Val had decided to get up early on a peaceful morning to take in some air, she loved this time of day; usually no people around. She would find a patch of grass and outside and rest, She liked the silence compared to the noise usually in the school. She had made her way out of her common room and went to find a peaceful place to rest, as she walked down through the quiet halls in the school she had just been grinning, ‘cause ever since she started the idea of heading out early in the morning stress has been leaving her head and she had finally be put at ease. She made her way outside to relax especially since the ball had gotten to her cause she was trying to just chill in her dorm, but the noise hadn’t let her. She walked outside and into the courtyard, the breeze immediately hitting her face. She took a deep breath and made her way to her usual spot. As she arrived she noticed someone she had never seen before lying down at her usual spot. First off she was surprised someone was up this early, but her shock turned into annoyance as she had loved this spot. She took a breath and relaxed assuming he was from the other schools ‘cause of the ball, so she couldn’t blame him, she walked over and hovered over him bringing her head down a bit to look at him. She gently poked his cheek, causing him to open his eyes. “Hello, are you alr?” She asked gently.

Dylan slowly opened his eyes when someone or something nudged him. He was surprised to find a girl he didn't think he had ever seen before crouching down and staring at him as he lay there. Immediately, Dylan shot up and stood. Brushing off the grass that clung to his blue hoddie and jeans. "Hi, and yeah. I'm okay. Sorry. Was I in your way?" Dylan asked. Still flustered from being startled and unsure of what to say. Avery was the one that did well around people she didn't know. He didn't. He had always been terrible at starting a conversation. Dylan shook the grass out of his already mess of hair. He at least had to look somewhat presentable, or everyone would think he was homeless instead of being the son of a well-known pureblood family. His mother would kill him if she saw him like this outside of their house. Of course Dylan didn't really care about appearances. It was early in the morning and he was at the school that he had always dreamed of attending with his cousin. Unfortunately that dream ended a long time ago because of many problems that arose that he didn't even know the answers to.

"No, you weren't. Well you were, I come here every morning to unwind every morning, but I dont mind sharing" well she did mind, but since he was nice Val didnt see why not. So Val sat next to him, and he shuffled over to make room for her. She turned to face, taking in his facial futures; he has messy-wavy hair, and bright blue eyes, and despite Val trying to dismiss the thought, she still thought that the boy was really cute. "I'm Valentin btw, Valentin DeAngelo" Val said looking at him with a small smile, a rare smile Val doesn't just show to anyone. She noticed there was still some grass on his hoodie, so she gently helped him to dust them off. "I can see why you would be up this early, the ball was a really drag made me drained of energy... Do you find the silence peaceful?" Val was thinking about the ball, the noise, the people, it was all just to much for her, she was just trying to read a book in her dorm for Christ's Sake! But nooo it had to be ruined by people who just wanted to do some dumb ball for their own leisure. Val looked at the boy, who was already looking at Val. "What is wrong with me! Im acting so mushy, the thought of it makes me feel weird" Val sat next to the boy in silence awaiting his response to her question, well she wasnt going to force him if he wasn't open to sharing, even if she was curious.

"Nice to meet you, Valentin. I'm Dylan. Dylan Astor. Are you a Hogwarts student?" Dylan asked with a smile. The girl was pretty with long brown hair and hazel eyes. Just like Avery, but also not. This girl was different. She caused something to stir inside of him deep down. Something that made him nervous, and he couldn't place it. Couldn't understand it. Dylan nodded before saying, "Yeah. The ball was a mess last night. I just needed a break from all the chaos that it brought, you know?" He didn't know if she actually knew or not. It would be awkward if she didn't, but he got the feeling she understood. He guessed that was why she was up and around early this morning. Dylan smiled back at her as he looked into her hazel eyes. Something stood behind them, some feeling that he couldn't decipher. Maybe it was whatever he was feeling, or maybe it was something completely different. He hadn't had a ton of experience with girls since his cousin Avery wasn't a girly-girl. She was tough, strong, and not afraid to speak her mind. That's what he had always admired about her. Her courage and resilience.

"Nice to meet ya, Dylan and yes I am a Hogwarts student, Gryffindor First Year" Val looked at Dylan and couldn't help but stare into his beautiful blue eyes, even if Val had just met him, He gave her this feeling in her stomach, something she has never felt before for anyone. Val had tried to shake of the feeling by ignoring it, but it had no effect. "I understand what you're saying, when you're just trynna chill and people who think that no one else but themselves matter have to ruin that" Val turned her head to see Dylan looking at her again with those same gorgeous, blue eyes. Val didn't know why she gets this feeling whenever he looks at her, he was just so, so... to Val there was no words to describe him. "Oh, I forgot to ask, what school do you go to?"She said wrapping her arms around her legs, and tilting her head to look at his face. A sudden breeze, blew at them it was quite cold at the moment, she only had a shirt on and a pair of jeans so yeah she was freezing. Oh well, she continued staring at him, awaiting his reply

Dylan nodded and smiled again. She was a first year Gryffindor. Just like Avery. He wanted to ask if he knew her but thought against it. Now was not the time to bring that up. He had to get to know the girl better first and see if she actually knew her instead of making thigs awkward if she didn't know his cousin. Dylan nodded his head in agreement. He had never been one that enjoyed fancy parties or large crowds. He had always preferred more solitary things where very few people were. The only person that had been able to drag him to the ball the night before was Avery. And, as much as he enjoyed it, the crowds were a bit much for him. "Oh. I'm a first year Thunderbird from Ilvermony. Though I wish I could be here. It's always been my dream to attend this place to my cousin, but I can't do that since I live in America for the time being, you know?" She probably didn't know, but it was worth a try of asking. She seemed like a sweet girl and she was pretty, so he really didn't know what else to say.

"I understand, although im an only child and dont have any other relatives in another school, i get the feeling of wanting to be with someone close to you" Val said looking at the sky. Val turned her head and caught Dylan staring at her again, so she decoded to tease him a bit to lighten the mood. Val then proceeded to poke his cheek woth index finger repeatedly, "why do you keep staring at me, hmm? If you have a question just ask" Val said looking at him with a cheeky grin on her face. She noticed that Dylan seemed to get flustered when she did that, and she thought that was cute too. She snickered a bit at his reaction, finding his flushed face very funny. "Anyways, behind that let me get to know you more. I will tell you some stuff about me and i you tell me stuff about you, got it?" Dylan nodded, and then Val began thinking of what to tell him "Oh! I really love Quidditch im joining the team soon! I like reading and writing, im currently writing a book, i like early mornings and rainy nights! Now you" Val looked at him awaiting his answer, as he was thinking of what to say Val was staring at him again with a smile on her face. Which is surprising 'cause Val doesnt smile a lot she only smiles for her mom, dad and bff's, but she couldn't help but smile at Dylan. "God, why is he so cute he gives me this turning feeling in my tummy. Like I drank an unfinished potion" Val found his looks mesmerising and enchanting, his most noticeable future his gorgeous blue eyes. Val had told him everything so she didn't have much more to say as she waited patiently awaiting his response

Dylan smiled and was a bit flustered when she began poking his cheek again. He wasn't sure why he was feeling this way, but something changed within him. Like a wall that he created was crumbling before his eyes. Allowing light to shine there for the first time. Dylan nodded his head in agreement when she said they would each tell something about them. As he listened to her, he didn't know what to say. What was there to say? That he was enjoying Hogwarts? No. That wouldn't be right. That all he wanted was to go home? No. That wouldn't be good either. That's when he decided to just wing it without thinking and see where it took him. That sounded the most logical and something he would do anyway. "Well, I guess you could say my favorite color is blue, I love the feeling of running through the woods, I enjoy thunderstorms, I can speak both Welsh and English fluently, and that's pretty much it as far as me. Sorry that I'm not more interesting." Dylan kicked himself internally for not being that interesting. He had been so focused on just surviving through school and finally going home for Spring Break and the summer that he hadn't really thought about joining a sport.

"No, no! You are very interesting to me, you can speak both Welsh and English! That is super interesting! I can speak Spanish, Latin, and English. I'm Costa Rican btw" Val said with a smile on her face, she truly did think Dylan was interesting. Val stared blankly at Dylan, as she once again stared at his eyes. "By the way, why is your cheek so soft" Val said recalling when she was poking Dylan's cheek. "What do you even eat to make it that soft?" Val said looking at Dylan, who had a shocked face from her random question. She giggled slightly at his expression and he just kept looking at her with a shocked face, trying to figure out if she was serious about her question. Then Dylan started laughing too, and the both of them were laughing together. When they finally both stopped laughing Val stood up. "Follow me, I need to show you something before we have to go!" Val said excitedly. She reached out to Dylan, who took her hand. "Woah! His hands are weirdly soft but have a firm grip" Val snapped out of her trance and started running towards what she wanted to show Dylan. She began slowing down her pace and they reached a valley covered with many flowers. "I come here whenever I'm angry, usually by myself. Thought i'd show it to you!" Val looked at Dylan awaiting his response.
