A Groggy Breakfast PV Kapono Chimley Closed

Kapono was very hesitant to get out of bed today! He had a very bad vibe that he would be having a very bad day. He rarely had those kind of feelings because Kapono was very optimistic, and he was usually prepared for anything to be thrown his way. But, NOPE not today! Yesterday was a bad day as well, and now Kapono had a broken nose, a minor concussion, and a black eye! Why? He fell down the steps yesterday after he was caught talking to himself by a group of popular girls! He had also burned off nearly all of his taste buds yesterday morning because he had drank HOT chocolate. 

One thing that did happen while he was on his way to breakfast this morning was a smaller girl, maybe three or four inches shorter than him, bumped into him. She seemed very groggy, and tired, like she could curl up on the floor and take a nap at any moment. He kind of felt bad. She muttered out a stream of apologizes, along with, “Sorry, I should've looked where I was going...” and she sheepishly made her way to the Ravenclaw table. 
Kapono decided to follow her, because he was looking for someone to make his acquaintance down at the Great Lake after breakfast! "Hey! I'm Kapono, nice to meet you? What's your name?" he hoped she had heard him, and even if she did, he also hoped she just didn't like...ignore him...but this girl didn't seem like the type of person to completely ignore somebody. From the looks of it this girl was a first year Ravelclaw, and man...was she cute!

Noelle was startled, again, but this time to see that the person who she'd just bumped into had called after her. She turned her head, eyes wide, and watched him approach her.

"Hey! I'm Kapono, nice to meet you?” he said. Noelle turned all the way around; she took that moment to look at him: he was a young boy, maybe her age or older, and had brown hair and dark eyes. He looked friendly so she decided to display the same vibe back.

“What's your name?" he asked.

Noelle raised the corner of her lips into a half-smile. “Noelle.”

He had said that it was nice to meet her, although she would've said 'bump into' instead, but he looked like he was too nice to say something like that. Noelle wondered if he were a Hufflepuff, because usually they were pretty friendly. She liked trying to guess which house people were in based on how they acted; usually she figured the overly kind people were in Hufflepuff, not that Kapono was like that, but she got that wrong after seeing a friend from her first ride her get sorted into Gryffindor. That shows that brave people come in all different types, not just exceedingly confident or crazily daring.

She searched her mind for what to say next, because this was a little awkward, for her, at least. She brushed a her bangs out her eyes and stuffed her hands into her pockets.

“Sorry for bumping into you...did you need something?” she asked with the raise of her eyebrows, as if she were purely curious, not like she wanted him to go away. But Noelle was ready to sit down and eat, which is why every now and then she'd glance at the food on the tables nearby.

“Sorry for bumping into you...did you need something?” said the girl...the girl who now had a name. Her name was Noelle, and the way she said put a twinge of beauty on her name that he couldn't stop replaying her voice while she said it in his head.
Man, he had never had this feeling f..for ANYBODY before, and he wasn't planning on having any "feelings" for anybody anytime soon, but he couldn't help himself to realize how beautiful, and charming this girl was! He stood there, staring for a good fifteen seconds, before he realized how weird he was being! He wasn't about to just give himself away, as if he already hadn't, but he didn't want to ruin this opportunity, he decided to ask the girl on a picnic at the Great Lake.
"Yeah, I uhhh....I...would you possibly wanna go down to the great lake sometime? Maybe tomorrow during lunch?" He asked, and he held his breath, waiting for a response. He realized that the girl kept glancing over at the Ravenclaw table, at all the delicious food. He was about to do something daring, and possibly even detention worthy...

A Gryffindor? Noelle raised her eyebrows a little but she was that surprised; she'd met a lot of Gryffindors so far, some shy, some arrogant, and some really obnoxious. Noelle just found it strange how overly nice he was being towards her, given that she had literally bumped into him just a few minutes ago. But since he had seemed to forget about that, she decided to do the same thing.

He followed her and they sat together, trying to be oblivious to the curious eyes. Thankfully it was only a few, because it wasn't too unusual to see different houses mingling at other tables. Noelle smiled at Kapono and then picked out food she wanted to eat. Breakfast was her favorite time of the day—she just couldn't resist eggs or bacon, especially together. She piled the two on her plate, along with some toast, sausages, and jam. Then she poured herself a glass of orange juice and dug in.

Out of the corner of her eye she noticed the boy staring at her. She froze mid-bite, and then started chewing again, just a little slower and more awkward. Noelle didn't like when people stared at her, especially when she had no idea why they were doing it.

Suddenly Kapono burst into laughter, which scared her so much she nearly dropped her fork. Noelle turned to stare at him, eyes wide with confusion, and maybe a little bit of concern for his sanity.

He seemed to notice this and stopped laughing, going on to eat his food. But he was shoveling it in instead of eating like a regular person. Noelle went back to eating her food, trying to pretend like she didn't notice for his sake. But Kapono never failed to surprise, because he suddenly began to shoke.

Noelle wanted to help but he knew exactly what to do, apparently, because he began to do the Heimlich Maneuver, all by himself to himself. She watch in fear but it subsided when he succeeded. Noelle was at a lost though; so much had just happened in less than fifteen minutes that she really needed to take time to comprehend. But all she could do was stare at Kapono with a bizarre look on her face.

“...are you okay?” asked Noelle, after a good five minutes. She was definitely not tired anymore; she felt more awake than she had ever been.

“...are you okay?”  Noelle had asked Kapono, but he wasn't feeling so good now that  he had just choked, given himself the Heimlich, and embarrassed himself in front of more than half of Hogwarts student body. Hey, at least he was still alive and breathing, although he doubted Headmaster Lear would've just of let him suffocate. He sat down, beet red. He went back to eating, not really acknowledging Noelle had asked him a question, until he had taken his first bite. He turned to her about thirty seconds later, not thinking about having his mouth full, and mumbled "Yeah, just you know...choking"  he stopped talking after that, not wanting to sound rude. He could feel himself burning up, either an after effect from the choking or the embarrassment...Kapono just was having a day, you know? The kind of day whenever you wake up on the wrong side of the bed, and now this. He now seemed to have a small crush on a girl he barely even knew, and to whom he now sounded like a complete and total snob to. He was trying to think of something to say to kind of gravitate back towards more conversation, and whenever he finally found something to say, he got scared to say it. But he said it anyways "Back to what I originally asked you, would you like to go down to the Great Lake tomorrow for lunch?"
