As Angela walked into potions class she sat down by a Hufflepuff student and looked at her for a moment processing her partner, blue eyes, taller than her, long black hair that was styled in pigtails, and an eerie pale complexion. She thought she was nice and turned her head as soon as the professor came in "Hello and welcome first years! Today we will be doing the herbicide potion, it will do nothing to us since this potion is different but please be careful and read the pages correctly for if you do the wrong potion or do the potion incorrectly there will be various different reactions so there is no telling what may happen. Good luck and get working" The professor smiled as everybody got started on reading and mixing the ingredients into their cauldrons. Angela turned to the page and began working, mumbling the ingredients. 

A gust of wind came through the classroom, which was weird since the class was in the dungeons. The professor looked at the door and yelled at the kids "Hey! You can't do the Ventus Jinx! Five points  from Hufflepuff and Slytherin!" The professor closed the door and looked back at everyone as the Hufflepuff students and the Slytherin students groaned and complained. Angela shook her head and looked at the wrong pages as the Hufflepuff student Teiki Laurent introduced herself "Hello, Angela but you may call Angie or Angel, Ravenclaw" She looked back at the ingredients which seemed different and looked a bit weird but ignored it and did the ingredients as the book told her.

She looked over as everybody has varied results when it came to the final stir, some finishing results were red smoke, others were light rays and others were bubbles? She looked into her cauldron and put in the next ingredient as the professor began talking again "If you want to see if you made the right potion taste it. It will not harm you since this is a modified potion but if you do not want to taste it then just pour it on the plant next to the cauldron" Everybody looked at each other as some took a small sip of the potion and others simply poured it on the plants. Anglea looked at her potion once it was finished and looked at it, it was orange. Was it supposed to be orange? She looked at it as other students looked at her "Drink it Ravenclaw! You won't" A Slytherin student laughed at her and make chicken noises, Angela took a few moments and re-read the page to make sure she did it right

@Angela Nelson | Potions Room

Teiki watched the other girl take charge, mumbling something under her breath. Then a gust of wind came and Teiki closed her eyes. Had her eyes been open, she would've seen the pages shift to a new potion. Greetings completed, she decided to call the other girl "Angel." Something about her blond hair, she wasn't entirely sure why.

Deciding that the Ravenclaw would be reading over the potion, she quickly read the ingredients and brought them to the table. Making sure the measurements were correct, she handed them over to Angel, allowing her to do the mixing. The instructions seemed quite simple, which surprised her for some reason.

The results varied, not just for them, but for most tables. She wondered if the teacher was worried about this lesson. Everything seemed different. When someone called out to Angel, Teiki attempted not to freeze up a bit. She wasn't sure what Angel would decide, but she had decided she would back her up on it.

"Hey, if you do decide to drink it, shall we take it at the same time? I don't know, as partners?" Teiki shrugged, glancing back at the Slytherin. "Don't decide based off on what they said." Teiki decided to keep her focus on Angel, because she knew while she wanted to glare at them, she just... didn't feel like it.

If Angel decided to drink it, she would split the potion into two flasks, before handing one flask to Angel. If she decided not to drink it, she would let Angel pour it on the plant.

She nodded to herself as she read the page and it showed the correct ingredients, she decided to drink it and looked at Teiki "Together" She smiled and divided the potion into two flasks, and handed one to the Hufflepuff student next to her. "Hey, guys! Ravenclaw is gonna drink it!" The Slytherin yelled as people turned to watch her drink the potion "On three. ready? One....two...three!" Angela drank the potion in her flask with one shoosh and swallowed it, she felt weird inside and looked a bit sick as her skin turned a light orange. 


She coughed and looked as everyone backed away from her, the professor watched too wanting to see what would happen "I...I don't feel so good" Her stomach growled as her skin turned more orange, her head turning a deeper shade than the rest of her body, her hair going from dirty blonde to a weird yellowish-orange as she gripped her stomach in a bit of pain. Her dark brown eyes turned to a lighter brown, then red, and finally a very pale orange. Everybody watched with interest as both hers and Teikis appearance changed. "I believe you girls made the wrong potion" The professor hid back a laugh but it didn't stop the other students from letting off scattered chuckles, gasp, and laughs. "Hahahaha! You made the wrong potion! Dummy Ravenclaw!" Not so smart now huh" The Slytherin laughed as his minion Slytherin friends laughed after him and chanted "Idiot Ravenclaw" over and over again.

"Continue this banter and 10 points will be taken away from Slytherin. Are girls alright? It looks like you two made the pompion potion" The professor walked over to them, their shoes clicked as they walked on the concrete floor and over to their table as their transformations continued. People started to whisper and look at their books, the Slytherins laughed in silence with each other but continuing to mouth chant the words "Idiot Ravenclaw" Angela felt embarrassed at her being the only group to get the potion wrong, how could she get it wrong? She was the smartest person in her family next to her father, she was a sad excuse for a Ravenclaw student and wanted to go back to her dorm and wallow in peace.

After a few minutes, her head turned into a full hallowed out pumpkin, her eyes were black holes and her mouth was carved in. She looked like a starting costume for Halloween. She looked around as everyone burst into laughter "Oh dear. Don't worry we will fix this, it is only temporary and last about half an hour" A thunderous laughter could be heard and Angela looked down at her hands, which were a light orange, she was sad and wanted to cry but she wouldn't allow herself. She looked at her Hufflepuff partner "Sorry" Her carved mouth was curved down and her eyes were sad as she began to gather her stuff and go to her dorm.

@Angela Nelson | Potions Room

Teiki nodded when Angel asked if she was ready. She inwardly glared at the Slytherins, but kept her composure. When three was said, Teiki tilted her head back and drank it all, ignoring how horrible it tasted. The professor had said something about this no? Herbicide potion wasn't meant to be drunk, but it could be if it was truly necessary.

When she started feeling her head grow, she knew they had done something wrong. Looking over at her partner, she watched as the other started turning more and more orange, and appeared sick. She watched the other clutch her stomach, wincing. While Teiki didn't feel sick to the stomach, her head felt as though someone had decided to hammer on her skull. It was pounding, at it certainly wasn't pleasant. Glancing back at herself, she realized that she was turning more orange as well. Finally, her head felt light and.. carved? She didn't really enjoy the feeling, and she wasn't entirely sure how the anatomy worked, but she was alive and conscious, so she would take that as a plus.

"Yeah, no. I think we figured that out." Teiki muttered under her breath. Then, she addressed the Slytherins. "And we're not both Ravenclaw." That quieted the Slytherin for a moment before they continued.

"Yeah, well, Hufflepuff were never smart." The Slytherin smirked, as his group and a few others laughed with him. It was embarrassing, but she couldn't really blush with a pumpkin head, so she decided to take advantage of that fact. She looked at her partner, who still had her head done, despite the transformation being complete.

"Hey, we weren't the only ones to get it wrong. Did you see the people with bubbling glue? It's perfectly fine." She murmured, only allowing her partner to hear. But her partner had decided to leave. To where, Teiki had no idea, but she could understand why she would want to leave a room that was thundering with laughter. Hearing that it would only last for half an hour. Nodding, she decided that she would take herself to the Hospital Room, just to stay there for- well- half an hour. Until the Pumpkin Head wore off and she could go on with her daily activities.

Angela went to the abandoned bathrooms on the second floor and sat there for a while until the head wore off, she brought herself together and refused to get butt hurt over a potion gone wrong and a few Slytherins. When the head finally did wear off she went up to the Owlery, she didn't have an owl yet since many first years didn't, but she went up there to watch the owls fly out and come back. Ever since she was little Angela had a particular fondness of animals and many animals liked her, as she made her way up the steps of the west tower she saw the owls fly around. 

As she entered the high tower the mixed smell of Owl dropping, old straw and skeletons that still had some meat on them, almost made Angela puke right then and there but she didn't her brothers was a lot worse. She made her way over to the owls that were perched and stroked them, she was gentle or else they would get aggressive, she made her way to the very top to get a better view of them flying around. When she walked up the steps however she bumped into Teiki "Ah, poerygl iddo, sorry" She looked and saw it was the Hufflepuff girl from her potions class, she fixed her hair and stood there looking at her, the girl was a lot taller than her and it made Angela a bit jealous "Excuse me" Her voice was soft as she spoke, like the bold girl who drank and made the wrong potion in potions class wasn't there. 

She looked past her and saw a Blakiston's fish owl, she rushed past her and slowly made her way to the owl, it looked at her and watched her movements as she talked to herself "Tylluan mor brydferth, hardd iawn yn wir" She stroked its head, its feathers were so soft and the owl was so large it was phenomenal. She needed to get an owl to write to her parents about this, she looked back and remembered the girl "Oh sorry" She looked down, ashamed of her manners as the owl flew off once again, she turned and watched it soar

@Angela Nelson | Owlery

She had received another letter from her parents. She hadn't opened it quite yet, but the homework today had been slim, so after leaving the Hospital Wing, she picked up her letter from the dorm and went up to the owlery to read it. Walking up, she bumped into Angel again. She blinked a few times, wondering how it could be the same girl. She never ran into people this much. But she decided not to think about it too much, more wishing to be able to have enough time to read and reply to the letter that was clutched in her hands.

"Hey, Angel." Teiki waved, then noticed that the girl seemed quieter than usual. Usual being based off of one moment, though, so she wasn't sure how accurate she could be when coming to her conclusion. She did learn, though, that the other girl spoke a different language. Interesting. Teiki watched as she went over to an owl, stroking it. Maybe a family owl, or a friend's owl? She had no clue, nor did she really want to ask.

"What language was that? And do you speak any other languages asides from those two?" Teiki glanced around at the owlery, and the note. She had gotten used to the environment in the owlery, but her keen eyesight showed her that Angel wasn't really used to this place. She could understand, it had taken her some time as well. She nodded, before wondering if Angel would even understand why she was nodding. She inwardly shrugged before looking back at Angel.

"Oh no, it's fine. It looked like a pretty owl."

@Teiki Laurent

She nodded "Oh um I'm from Wales so I am welsh. English is more of a second language for me but I also speak a little bit of Latin, Austrian, and I'm fluent in greek" She smiled since she taught herself Latin and Greek at an early age but Austrian was her mothers' language so she also learned a bit of that when she was young. It was a bit chilly as the wind picked up a bit, making the owls take flight or screech, she looked up and saw the letter in her hands "A letter from home I presume?" She asked and examed it, it was wrinkled a bit but the writing she could see was neat. "I haven't gotten a letter yet but that's ok, I only came up here to see the owls like the one you saw me stroked. That was a Blakiston's fish owl, one of the largest and rarest owls of them all. You don't see them often" 

She fiddled with her fingers and took a step away from the edge since a fall from this height would be catastrophic and the person would die unless they used a spell to keep from hitting the ground, she hadn't been to flying class yet, nor learned any charms or spells to keep her from hitting the ground since they were first-years and she only been to two classes so far. As the wind picked up the owls screeched more which made Angela a bit anxious but she brushed it off and decided to break the awkward silence. "So how was the half-hour with the pumpkin head" She wasn't being mean it was a general question since her half-hour she spent reading it made her head hurt a bit but it was an overall nice and unique experience for her which made her laugh at herself. She looked weird laughing at nothing and waved her hand "Sorry" she stopped laughing and watched as Teikis black hair blew in the wind.

@Angela Nelson | Owlery

"Wow." Teiki looked impressed at the other girl. She only knew two languages, but this other girl knew five. She could understand why the other girl felt pride over that fact. Teiki would too, if she knew that many languages. She closed her eyes for a moment, letting the wind caress her cheek. If she really tried, it could remind her of France. But since she was in the owlery, she wasn't able to take her mind off of the place that she wasn't actually in. She smiled softly, opening her eyes again to watch the other girl. Instead, she noticed the owls, who seemed a little annoyed at the wind interrupting their naps.

"Wow. That's cool. I would've never guessed. And yes, it's a letter from my parents. They're rightfully protective." Teiki smiled, knowing that she wasn't ready to be dropped off of the deep end for anything. The only thing that she found easy were word searches and finding details. But that wasn't really enough to help in real life.

Angel stepped away from the edge. Smart. While Teiki wasn't near the edge, she tried to figure out some of Angel's personality by watching her. She seemed quite fidgety, as if she needed to do something in every moment. Teiki could understand that, she felt either similar, or the exact opposite, with no ability to stay in between the two types.

She laughed. "It was fine, surprisingly. I got a massive headache, though, so that wasn't fun. But I did do some sketching. Just a little doodling to waste the half an hour without getting bored. You?" She waved off the apology from Angel, telling her that it was no big deal, and an interesting experience at that.

@Teiki Laurent

"I read a book in the abandoned lavatories on the second floor. So I did really nothing" She shrugged as the wind picked up, the owls flew over both Teiki and Angela which made her more anxious. The owls could be heard making an arrangement of different noises some hooted, others screeched or shrieked, those were warning signs that something bad was gonna happen "I...um think we need to leave...now" Her voice could barely be heard from the owls and soon a nearby thundercloud was coming towards them she watched as multiple owls began to bomb-dive at them, and others did a fly-by where they flew by Angelas and Teikis heads or bodies and scratched them with their sharp claws.

 "Watch out!" She yelled as she began to get scratched or pecked by the owls as they continued to shriek and screech. She covered her head and fell to the ground but she tried to keep an eye on Teiki if she needed help. The noises got so unbearable as they got attacked, she tried to crawl on the floor to get away, she just needed to get inside the Owlery. She looked up and saw Teiki getting attacked wishing she was in charm class so she could've learned something that might've been able to help them.

It began to rain, not just a light drizzle, like completely pouring down on them. Students could be seen rushing inside Hogwarts to get away from the rain, whatever they were doing outside had been postponed. Angela thought it was just a coincidence that the two times she and Teiki would meet something bad happened, she just began to think of ways to get out of this situation. "We need to go!" She yelled over the dive-bombs, screeches, rain, and thunder. She stood up and got hit again, an owl had scratched her on her face, it wasn't deep but it was bleeding, curse owls and their incredibly sharp claw, curse this stupid wind and rain. She grumbled and tried not to fall back against the powerful winds being accumulated by the thunderstorm, she shielded her eyes and made her way over to the Hufflepuff student trying to help her. This was so far the worst day Angela had had.
