely Nora's age, and she looked somewhat familiar, though Nora couldn't place it. She was bent down and collecting snow. Except she wasn't making a snowman, no; there was no rolling. It was some kind of... structure? Nora got closer, trying to see more details.

"What are you making?" she asked. Her eyes brightened, and she added, "Can I join?"

A castle. Sure, you can join! Maybe we could build something big together. Linda replied, stopping to look at the one who approached her. The voice sounded familiar, but she was certain she didn't know this girl that well.

Looking at the girl, Linda remembered. They met once before with puzzles. Was it Nora? Great to see you again. A small smile appeared on her face. A warm and welcoming one, a smile that suggested that Linda was glad to meet again.

Is there anything you would like to start with? Perhaps the girl had some ideas or even suggestions. Linda was ready to hear them all.

Otherwise, she was going to start with base level of the castle. Making it with rooms and windows, as high as they would like it to be. She hoped it could be some fun. After all, it was a weekend. This day was supposed to be fun and relaxing.

She thought about the building and slowly started to take more snow and form it in walls. There would be halls and rooms, some spaces left like windows. Did she enjoy it? Yes, she definitely did. It was a good day with a good weather. She didn't think someone will join her, but unexpectedly Nora did. And this could also be used for Linda to try to know more about the girl. That meeting still didn't give much information, and it was so long ago that Linda wasn't sure when it was.
