He stares at her as she tucks her hair behind her ear as she speaks, seeming very passionate about the houses' reputations. The snake house seems to be the one with the most negative opinions, due to the many dark wizards and witches that were once sorted in there. Quite frankly, as long as no 'funny' student tried to say things to him about his house, in an attempt to make him feel bad for being a Slytherin, Virgil doesn't care that much about what others think about Slytherins.

"Well... I don't know how I feel about it," mumbles Virgil honestly, as the girl stops talking. He thinks about it, frowning a little — Slytherin's definitely a great house, and he doesn't mind being a Slytherin. At all. Though, it certainly doesn't feel like the perfect fit for him. Virge can see himself as a Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff, just like Robin herself, rather than a Slytherin. "I don't think I fully represent my house's traits. I don't think of myself as an ambitious, cunning leader..."

Yeah, definitely not, he shakes his head internally with a weak chuckle, not even being able to imagine himself in any position that required leadership. He'd screw up big time — as he's not resourceful or confident in anything. "More like an evasive, unsure follower." Virgil shrugs. "My mum is a Ravenclaw, and father, a Hufflepuff. I always thought I'd be sorted into either of those two..."

"N-Not that I'm creative and kind or anything like that! D-definitely not!" Virgil quickly adds, "I just— I don't know..." He ends in an unsure note, looking down at the floor and he runs his fingers through his hair. Virgil jokes, trying to hide his awkwardness, "I guess the Sorting Hat just didn't have any good option, since I'm certainly not reckless like Gryffindors, so he just put me in Slytherin based on my blood purity or whatever."

Robin nods slowly. She felt empathy for Virgil. He definitely needed a confidence booster. Robin thought he was extraordinarily clever an kind.

"Well, I think you just never had the chance to prove yourself to be an amazing leader or ambitious. I also think you are kind and intelligent. The sorting hat has rarely ever made a mistake and I don't think it made a mistake on you. You just need to trust yourself!" Robin smiles and puts a little skip in her step as she finishes.

Robin could see Virgil being a great leader and friend, he just needed to believe that he could be just that. Though she has heard people say that the sorting hat made a mistake, she didn't really believe it. Some traits just don't show as often as others. Some Ravenclaws are lazy but good students or Gryfindor students are only courageous some of the time.

"I mean don't get me wrong I love my house, but then again some times I wish I was a Ravenclaw. Maybe then I will get even better grades or be more creative in my works, but then deep down I guess I am more loyal and fair to others and myself." Robin quiets herself. Robin realized she went on this self-realizing tangent and blushed.

"Sorry I guess you could say my Hufflepuff came out." Robin giggled.

Robin's compliments make his entire face burn like never before, and the way she smiles after her sweet words make him look down, face a mess, as he plays with his hair, trying to pretend he wasn't affected at all, but failing miserably. Virgil's not used to compliments, especially ones that come from girls — his heart beats so fast he's afraid he'll start jumping around just like the, somewhat adorable, skips Robin takes.

"Thanks..." He mumbles, staring at her as she talks about her house, and how she wishes she'd been sorted in Ravenclaw. Robin apologizes, blushing a little, too, and, now by her side, shoulders barely touching, Virgil gives a little nudge, saying, hopefully sounding smart and not like he's talking out of his ass, "Y-You don't have to be a Ravenclaw to get good grades or be creative. The house you were sorted in doesn't suddenly, uh, give you a boost in your traits and abilities. Y-You being a Hufflepuff doesn't stop you from being the best in class or anything, you know..."

Virgil smiles weakly at her, it's awkward and shy but he hopes that Robin understood what he means. He doesn't feel his cheeks, as they burn intensely on his face, and he breaks eye-contact afraid that the girl might think he's being weird or pathetic — or both. He also takes a step to the left, so they aren't too close.

She watches as his face blush wondering what she said. Robin saw him step a little the left, realizing how close they got and blushed as well. Robin scratched her arm.

"I know, but maybe it will be more...dominant in me? I don't know, I supposed I also would like to change who I am sometimes." Robin shrugs. There was no doubt that Robin was happy to be in Hufflepuff. She was ecstatic, but every so often she would look at the bravery of the Gryfindoors or the creativity that Ravenclaws always seemed to have. While yes, Robin was brave at some points in her life or creative, she wasn't naturally born with it. It took effort and skill.

"I appreciate you saying that though!" Robin smiles. "So, tell me a fact about yourself. Anything." Robin asks interested. She wanted to get to know more about Virgil and was getting closer to the classroom. Hopefully, they will still talk even though classroom talking isn't allowed.

[quote]Virgil sighs, thankful that Robin understood what he meant, and smiles to the floor, as he notices that her cheeks are also painted a light tint of pink. Part of him can't help but think that the Hufflepuff is rather cute. He plays with his robes, trying to ignore that though, but his ears burn, not letting it go that simply.

They're getting closer to their next class, now — there are more Gryffindors and Hufflepuffs down the hallway, talking and laughing. He's never seen Robin in Transfiguration, before, as he often sat in that back, too busy daydreaming or fighting the urge to sleep to notice the students around him. Hopefully, whoever is sitting next to him won't mind if Virgil changes with someone else to sit closer to her. That is if Robin even wanted to talk to him after that.

He wouldn't mind getting to know her better. She seemed sweet, and it feels a hell lot easier to talk to her than some of the other people Virgil knows in this school. The boy snaps out of his thought when the blonde girl asks him to tell her a random fact about himself, with a pretty smile on her face.

"Hm..." Virgil lets out, trying to think of anything cool. It's like his brain's gone blank, and only boring facts about him pop into his head, so he says, lamely, "I draw and write songs, I guess." He shrugs, playing with his hair, "They aren't that bad, but there's nothing special about them either. What about you?"

"You write songs and draw!" Robin exclaims, "That is so cool! Do you sing songs or play an instrument?" Robin asks interested. She never met anyone that wrote songs. She felt as if she was talking to a famous person.

"My interests are not nearly as cool as that! I would love to see or hear them one day if you will let me. I never met anyone that wrote songs. What kind are they? For me, I love to garden, well I loved to garden when I was at home. I haven't had a chance to continue garden here, but hopefully, I will with herbology. My favorite things to garden were flowers but during the winter it was strawberries!" She smiles thinking about her garden at home. It wasn't a big one but it had enough space for Robin to plant tons of flowers that she liked during the spring. Robin didn't want to plant any magical plants but instead wanted flowers and fruits.

Robin saw the doorway to the classroom. 1st years were pouring in or standing by the doorway talking. She glanced at Virgil nervously hoping he will sit next to her so they can continue talking. She notices he usually sat in the back of the class and was willing to move her usually seat to sit in the back with him if that made him more comfortable. He didn't seem like the type of person to sit in the front. Robin slowed her pace a bit so they could talk and walk a little longer.

[quote]Honestly, Virgil wouldn't have pegged Robin to like gardening, so he's sort of surprised as the Hufflepuff talks about her garden back home. Now, looking at her, he can see it as clear as day, her almost golden hair shining with the sun on top of her, watering flowers, concentrated. From what his father's taught him, there's an expression in South Korea, that pretty people are called flowers.

In the back of his mind, the Slytherin thinks it suits Robin perfectly. Instead of complimenting her, however, he says, sweetly, with a simple smile resting on his face, ignoring the creeping blush on his cheeks, "That's actually really nice! Maybe you can even help me with Herbology." Virgil suggests, in a subtle way to tell Robin that he'd like to see her again.

They get close to their classroom, and Virgil ignores how loud the Gryffindors are; they laugh about something, voices roaring. Some boys are trying to step on each other's feet, acting silly. Unconsciously, he rolls his eyes, running his hand through his dark robes. Compared to the lions, the Slytherins and Hufflepuffs standing there look quiet and polite, talking in almost whispers.

He doesn't spot the boy that sits next to him in class which is another excuse to use if he tried to sit next to Robin during class. At the other end of the corridor, Professor Lian appears, looking serious and imposing, as always. Virgil controls the urge to sigh and run away.

"Oh," Virgil snaps out of his thoughts; voice suddenly loud, turning back to Robin. "Answering your question, no, I don't play any instruments, but I sing... Sorta. I'm not that good, but I don't think I'm that terrible either." He covers his weak and forced cough with his hand, adding, almost in a mumble, "C-Can I sit next to you during class? I don't see my partner anywhere..."

"Of course I can help you in Herbology, though I'm not used to magical plants myself," Robin replies. Robin watches as Virgil smiles sweetly. She seemed to like it when Virgil smiled at her. He didn't seem to do it often but when he did it, was really nice.

Robin flinched when all of a sudden there was loud laughing and voices. Robin was a tad bit sensitive to loud noises and hoped the students quiet down in class. She could already feel herself getting a headache. As she looked among the students she saw her partner talking to another girl. Robin didn't really know her partner and wasn't really fond of the way she kept flipping her hair and laughing loudly with her friends in class. Robin sighed in relief when she heard her partner ask her friend to sit with her.

She saw her teacher walking to the classroom. He looked as if this class was the most important thing in the world and no one would tell him otherwise. While robin did agree to some extent, she did wish that the professor would smile once in a while.

"Just like Virgil." Robin thought to herself, glancing at him. Virgil abruptly answered her question Robin asked a while ago.

"Signing! That's amazing! If you're comfortable enough, you should let me hear you! I would love to hear you sing!" Robin exclaimed. She never heard someone sing to her before. She was excited at the thought of it. Just as she was about to say something, Virgil mumbled something to her. Robin had to lean in a little to him to understand what he said but once she figured it out, Robin beamed.

"Of course you can sit next to me! My partner ditched me for someone else anyway so this is perfect!" Robin said smiling. "Let's go get good seats before we lose them!" Robin said almost skipping to the classroom door.

[quote]Walking inside the classroom, trailing behind Robin, scanning the room in order to find a good place for them to seat, he thinks a bit about her suggestion. Virgil doesn't like singing to an audience; music being a passion he held very close to his heart, a secret to everyone else, but, if he managed to find a place where they'd be alone, he finds the thought of singing to the blonde girl doesn't pain his chest as he thought he would. There's not anxiety bubbling inside his chest this time around, which surprises him. It might be the result of him finally getting comfortable around other people, after several weeks of running away.

"Yeah, maybe I can, someday," He whispers to himself, liking the thought of overcoming his stage fright.

Getting a hold of Robin's wrist, he points in the direction of a free table in the table, the perfect place for someone that didn't care about Transfiguration in the slightest. He lets her go, then, adjusting his backpack, follows in that direction, at a quick pace, as the other students had already settled in and the professor seemed to be waiting for them in order to start today's lesson.

Robin's wrist tingles slightly when Virgil lets go. It surprised her when he grabbed her wrist for that split minute. Virgil didn't seem like a touchy type, at least not at first. Robin blushed and nodded following him to the empty seats. The table wouldn't have been her first choice or a choice at all. Robin felt out of place at the table but didn't say anything. Virgil probably felt more comfortable in this spot and Robin was willing to stay.

Robin gets her parchment paper and textbook out along with her favorite pen. Robin preferred to use pen then ink and quill and even notebooks but felt that using notebooks would add to the muggle-ness that she grew up in. When starting school, Robin decided she would only bring a few muggle items like her pen.

Robin flips her hair over her shoulder and looked at Virgil, giving him a small smile before looking at the teacher. She sighs and sits more comfortably in her chair before the lecture could start.
