Applied for Prefect and Mentor ages ago but they got shot down because I don't use Discord. Bit of a frustration in all honesty.

it’s 1 am and I should be asleep, but I have to say this. Same for me! I was going to apply for Prefect and Mentor, but I can’t because of the Discord. Mentoring people was really what kept me on here for so long, but now I’m kinda just frustrated with a lot of things on here. Especially with the Discord part. I’m worried that the sports teams may eventually have a Discord requirement and that’s going to be terrible for a lot of people if that happens. If Disc becomes a requirement for things like that, I’ll probably just disappear. I’ve been way too stressed about all the changes and everything. That’s one reason why I haven’t been active much the past couple of days. There are also a couple more things frustrating me on here, but I’m not really comfortable sharing them publicly.

Communication I can kind of understand. But one thing that baffles me is why not use Owls...? Owls has always worked for me much better than I think Discord ever would. Then again, people have their preferences and that's okay. But depending on who you ask, you're limiting yourself to who can access it and thus their efforts to contribute more to the site in that way. Mentors and staff being examples.

The recent changes are still something I'm getting used to. I reckon it'll be a slow burn to come around eventually, but if people are happy about these changes then I'm happy for them. For me, this isn't the style of RP'ing that I'm used to. Some of the process(es) here are a little foreign to me in some ways still.

its just like using whatsapp or snapchat, just a quick way to talk to people thats not exclusively texting
