After Class Conversations

The brunette Slytherin girl smiled happily as another DADA class had come to a close. The lesson was about doxies; annoying little things that Eira hoped she will never have to encounter in the manor, but their other lesson was for the Knockback Jinx, which Eira had seamlessly perfected, as with any offensive spells.
Her marks will surely impress Mr. Sheffield (her tutor) greatly, as she had been pestering him to teach her advanced spells, but her pleas fell on deaf ears. Hopefully, this will prove to the retired Auror that the girl is ready for such a feat.
While she knows that she was in an advantageous position to learn about spellcasting due to her early education as a pure-blood child, she can't help but feel a bit envious of her other classmates who were able to catch up with more complicated classes such as Transfiguration and Potions.
Still, it didn't diminish the respect she has for Muggleborns who had just arrived at a school for magic and was able to keep up with their curriculum like everyone else.
It reminded her of Sadie who had come from a Muggle household but was quite apt on spell work despite her initial skepticism during their first conversation at Diagon Alley.
That felt like a lifetime ago.
As she checked her desk to make sure everything was in order, she began to make plans on what she will do next before attending the next Astrology class. The thought made her shudder; though she does love the cold nights in Hogwarts, she's not enticed in spending the evening looking up the skies with a telescope. She'd rather spend her time practicing wand movements and spells in the chamber.
And for some reason, she could feel like she was being watched...

After Class Conversations
Sebastian realised that following your classmate down the hallway after your recent class together was probably at least a little bit weird, but he was nothing if not as optimist. He was sure this would be when he was able to make great friends. And maybe she'd have friends he could be introduced to.
This year hadn't really clicked for Sebastian. He never cared much for academics, truth be told, but usually had no issue making friends. Hogwarts was the exception to that. It seemed like he'd been placed in a whole other universe. He wouldn't be surprised if that was actually the case. Barely finding time and barely even knowing how to write to his parents, it was getting rather lonely.
It was funny. It'd be funny if it wasn't his actual life. Sebastian had come here with aspirations to be an amazing wizard. Best ever! But that didn't seem at all likely now. He'd need to study harder and pay more attention in lessons. Sometimes he catches himself wondering what it'd be like if he went on to a muggle secondary school like all his old friends had. Hopefully not better than this, so he can still say "it could always be worse."
"Hi!" the freckled student beamed with his eyes wide and a large grin painted across his face, gap between teeth obvious and unbrushed hair in different directions. "I'm Sebastian Kitt- we take Defense Against The Dark Arts together?" should he shorten it? Sebastian knew for a fact that muggle pupils didn't go around saying "mathematics" all the time. "You seemed nice enough. Plus, we're both Slytherin!"

After Class Conversations

Exiting the classroom, Eira was contemplating whether in studying in the common room or maybe seek out some of her friends when she heard loud steps behind her and sidestepped automatically; she had been pushed and almost trampled over several times in the corridors that it didn't register to her that someone was talking to her.
She turned around and saw a boy with wild ginger hair that looked positively untameable and freckles splayed on his face, which reminded her of the numerous stars in the night sky.
When he introduced himself as being her classmate and not to mention a Slytherin such as herself, Eira quickly gave a side curtsey, dipping her head in a soft bow for respect before giving her introductions, "It's a pleasure to meet you, Sebastian Kitt. My name is Eira Reyne Cravensworth, or just Eira."
She adjusted the handle of her satchel as she tilted her head in curiosity: "My apologies, I haven't memorized all of my classmates' names yet. Since we are in the same year, how do you find our classes so far? I adore Defense Against the Dark Arts, though Charms is a very close second to be a favorite of mine."
It was an unexpected event, that is for certain. She never had someone follow her out of the class to talk to her casually, but then, she's always open to such opportunities. And mayhaps he can be a constant figure in her Hogwarts life.
