Jamie did not believe himself to be a dramatic person. Quietly depressed on some days and disappointing on others, yes, but never dramatic. He knew how to carry himself, knew to always maintain a steady eye on exactly how others could perceive him and his actions. The accuracy of this "eye" could sometimes be called into question, but its presence was undeniable nonetheless.

With this in mind, the youth believed it was his lack of dramatics that caused those opposite in nature to flock towards him.

Anogg from their clan pre-education days, that odd pen pal of his during the trip to Beauxbâtons, and the very, very peculiar adult he referred to as his dukun. The latter's existence was the most unfortunate of the three, as it saw the highest level of unwanted interaction due to his own role as an apprentice.

From energized wake-up calls done far too early in the morning, to vague questions and uncomfortable staring contests, he simply could not crack his instructor's code. It was as if the man saw something inside of Jamie that he could not yet understand—no, something he did not wish to understand. Not yet. Not when he was far more used to others looking past him and not directly at his soul.

The better part of Jamie's mind was hoping for salvation through the older wizard. The human part of Jamie's mind relished in the assignments he was given, for it was often a means of escape from his teacher. An excuse to turn away from change and what it could possibly mean.

For the moment, he was already engaged in one such assignment: the independent study of Tenūsa's local plant life. Simple.

He remained close to the edge of Omah Geni, far enough to examine the flora undisturbed, yet close enough to be safe should anything threaten his safety. The boy was meant to examine the sprawling roots and branches of trees in the area, and something about the connection between "form" and "function" of life with magic.

His dukun—once again, a peculiar man with peculiar interests—claimed it was a concept often present in... "biology"? A muggle field of study. Despite not carrying the haughtiness often expected of purebloods, said background meant he could not exactly pinpoint the relation between the two. What insights could muggles provide on a magical education? Confusing indeed.

Though, as the tiniest beam of sunlight shone through the canopy above, striking the back of his head and providing a subtle warmth, Jamie could not say he cared much for the details.

He sat upon a nearby stone, a notepad in one hand and quill in the other. Then, he chose a tree at random and got to work on jotting down various bits of information—the color, the size of the roots, its appearance compared to the other vegetation surrounding it.

Peace. That is what he appreciated the most from his assignments as a pewari—separation from the dramatics of those who insisted on clinging to his person.

However, he quickly became too engrossed in his work, and failed to notice a small bird stealthily perching itself atop his head. It chirped on occasion but ultimately remained in place, a ridiculous consequence to indulging in the silence of nature.

*Omah Geni*
Sunday played with a rock. Sitting crisscross on the floor, playing with a rock while Theo babbled on about something or another. Something like 'important' so Sunday looked up at that, then he said 'charms' and lost her interest just like that. She went back to playing with the rock, throwing it on the ground, and then picking it up right after. Going again and again. Watching as it fell, She could kinda hear him sigh. "Ok Sunday, how about a break?" Now that, that she heard, looking up with a smile. A break sounded perfect. "Just be back in an hour."

Sunday nodded, and stood up, rock laying forgotten on the ground. "Right, yes of course, an hour. No more, and no less." Sunday said all this packing her bag up, knowing full and well that she couldn't tell time. She was far to used to her nannies keeping track of it for her. Maybe she should invest in a watch, or a new purse. That sounded a lot better. "One hour, And I'll be back so you can babble about history again." She barley stuck around to hear him correct, the fact it was charms and not history.

That was a later issue. Sunday for now, could skip through the grounds and find something much better then the 'history' lesson, or maybe it was Astronomy? Whatever, she could reset. What better way then- HEY! She paused, then looked back at something, oh yes! It was him. Jamie from quidditch, he was a beater. For sure. The one that got the balls in the goals. He was really good at it, so she heard at least. She didn't pay much attention to the others on the field. Mostly focused on finding the snitch she was. "Hey Jamie!" She called out, waving.

He didn't look to busy, just had some bird on his head. And good lord was his outfit boring. Sunday hadn't talked much to him, didn't know his last name. But he was pretty cool, she thought. Sunday sat next to him, and took off one of her necklaces that she was wearing, and slipped it over his head, scaring off the bird. Oh well, his outfit was far more interesting now. "There you go Jamie!" She flashed him a smile to, sitting back on the ground across from him, nodding at her work. "Now your outfit is much better, you should use more accessories." They made or broke an outfit, made one with them, and if they didn't, why even b0other going out? "You can keep that one, made it myself." She was very proud of it.

The tree roots he chose to examine were thick, sprawling, as if they were attempting to claim as much of the ground as possible. Their size implied... Right, function and form. What did it imply? In this tropical environment, where the greenery likely did not want for water, were they still trying to store as much water and nutrients as possible? Or... ? No, there was something about its relation to the school. In the mass of information taught to him during his clan days, he could at least recall something to that effect. Best to jot that—

"Hey Jamie!"

—down. Oh. He recognized that voice, its high-pitched and energetic nature tugging at his memory strings. Quidditch and quaffles flooded his mind, the voice ringing true at the start and end of every meeting, yet silenced in the middle of their practice matches. A phenomenon not many could understand, and most certainly not himself.

Languidly, the youth tilted his head to face the direction said voice came from. Lo and behold, there Sunday stood—or rather, there she waved and happily walked over to him. Yet another person keen on dramatics drawn to his peaceful atmosphere, surely with the intent of burning it all to the ground.

Still, Jamie held nothing against her, especially when they had yet to properly know one another. From what he understood, she was merely excitable and... confusing. And bright. Speaking of, what on earth was she wearing? Momentarily, he was reminded of those muggle "fast-food" chains he often saw back in Hawaii. Mc-something. McDanny's? It was enough to make him vaguely nauseous, but he kept this hidden with ease.

"Hello Sunday," he acknowledged in return, curtly nodding his head towards her, though not without a polite smile attached.

It faltered only when she plopped herself down next to him, uninvited. And his eye twitched when she threw an ugly—... when she threw an incredibly creative and colorful trinket over his neck. Unprovoked. There was also an odd flapping sound, and a quick glance in the opposite direction showed a bird seeking escape from the sudden movements. The interruption, unwanted. He envied its ability to do so.

Swiftly, his gaze returned to the highlighter that was his impromptu acquaintance, "Um, Sunday—"

"There you go Jamie! Now your outfit is much better, you should use more accessories."

"Thank... you? But Sunday—"

"You can keep that one, made it myself."

He blinked. Then he blinked again. Then, he took a deep breath and closed his eyes for one, two seconds, just to calm the nerves he could feel prodding at his well-kept demeanor. His sister. Think of his sister. Gather the patience as he always does, and approach the situation in a way that would best honor her. Besides, he'd gone through much worse than this in the past. Surely. By the time his eyes opened again, he was ready.

"It's beautiful, Sunday, and I'm grateful you've given it to me. I also appreciate the... fashion advice. You are very kind," he spoke, careful and gentle, almost like the girl was a much younger student rather than someone his own age. After all, she was trying to be nice. Incredibly disruptive, yes, but she was being nice. She was being nice.

"What brings you out here, if you don't mind me asking? I'm in the middle of an assignment myself. It takes a great deal of focus and careful thought, you see..." he trailed off, wondering, hoping she would possibly get what he was hinting at.

Jamie sure liked to say her name a lot, Saying 'Sunday' after almost every thing that she said. It reminded her of well- everyone. They liked saying her name, 'Sunday don't do that' 'Sunday try to focus' 'Sunday, Sunday, Sunday.' Maybe it was because she had such a cool name and all that other fun things, She didn't mind really though. She just liked that she was being thought of. After all, it was always the thought that counted.

Just like she though he would, he loved the necklace she had made, Even called her thoughtful and kind. Maybe not those exact word, but close enough for Sunday! "Thank you Jamie! I didn't make it with you in mind per-say, but it just fits you so well!" She smiled largely at him, her grey eyes meeting his eyes, almost unblinking like a little kids. Wide, and one could imagen there wasn't a single thought in her head. "Anyway, I'm glad that you like it. Your outfit was just like soooo boring." Sunday reached into her bag, that was shaped like a hamburger today she had lots of bags. And pulled out a sandwich, in a well- sandwich bag, in a brow paper bag, that had been in her hamburger bag. Funny how things work like that.

The thing about Sunday was, she was very oblivious to things. Like Jamie's tone. She took a bite of the sandwich and shrugged leaning up to peak at his notes. Looked boring. Like his outfit. She at back down on the ground and shrugged, covering her mouth with a ring covered hand. She wasn't finished chewing fully. "I -mhmp- cant focus myself." She swallowed of course, man, it was hard work talking with your mouth full. She would have to practice to get better at it. Her words had come out all, muffled. "It was so boring Jamie, Theo was going on, and on about like-" Her face fell for a second, in what could perhaps be described as concertation. She had forgotten. "I think it was transfiguration- whatever, it was boring. So I'm on a break."

Again Sunday tried to peak at his work, forgetting that it had been boring from her first sneak peak. "What are you working on? Is it boring to? You can take a break with me." She smiled brightly at him, fully believing with all her heart that taking breaks was something all students needed to do. Or got to do. It was so great, why wouldn't everyone do it? "maybe we could go practice quidditch! I have like lots of time." She didn't. She didn't care, not a lot at least. One couldn't blame her that much for it. She didn't have a watch. "your like really good, and maybe! oh oh!! Maybe you could try finding the snitch, and I could do the goal keeping, that's the bulger stuff." She had the confidence, that was for sure.

She took another bite and then chewed it really quickly, perhaps to quickly. Then swallowed the half chewed food. "Where are my manners!" She quickly said, holding out one half of her sandwich- cut into triangles, the superior way to do it -"here! have some, it's really good, like tomato, that leafy stuff, I think it's chicken? I don't remember really, but have some!" She smiled up at him again. "Mom always says sharing is carrying and what not." She paused, a mysterious smirk on her face. "But we don't have to share with Theo, this'll be our secret, kay?"
